Not 100% sure, but if you are rooted, do you have a backup from before the update was downloaded?
If so, just restore that and you should be OK.
if not, then someone else needs to HELP not complain, this is a legitmate question.
ps, always i recomend link2sd.....see the app on the market and follow the instructions, all apps (including widgets) can be stored there so no more issue with internal memory

Anything with a name like fw?
Why not backup your apps factory reset then restore, that will get the space back I couldn't find the file when this happened to me either, but when i clicked to install it downloaded again so it may not be on the phone and your just low on space in which case link2sd is the better option, although if your on pure stock you could root and use systemcleanup that can recover a fair bit of space

hmmmz never thought of L2sd (might give a try)
well modified stock (some bloatW removed n stuff like that)
lemme post a pic of the zips i found
https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/shared/screenshot_2012-04-26_1605.png?w=0519df3b
ok done formatting sd card (2nd partition) but either im stupid or L2sd doesnt move stuff
Why don't you just update your phone to .62 firmware? Don't worry you'll not loose your ROOT, any application or personal data

did you grant su access and did you partition your sd card? or your kernel did not support sd ext.

I wish your file had the bloatware because I need SlackerRadio from the Xmas leak in order to load into my system\app folder to get the rest of the OTA update that was just released.

Use option #1 on this: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...-razr-maxx-only/page__pid__104361#entry104361
That will take you back to 100% Stock with all the original bloatware. Then you can install the update
Would some kind fellow please provide me with a system dump of the XTS please?

Could do with the system/media boot animation and system/app, please! lol
I am pretty desperate for the Gallery2.apk, build and vendor.props aswell as all system apps.
Would really appreciated someone with an Xperia Tablet S to send these over.

* Download correct OTA update for your region (it's ecnrypted), you will find links from this thread from third post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687429
* Then download decrypt tool from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068261
* Then decrypt OTA file:
desklunvr.exe signed-txs03_300-ota-130329014.zip
* Then unzip it of course. You should find what you seek for from there! system.img is system partition, you can mount it under Linux etc. or using some Windows tool like DiskInternals Linux Reader. Vendor parition is just files, you will find them from vendor folder.
HTH
I pulled the bootanimation.zip, but not the system/apps because the file size is too big
If you haven't got the system/apps by tomorrow morning, I'll probably just pull it from my tab and upload it in the morning during off-peak time xD
XTS - system/app
here can load the files from system/app from 4.1.1
just a little patience - it takes a little are uploaded to the data
I've solved the apps from the original ... I had shot up the Launcher2.apk myself - I might as well upload all - what I thought ...

The extra benefits of this is of cause the ability to remove system apps by third party apps, getting xposed framework, using root apps, scripts and so on. So all in all, if that's an interest to you. Go get it. If you don't plan on using any of this, no reason to root it then

With root you could make android apps to store on external SD, this feature is blocked by default

No, it isn't blocked

Jailbreaking an iDevice and rooting an Android device are not the same. iOS doesn't let you do anything. Everything is locked by os. But android has much more freedom. you can do a lot of things without root which you can only do by jailbreaking an iDevice. So first learn if you can do whats on your mind with a non-rooted phone. If you learn that you can't than root your phone.
And my advice is to learn android environment first before going further like root. Always better to go step by step. And that way you will yourself know if you really need root or not. Diving is an option too like me but thats takes patience and other things. You can cause serious problems to your phone because of a rookie mistake ( but i never did But of course i didn't do everything, and perhaps an angeloid was watching over me :victory:

Only system apps can write to any directory on the SD.
Normal apps can only write to their specific directory in Android/data/

@up, but having root it it's possible to run f.ex. SDFix application to make changes to system which allows any app to write in every directory of external SD card by every application on kitkat

True, but it is still possible to write to the SD without root, you just have to use the built-in file manager.
(This was my point before)

I don't clean flash daily, I clran flash once a 3 days or if lots of commits in next ROM, I Use Titanium Backup PRO for backup and 1 click Restore Of Apps and Data(need Pro version otherwise u hv to restore every backup manually), and Link2SD for Save Space and get rid of the hassle of moving all Apps to SD Card every time,
