[Q] Find My Mobile Setting Galaxy S5 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

I've searched all around this forum and haven't seen anybody with this issue.
I cannot find the Find My Mobile Setting, which was supposed to be on Settings > Security > Remote Control.
Does anyone know if this setting was suppressed on SGS5 or just on T-Mobile's SM-G900T? How to enable this setting?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much!!!
Sorry for bothering you, but I have a few more questions. I am from Brazil and these modifications on Android made by T-Mobile really bothers me:
1) If I install a custom Rom, will fix these problems (T-Mobile's modifications)?
2) Do you know if there is a Non Branded Firmware for SM-G900T or any other stock firmware compatible with this model?
Thanks for helping me!!!

1. Depends which rom
2. Yes, anything in the international S5 section on XDA is compatible with the g900t. Those will remove all the tmobile modifications.

@aooga, you really helped me. Once again, thank you very much!
Last questions, I promise
1. Depends which rom
So, what you are saying is that depends on which Android this Rom is based, correct? For example, the AllianceRom based on SM-G900F is a free modifications Rom, is that right?
2. Yes, anything in the international S5 section on XDA is compatible with the g900t. Those will remove all the tmobile modifications.
I downloaded the stock firmware of SM-G900M on the international S5 section, but I couldn't flash it without Root. Should I root my device first?
Thanks in advance

1. If it is based on G900F software, then yes, the tmobile stuff will be removed. That's the stock international phone.
2. No need to flash the whole firmware...things can go wrong with that. Just flash a rom in TWRP (custom recovery). Don't use odin for anything. Yes, you need to root and install custom recovery in order to flash roms. Again, do NOT flash anything in ODIN. Find a rom that is flashable in recovery, not a firmware that's flashable in odin.
Hope it helps. :good:

It's disabled via csc. It's enabled in my rom or just use a file manager to open system/csc/features.xml. Then find the two options that say find my mobile and change false to true and reboot. Enjoy!

Which rom based on the original Android and without the T-Mobile modifications you suggest me to install? I'd really appreciate if you could help me once more.

Well if you are referring to an aosp based rom that isn't TouchWiz then there isn't over yet. My rom is the project infinity rom. The only real differences between the international roms and the t mobile roms is the t mobile roms have WiFi calling and HD voice included. Check the Android development forums for either and compare them, they all focus on different things and have there strengths and weeknesses.

[Q] Can i flash a SM-G900F firmware in the t-mo variant?

As the title says, can I flash a firmware from the European qualcomm S5 SM-G900F in my t mobile SM-G900T??

Whatever you try, don't flash the bootloaders from any other phone to your device, unless you absolutely know what you're doing.
Otherwise, you might just give it a shot. If you have a good recovery (e.g. TWRP) or something that you can use to get back to stock easily, then there's little risk. Keep in mind that you'll only want to flash the Kernel and the ROM, but you'll want to leave everything else alone (bootloaders and recovery for example).
If by "firmware from...", you mean the odin/kies firmware package, then these typically include the whole shebang. These will probably have bootloaders, recovery, and every partition included. I don't recommend using these unless you know how to dissect them and remove the bad parts.

Read my first response, only ROMS from the international S5 forum on XDA. DO NOT flash firmware for a different model from SamMobile.
I tried to flash the last firmware from G900F and got fail on ODIN. The thing is, if I use Mobile Odin I'll be able to flash only parts of the firmware. I mean, in order to change only the android, not anything else like bootloader or things that can brick the phone..., which options should I check on Mobile Odin? Kernel, Recovery, System, Cache, Modem, Modem #2, Hidden?
Thanks in advance

If you look in the S5 (G900F) threads you will find many, many ROMs. Most of them will work on the G900T. You need to do a lot of reading about ROMs and how to install them. I like Omega ROM and use it on my G900T on AT&T's network.
It's all about research. You will need to read a lot so you understand what you can and cannot do with your device.

No problem, but to warn you, Omega is a touchwiz ROM. I'm sure that's part of the reason why it's so dependable. I started off with straight android but I've had a Samsung device since the S2 so I'm used to and enjoy touchwiz.
How about the opposite direction? G900T ROM to G900F?
So, I'm in Saudi Arabia and there's a opportunity to buy a G900F. I'm a Tmo customer and would like to flash a G900T rom so I can enable wifi calling. I actually use it quite extensively since I'm abroad.
Any chance that is possible without complications?
I think I saw another thread where someone did this, but had problems with the GPS.
Sorry for bumping this, I've been searching about this but didn't find the specific answer.
Can I install G900FXXU1CPD2 (which is for G900F) into a G900T, just using Odin? I have been reading and I've seen in many places that a lot of roms for the F version would work on the T version, as long as they're unbranded and have nothing specific on them. This one is supposed to be unbranded (Netherlands) without any kind of bloatware or apps from any mobile provider.
What do I need to do in order to flash it and make it work?
My G900T has the last Marshmallow version, and it's 100% T-Mobile stock, no root or anything.
Thank you in advance guys.

