I have a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua that I've forgotten the pattern lock for and need to factory reset, however I cannot find any way to do this... Volume UP + Power does not boot into recovery mode, and from what i've read some of the M4's dont have recovery mode.... so how the hell do I reset this damn phone?!
Try using the FlashTool, or "fix" your device by Sony PC Companion

How to I enter recovery mode in Sony Xperia Sola (vanilla firmware).
All the combinations (of buttons to press during boot) I found didn't worked. Is the recovery mode disabled?

The combinations your talking about are found in custom CWM. In stock ICS you cant do that, just do a factory reset and it will fresh the phone.

First of all is u on stock firmware(vanilla never herd of it ) if yes then there is no way u can directly boot into recocery cause Sony don't have pre installed recovery like Samsung...
If on custom rom with CWM Installed then follow the procedure told in the thread of the from ur using
Default Key Combination: Boot phone and hold volume + key when Sony logo pops and phone vibrates..
if not then follow my post for locked bootloaders over here

Hit Thanks If I Helped!!
You need to first flash a kernel with CWM if you want to get into some sort of recovery.
If you wish to stick to vanilla, then it's easiest to backup your apps and perform a factory reset. When the rom first came out, that's one way to remove the lag.

I tried PC Campanion and factory reset but PCC denied access when screen is locked.
I tried boot recovery using fastboot but this Xperia Tab has disable usb debuging.
is any possibility to recover this tab?
Use Flashtool and any firmware you want to use, and factory reset it using that.

Hi guys!
I wanted to install a custom rom to my Sony Xperia SP (C5303) phone. I rooted it with KingRoot and wanted to boot into fastboot with the help of Quick Boot (Reboot) apk from the play store.
I pressed Bootloader button on the app, and since then my phone is in bootloop. If I hold the power button down, nothing happens, not even vibration. I can't remove battery (isn't removable) and can't turn it off. How can I fix this? I didn't even unlocked the bootloader.
Thanks for your answers in advance.
Hi I cant unlock my phone as I forgot password, Ive already tried hard reset but for some reason key combination(volume up/down+ power key) is not working (no respond for my phone) tried Xperia companion also not working /find my device is off so cant use it either .Are there any other options to unlock my device/ do factory reset?
You can power down your phone just by holding the power key (Android 11), no need for the phone to be unlocked. After that plug it in the PC (shut down), open the Xperia Companion app and it should work to reflash an original ROM.
If this does not work maybe you have some HW fault or some non-stock stuff installed on it which changes the way the phone behaves. If that is the case give us some more details and we shall see how we can help you.
L.E. - Apparently the whole procedure was changed since I last used it on Android 9 - It used to work to plug the phone off in Xperia Companion and just repair the phone, but now it just says that the phone is locked and ofc you need to unlock the phone.
Send it to a repair shop, they should be able to fix/flash a new rom.
Guys please help I forgot my Sony Xperia M4 Pattern and I can't get back into my phone and to make matters worse whenever in try booting into recovery by holding volume+ and power button together it gives series of vibrations and still won't boot up.
Anyone who got an idea on how to hard reset?
