This is my first post, so hy guys...... (i hope ive posted it on the wright location)
when i'm pressing the Turn on button it comes only the green "HTC" logo in the middle Without the system information in the left bottom i've to be onest im getting scared cause ive tried a lot of hard reset and nothing happens....
another problem is that i cant connect it at the pc because the connection by usb dont work.....what can i do?????
you're device is stuck just before flashing a rom (that happens when you perform task29 for instance)
Quote: "If you get a white screen with "hTC" in the middle then you need to take out your battery and enter bootloader mode manually before continuing (take battery out and put it back in, then hold the volume down button and briefly press the power button. Keep holding the volume down button until the bootloader screen appears)"
after that you can flash your device with any rom
Good Luck
get into bootloader mode and then flash a newer radio ROM. solved the problem for me.
p.s. read thoroughly about the correct radio for ur phone before flashing one

Hi all,
after successfully unlocking the bootloader and flashing CyanogenMod 10.1.0 RC2 boot.img via fastboot from Linux, I couldn't manage to boot the tablet again.
I tried several things (Emma, Flashtool, etc.) in order to relock the bootloader and/or flash a stock ROM, but I only could put the device into fastboot mode.
Things are getting possibly worse now: the red notification light is still, I can't neither reboot (pressing Power+VolumeUp for 5 seconds) nor halt (Power+VolumeUp for 10 seconds)...
What a mess! Anyone can suggest me how to fix this situation, please?
Alberto
This is why u shouldn't mess with your tablet.just use it as it came, not worth the hassle

This answer is about as helpful as a heart attack lol
I can assure you that even us dev's run into issues like this, I soft bricked my new tab 5 times today (still trying to figure out this recovery/no recovery thing sony is doing lol).
Aberto, I had/did the exact thing today, first off I'm guessing you have a wifi only like I do right? Those roms/boot imgs won;t work it seems, Im learning as fast as I can so I can get a port for Baked for this tab, I own the wifi only so its my first priority.
Here's what I did, took allot of patience, so be prepared to try a bunch of times!
1. Unplug the usb cable
2. hold both vol + and - (I know this is not documented but stick with me here), then press and hold the power button until the led flashed "white" "3 times" (u will see one white flash, then after about another 20 seconds a second set of white flashes will begin, it will blink 3 times)
3. Plug in the usb cable
4. Make sure you have emma/drivers setup, since this is a windows only (boo!) tool you should here the usb device plug notifiction that it detected the "S1 Service Sony Mobile Communications AB"
This only lasts about 1 minute before it will go back to red led, launch emma and restore a stock image from sony, after its done, unplug the device, and hold power, it should come back to life!
Thanks nycbjr, I tried this morning before getting to work and I could "unlock" the red notification light.
This evening I'll try to get further in the process of resuscitating my tablet.
Thanks for the tips!

Glad I found this topic, but so far I can't get it to work.
Situation is the same I guess, red light, tried to flash the wrong img to my wifi only modell.
When I press all 3 buttons at the same time, the first white blink shows up after about 5secs, then there is a 3 blink sequence also in white after another 3-5secs. If I plugin the usb cable still holding down the buttons, no usb device is recognized, nothing happens..
If I keep holding down the buttons a 3 white blink sequence shows up again, followed by a white/red quick blink, then after 5 secs another 3 white blink sequence starts again, followed by a white7red combo et cetera. As soon as I release the buttons it turns to a constant red again.
Any more ideas or should I just keep trying?

Normally it is the follows:
Hold Vol+ and Power.
1x blink = Reboot (doesn't help you in this case)
after holding it longer
3x blink = Shut down (device is switched off and in a defined state)
Drink a beer
open flash-tool and prepare the firmware to flash
Hold Vol- and plug the device to the computer
If the led turns green the firmware will flash
If not check what the flash-tool says in which state the device is
If the led turns red maybe the battery is to empty?!?
I don't know about the red led, but thanks for the hint.
Pressing only vol down when pluggin in the usb seems to have changed something. I tried power+vol down before but that didn't help.
Now flashtool seems to be working, it says it's flashing, but it seems to take ages. I'll let it keep on working for now (running since 10mins, but after "checking header" and "flashing data" there is no progress anymore...yet). I'll report back
I canceled it after 2h with no progress...damnit.
Does anyone have another suggestion?