[MODEMS][ODIN] Modem Repository - Download Them All Here! (SM-G900P)

It seems like I do this for every device I own so I might as well do it here on the S5 as well.
Here you can find every modem currently in existence for the Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P). We will add more as new builds are released.
Modems control every aspect of communication on your phone. Having the correct modem can influence your data speeds, your phone call quality and more. Different people report better results with one modem or another but there seems to be no rhyme or reason. I recommend flashing them until you find one that works well for you.
Currently the modems available are only available in One-Click or TAR formats. But I have it on good authority that our best and brightest devs are working on a way to flash them in a ZIP...
Each of these modem flashers include both the modem.bin and the NON-HLOS.bin. This ensures that you're running the same build version for both 3G, LTE/4G and Wi-Fi connections and helps prevent connection issues.
As a general reminder, I cannot and will not be held responsible for any issues that arise from improper flashing of these modems.
The modems are listed in the order of most recent to the oldest released.
Please do not post direct links to the modems on the site. All modems are available through the links on this post. Thank you!

It looks like Sammobile is having problems right now so I cant look but it could have been an incremental security patch that will never see a full Tar release.
Meaning the only way to get it is to flash prior full tar and take the OTA update.
This doesn't mean there never will be one available. Sammobile is notoriously slow on posting firmware.

Need i527m testers for 4.4.2 TW ROM base

Hey guys so basically the thread title says it all. I need a few testers who have the Canadian variant sgh-i527m who can test a rom base for me. What I need is confirmation that everything works on the base ie Bluetooth, data, WiFi, NFC,etc. Once deemed a stable base I can work on making the magic happen of adding cool features.
Of course the standard risks apply: you are responsible for anything you flash or that happens as a result. As always please make a nandroid backup before flashing and ensure you are using the latest, stable recovery
At this point the ROM is rooted, deodexed, zipaligned all apks and Knox free

Hello,
I'm testing it on a i9205....
I installed it over a 4.2.2 bootloader as I never installed KK. So it looks like KK is installing over 4.2.2 Mega fire bootloader
.
I'm finishing up to setup all my account and let you know. So far its working well, the first run Wizard even detect my country "France", it did not before in 4.2.
I ll keep you posted but so far looking good.
Thanks
see screenshot attached
Just a small adjustement, on the i9205 the wifi is not turning on... I dont know why, a driver issue maybe. I will try replace wifi firmware and modules if I can.
Also when I go to ->Setting->security it says setting has stopped. then the phone is rebooting

Sorry I cant, I had to go back to Mega Fire rom as I had no Wifi and cannot install Titanium to restore everything (As I cannot access security options) I had to revert to 4.2.2.
I also tried to modified your zip with a i9205 boot.img and all the System files into your zip from another 4.4.2 i9205, and I had the same issue. I'm starting to wonder if I dont have a radio issue compatibilty or my bootloader 4.2 is messing with some feature (like android finding knox is not on the bootloader). If you have any idea, I dont mind trying again but so far I would like to preserve my bootloader as my phone still under warranty.

I ve tried another rom 4.4.2 as a zip file and same issues. I revert it back to MF V11X and it works as normal.
I'm wondering if those issues are related to the bootloader (like for Param-Security) phone is looking for knox info and cannot find them.
reply:
Anyway for now my bootloader still in 4.2
I never checked wifi (I barely use wifi as is) System settings kept force closing on me and the ROM overall was a bit laggy (compared to MegaFire - probably not a fair comparison though - lol). My phone did keep rebooting every time I went into certain system settings to make changes (I don't remember which ones at this point). To be honest, I was just trying to see if I could flash it onto my phone. I had no intent to fully test the ROM for stability. Mega's ROMs are rock steady stable so I was just trying that 4.4.2 ROM while waiting for Mega to finish and post MegaKat.

How did you do after all? I have the same phone as you and I fail to install custom recovery TWRP from linux CLI with heimdall, can you share your experience? Thank you in advance.
Never mind, I could do it: Odin 3.10.7 can flash Samsung's Android 5 ROM

New Firmware G900TUVS1FOL1

I got an OTA notification this morning to install G900TUVS1FOL1. Went ahead an applied the OTA update and everything seems to be running much better than before. A lot of the lag that I was seeing before is now gone. No word on battery life as I only had the update installed for about 12 hours. Figured I would let people know that there is a new update available. Haven't seen much information posted about it.
I am unrooted BTW, so I can't really answer any questions about that.

I've had no lag or any of the problems that I normally run into on stock roms.
I'm rooted on stock 4.4.2. What's the best way to take this one (do I need to get up to a 5.0.x first, etc.), and preserve root?

Could you verify bootloader version? I updated mine but bootloader stays at FOJ4 while everything else is FOL1.

How were you able to root?
of coarse. flash twrp in odin, then download supersu2.66 and flash that. Rooted. It's very simple
how I managed to make the root?

hello have a galaxy s5 T-Mobile sm-g900t like that if it were possible postasse how he rootear your most detailed device if the model is the same as mine, have android 5.1.1 g900TUVS1FOL1 from already thank excuse my English'm from Brazil.
Hey gang!
I have the metropcs variant (G900t1) of the Galaxy s5. I downloaded the .tar file. I wiped my phone first (twice for good measure) and rebooted to download mode via TWRP. I *did* uncheck the auto reboot box because I hears odin acts funny around OTA's. After the reboot was done, my phone got stuck on he splash screen for a while. I popped out my battery.
for the record, not a noob but leery about regaining root using cf autoroot.
XDA, check me on this. I want to do this right. =)
I updated via Kies earlier this afternoon. So far it's very snappy.
