I'm still getting massive amounts of unusable lag after having been on FOG6 for a while.
I don't think there have been any updates from TMO on this, has there?
Other people say their most recent Lollipop phones are running fine, even older ones with limited RAM, so it looks like Google has definitively fixed it with their most recent Lollipop?
Does the G500T have it yet?

Team Carbon has Been Upto the Work of Porting Android 4.3,
Although i'm awaiting confirmation for our RAZRs ...
Hi,
Some days ago, it was no developer maintainer for UMTS_SPYDER.
I am monitoring situation on below thread. @Para94 and @snives are trying to build Spyder again.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2328826&page=16
Hope it will be ok.
That will be an all new version of Carbon. Getting the current back up won't make the 4.3 based available.

Avatar rom 3.0.2 7/26 nightly with new jbx kernel stable for me 9000 + scores on antutu.
Does it really matter? Almost no change from 4.2 to 4.3 . enjoy the stability and performance of 4.2 for now...... Later I'm pretty sure we'll get android 5.0

I'm interested in TRIM support.
Sent from my XT912 using xda premium
Well, 4.3 is in progress. The main problem is that 4.3 includes some newer security updates - there aren't much UI related changes though, most of it is security stuff which affects the kernel in the first way. The problem we have is the current kexec kernel loading method which gives devtree errors during startup, and that causes only a black screen.
Kexec will get a workaround as Hashcode said. This may also include a higher kernel sublevel. Stay tuned and be patient...

The looks might be the same but under the hood there is hell of a change - trim support for once which makes my N7 fly like never before! It is really noticable...
On the other it may not work on razrs. We will see! But it is a bigger step (in performance) than between 4.1 and 4.2.

I dont know if LG is going to release 4.3. I think LG is just going to wait until 4.4 before providing an update. I just dont trust LG yet to provide multiple software updates because they havent built that reputation.

My amazement is the fact that you are asking to speculate on a release date for our phone, when the Version hasn't even launched yet. That's like asking the exact release date of a phone that hasn't been announced yet

I'd think that would be the smart choice for them, especially considering that the g2 is the basis for the nexus 5. I'd imagine they're developing both in parallel.

If you have been using Android for a long time now, this comes to me as no surprise. When was the last time any major version of Android just stayed the same at launch. Froyo had 2.2 to 2.2.3, Gingerbread had 2.3 to 2.3.7, Ice Cream Sandwich had 4.0 to 4.0.4, Jelly Bean had 4.1 to 4.1.2, 4.2 to 4.2.2, 4.3 to 4.3.1 and now KitKat has 4.4 to 4.4.2.
I mean are you seriously surprised now that Google has been having subpatches after its announcement. This is why I don't get why people who have non-Nexus phones (carrier phones) are clamoring about wanting Android 4.4 a week after launch. I knew Google would have subpatches and I want those subpatches as part of the LG G2 baseline update to KitKat. I DO NOT want 4.4 at this point. I want 4.4.2 or how ever many subpatches it takes before LG releases it.
Certainly carriers and LG can and have been doing their internal testing of the 4.4 ROM along the way and sync up to the latest baseline as new updates come out especially minor ones like 4.4.2 that can be synced up easily. Android 4.2.2 has been working fine for me so far and I want to make sure Google has their sh1t together with their bug fixes so that OEMs can release a solid Android 4.4 update.

I would be more pissed if they were NOT on 4.4.2. Because that would mean that they are not fixing anything, just letting it go. If I wanted that, I would have gone with an iPhone or a windows phone. I would rather they be on 4.4.9 then on 4.4 now. They could easily leave any minor problems and say that those would not be an issue when 4.5 comes out, so don't worry about it.

4.4.4 slow
5.0 slow
5.1 should be fast
What are the odds. I'd say it's a dead cert. I'd say the z2 will also be updated to the android version that launches with the new nexus in October too.
Z2 has a way to go before support ends.
Z will end on 5.0.2, Z1 may get 5.1 but that's in the lap of the gods!

I honestly think all the Z series will be updated to 5.1 but if nexus 4 won't see the next version most likely Z won't receive the update but whole Z1 to Z3 will receive it.

It's kinda hard to develop on stock roms because they are already so optimised and adding something will break another so I guess developers wanted to develop on a more open platform like CM or AOSP versus stock.
Understandable but cm and aosp to me are all the same... Same bugs same services the only good thing os for theming but even there they are similar... I kinda like the sony stock rom.. Wouldnt mind a debloated 5.0.2 with custom kernel support!! I guess a fella can still have hopes!!

Fully agreed, that I wish for!
Oh man still no updates?? i am very dependent on when this Lollipop ROM update will be sent. I just can't test my apps on Lollipop because of this!
I wish they did not release 5.0.1/2 and went for 5.1 instead. I've heard really lots of complaints about 5.0 and i am kinda worried.
I'm afraid we'll get a really late, half-assed rom update that introduces new issues without fixing the older ones, which they had plenty of time to fix... and after that it's gonna be "well, you got your 5.0 update, that's enough updates for a two year old phone... all the way from jelly-bean! wow... we're so good, updating the phone all the way from jelly bean to lollipop. So, there won't be another update. get a new phone."