Hi, try flashing again with Emma but use a different USB cable i had a similar issue where the flash started then seemed to freeze so tried a different cable and it worked.
Edit: lol seems i missed your post where you tried again with Emma -_- glad you got it sorted though

you need a big kiss from someone thanks a million :good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
This worked for me, albeit after trying the first part (holding VOL+, VOL- & POWER) intermittently for 2 days.
What seemed to get the table/battery to reset was I connected the USB cable to the charger on a wall outlet on the second day. When I plugged in the cable the Red LED came on and stayed there. After an hour it was still red so I removed the cable and tried 1) pressing VOL+ & POWER (about 3 seconds), then 2) VOL- & POWER (about 3 seconds) and after a while the red LED went off.
Then I tried the VOL+, VOL- & POWER and it started blinking white once, then white again after a while, and I was able to continue with the instructions.
Thanks!
I tried unlocking the bootloader and flashing cyanogenmod but must have done something wrong, as now it doesn't boot up whatsoever. I can put it in fastboot mode but nothing beyond that from what I can see. Light turns red when charging and if I hold power and volume up the light blinks, then blinks 3 times after a few more seconds - that's about it. Can't get into recovery mode either.
Is there any way to fix this?

Holding the power button and the volume + for a while will blink once(it will boot), and holding them both for a little longer will blink 3 times( turned off).
I suggest. You download the firmware for your tabZ and flash it using flash tool..
Make sure your tablet blinked 3 times before entering flashmode(that is power and volume -)..

Oh my god that actually worked! I didn't know of flashmode, only fastboot. It's back to factory settings it seems but I can easily work with this!
So I don't end up making another topic, what would be the best way to root it? Pretty wary of messing with it after that little scare
Here's the firmware I used if it matters

A collegue thought it would be interesting to see what the wipe data command on Exchange would do to my phone.
It appears to have bricked it.
The phone boots, shows the THL logo for a few seconds then shows a dark grey screen.
Is this phone recoverable.
I am a complete noob, first post, so if it is recoverable I'm going to need real step by step basic instructions.
Hope there is somebody who can help.
Thanks.

It happened to me too, exactly the same steps and now it is the same thing: logo and after that a black screen. Please, any solution? My wife is gonna kill me (it is her phone):silly:
A hard reset could save your life..
Press and hold the volume (-) button and then press the power button for about 3 seconds, release the volume (-) button when the screen comes and wait for repair menu. It's written in Chinese. Go to the part which is writing MMC at the end with the volume (-) button and press the power button. You are now in the hard reset menu, press the power button again and wait until the phone opens. That's all. You will lose all your programs which you installed before if you didn't back up before but the phone will work. I saved my W200S yesterday with same solution.
Thanks for your advice. I noticed the Chinese menu but I avoided it every time being afraid of not ruining something . Anyway, these days I've found out how to flash new ROMs so I am fooling around with trying different ROMs, I got allowance from my wife for this ). I am trying to fix an issue of the stock ROM, the proximity sensor doesn't light up the display when taking away from ear. The phone was not rooted so any attempt to enter engineering mode failed. Yesterday I discovered a MIUI ROM which looks very stylish and it solved the proximity sensor and even added the notification LED option (this was not included in the stock ROM). Now I have to test the battery life.

Hi, I solved all the issues of my THLW200S (lack of notification LED and improperly functioning of the proximity sensor) by flashing this ROM. I tried a few other ROM's but this one works flawlessly.

