hey all my father is actually in japan and he dropped me a call saying i have found a brand new samsung galaxy tab in its box never opened and is asking 150$ CAD so my question is ? will it Work Here In Canada? I Don't Care If The 3g Connection Works Or Not But Will Wifi Work ? Or There Is 2 version Of It Like one 3g and the other one wifi?

I have a galaxy s3 on sprint network I have version 4.1.2 and my phone is not rooted I need to set my phone as a hotspot so I can use my ps3 online.... is that possible, has anyone done It? I'm new so the lingo I'm not too familiar with any help please and thanks

Use wifi hotshot & usb tether from developer 'erda team.' It's in the Play Store, it's free and just works. I use in on my vzw Galaxy S3. I tether my laptop to my S3 to take advantage of 4G speed.
I also used it to link my unlocked Galaxy y to my locked S3 when I was traveling. This allowed me to buy cheap foreign sim cards, plug them into the (cheap) young then access the Internet from my S3. More help if you need it.

Should work. Once you install it turn it on. It will give you a pin for you to enter into your ps3 to pair the devices.
Then from your ps3 do a wifi search to find your phone (you can also rename your phone to make it easier to locate, ie I use 'Johnnys S3.' Once found, enter the pin you were given. Now you are paired. You also have to authorize the ps3 from your phone. Set your phone as the default wifi on your ps3 so that you don't have to enter a pin each time. In the future, you will only need to turn on the phone app to pair the devices.

Ok thanks I see a wifi hotspot and usb tether in the play store but the developer on one is innodroapps and the other is SVTP. Will either of those work?

Hi. I've heard rumors about pairing the galaxy gear with other devices then the newer 4.3 droid devices. In my case I want to pair it with my phone( the RAZR XT-912). I have downloaded the gear manager on the device and tried to pair it manually(I could not find NFC) I am also running Cynogenmod 10.1.2-RC2-spyder. When I attempt to connect to my device it will rather get stuck on a Waiting screen or I wont be able to connect via bluetooth. Please help me I don't want 300$ go to waste I broke my GS4 and this is my new replacement phone.

But I don't want a data plan on it, I want it connected to my phone just like a Gear 2 or Android Wear watch via Bluetooth.
Can I just do that and have the messages and phone calls forwarded to the watch?

Yep. Works perfectly well without a SIM card.

like stated by vasko, I also went with att since ti was the lowest and 99.5% it is connected via bt to my sprint note2, so there was no need to buy the other gear s which are more expensive. I just recent got a h2o sim which work off att network just for emergencies when I am out of sprint range I have att coverage which we all know is much much better then sprint.... :laugh:
I bought a Sprint s6 edge plus 3 moths ago and rooted it so that I could run Easy Wifi Tether Router. I am a truck driver and love the free wifi. Now though I just bought the Oculus Gear VR and had to unroot my phone for it to work without lagging had. Is there a kernel that works with Odin on my Sprint phone to fix this? Again I am but a dumb and lowly truck driver. Please speak as if I am a child. Thank you in advance!