Hello guys,
I've got a big problem with my I9300 and therefore I would like to ask here for any help. (If I'm in the wrong section, please move the thread to a correct one)
I had installed the Resurrection Remix ROM, v5.2.6. from 30.12.2014 and Googy-Max 2 recovery (CWM based) on my phone. I was using it for days and all worked fine.
One day I turned the phone off and I wanted to restart it. But it never restarted again; it ends up in a boot loop. It shows me the white Samsung Boot-Logo for some seconds, then a total black screen and the same thing repeats in a loop.
So I wanted to get into the recovery for wiping etc. but I couldn’t access the recovery. Nothing happens by pressing the relevant buttons. The device is still hanging in the boot loop. So I wanted to flash via Odin, but this isn't possible. I also can't go into the download mode. After pressing the relevant buttons, the green warning screen appears, which asks me if I really want to go to the download mode. But when I press volume up for "continue" or even if I don't press anything, the phone turns off and the boot loop with the white Samsung Logo starts again.
Therefore I ordered a USB JIG for forcing the device to go into download mode. When I plug the USB JIG in, the device actually goes into download mode but this status holds on only for a few seconds. After accessing download mode through the JIG, after a few seconds the phone turns off, restarts, (and because the JIG is still plugged in) the download mode appears again and it ends in a loop.
At first I thought maybe the power button is sticking and therefore the device turns on and off autonomous. But definitively I can negate it, because I opened the phone and removed the power button and nothing changed. Also by pressing the power button on the mainboard I can clearly hear the "click".
So I started a new attempt. Although the time, in which the device stays in download mode before turning off, is very short (only a few seconds), I tried flashing an other recovery, namely TWRP v2.8.3.0. So I prepared ODIN, plugged the JIG into the device, by appearing the download mode I switched cables and an other person clicked start at ODIN and it worked. So now TWRP is installed. Now I also can't get into recovery but after flashing TWRP there exist two little differences. First, after pressing the relevant buttons, TWRP appears for less than 1 second until the phone turns off. Secondly, when I plug the device in for charging, the Samsung charging logo appears for some seconds, then for less than 1 second appears a charging logo from Lollipop and the device ends up in a loop by displaying alternately the two different charging logos. Before flashing TWRP, the device booted in a boot loop (as I wrote above) by plugging it in for charging.
So the main question: how can I get my device work again
I tried telling you all details so that you have a better view of the problem.
Maybe I should flash a fully (stock) rom, but as I told you the download mode appears only for a few seconds. Flashing a recovery was possible, because the recovery file is very small - 7 MB. A full rom is much bigger and I think by flashing a complete rom, the device would turn off while Odin is flashing, therefore I ask first here for any assistance.
Thank you very much in advance!

Check and make sure that your volume buttons and home button are not stuck also. If they are not, I would suggest a visit to a repair shop as your EMMC chip might be weak already.

Your power button is failing, stuck in 'pressed' position. Try pressing repeatedly power button for several seconds, then release it completely. It shall bring it back to life. Visit your local service, or prepare tin, heat gun and soldering pistol. One button cost $0.2, they are selling them on eBay in sets of three (and 10, and 100....).
Happened to me some time ago, and video on youtube helped me to dismantle my phone, pull broken button out of it, and change it for new.
My phone was cycling like yours.

As said your emmc chip maybe failing.
The dead boot thread maybe of interest to you.

He said he has tested this and can also hear the micro-switch clicking.

Check and make sure that your volume buttons and home button are not stuck also. If they are not, I would suggest a visit to a repair shop as your EMMC chip might be weak already.

Thank you very much for helping! :good:
So the question is, whether it's the power button's or emmc's fault...
I did a little searching and found this video. I've got exactly the same problem like the guy. At 1:06 following the boot loop, at 1:34 following the problem with downlod mode.
Although he thinks it's caused to the sudden death problem, but at least in my case I think it's wrong because months ago I did the eMMC Brickbug Check.
Also I noticed a probably important detail. When I put the battery in the phone, it automatically turns on without pressing the power button like in 1:04-1:09 in the video. Which normal working phone turns itself on by simply putting in the battery...?
So it must get a command for turning on - (possibly through a defect power button?)
@Virnik0, do you remember, if you could hear the micro-switch clicking on your phone before replacing the button on the mainboard?

Your power button is faulty, replace it before you try fixing anything else.
Thank you very, very much for helping! :good: :good: :good:
Truly the power button was fault although you could hear clearly the "click".
I unsoldered and removed the power module and (by startig with JIG and rebooting via ADB) the phone works as it should. :victory:
Now I'm trying to solder a new power button......it's a bit tricky
Again, thank you very much guys!
I had the same problem, pressed the button many times, and it helped. Thank you for your suggestions
