Anyone having a dark notification drawer? - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

Since I updated to cm-12.1-20151005-NIGHTLY all my notifications are very dark and hard to read. I had this happen on a nightly last week or so and reverted to my backup, but hopefully one of you have a solution to this?

You should post in the CM thread.

Is this not the help and troubleshooting section for the
Ascend Mate 2?

This problem seems specific to the HAM2 CM12.1 thread. Seems like you'd get more coverage there vs at this more generic level, but I'm new here and possibly wrong.

[Q] Android 4.3 w/ TRIM support

Please forgive my ignorance in advance, I am very much a noob. I hope I am asking this in the right place.
It looks like Jelly Bean 4.3 will provide support for TRIM. Will this be a big deal for (continued) performance?
Is the TRIM support written into 4.3 code as a generic thing for all devices or will it be something that is hardware specific for each phone hardware? I guess my real question here is, will we have to wait on big red to release something with regard to G Note 2 (Verizon) for developers to have something to work with or will there likely be a port from another device?
Can anyone suggest a 4.3 ROM that is out for G Note 2 Verizon? Or maybe a good one that is in the works?
Thanks to all of the developers on this site, your work is appreciated by someone who tries a new ROM every week!!!
CWM already has an unofficial build out.

I'm down with 4.3 providing me with trim. No more cruising the bars.
The TRIM support is only for Nexus devices. I have read that in every major article about 4.3.

The articles that ive read say it will be there for all devices and it will be left up to the OEMs to either enable or disable it.

Let me be the first to say welcome to the XDA forums. The information this community shares is phenomenal. You'll find answers to all your questions if you search through it. You can drop the "forgive my ignorance" tag because those were some good questions. I can now say I first heard of Android TRIM because of HBOMB-9000

Here is also an app that will perform trim for you. Trim is very important in all nand type storage but only has to be done about 1 a month or a week depending how much you write and delete from the device (very important for crack flashers ).

Reading the XDA thread on that app there's a known issue with some older devices. Do we know whether fstrim is safe on the GNote2?

Yes it is safe with the N2, I use it on my all the time. The older devices used a faulty chip that would brick the phone when certain things were done.

Non-Sprint Note 3 Touchwiz Lollipop 5.0!!!

First off, sorry if this has already been posted. If it has, moderator please delete. I did a quick look and didn't see it but may have missed it.
On to the good stuff, it seems like a few people have Touchwiz Lollipop 5.0 booting on a couple different Note 3 variants with the Snapdragon. I'm not a dev and don't really have the means to try this right now but here is the thread with all the info. Hopefully a dev or some brave soul can check this out on our Sprint devices and see what's up. I would love to have a nice custom Lollipop ROM before the new year! Good luck to any who try! I hope it works!

I have been successful booting and messing with 5.0 bit no mms sms or 3G/4g. Agreed, hope someone adds it to our site.
I flashed Echoe creation N3 Lollipop v21 (now v22 is released) from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495688
Things that do not work for me are:
1) WiFi does not work initially. A WiFi&Bluetooth fixed it though
2) screen mirroring still does not work with my Samsung smart tv. It was not working on 4.4.4 previously and I was hoping Lollipop can fix it, but no luck.
3) video taking still does not work.
4) Nextradio/fm is not working anymore. It was working on Stock 4.4.4 Rom.

Where did you get the Wifi/Bluetooth fix from? I didn't see it on Echoes site.
I found one via google from a Vietnamese website (there is also a Lollipop leak in Vietnamese, afaik). If you bump into this issue and can't find a fix there, I can upload it.

ZV9 RDF

http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS990-SPRINT/LS990ZV9.rdf
I looked a few days ago, and the latest was still ZV8 at http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS990-SPRINT/latest I just looked, and there is a ZV9 listed! Funny thing is they never updated the android version on either ZV8 or this new ZV9 so it still shows 4.4.2. The only thing other than the build number that i noticed different is DSSClientVersionSZ_5.4.01. That was version 5.2.00 on all previous builds.
This is the first sign of life from sprint for our phone in quite a while. ZV8's RDF posted pretty close to when it was actually released, but there was zv7 which never came out, as well as zv5. So, who knows. maybe they will wait for another even number build version, or maybe we get an update soon!
Nice find!:good:
Please keep us posted!
Keeping an eye out for this... wondering if it will block the current root methods and/or bump?
ZVA now... no other differences I can see....

Do you think that they are testing updates? Why is the build number changing? Also might this be android 5.1 or maybe even android M?

RDF's are generally test builds. Didn't the international g3 receive an update recently that was still 5.0.1? Generally we receive updates after the international version gets their update, and then Sprint tests them before sending them out. I highly doubt we would get a newer build than them.

Look at it this way.... It took LG like 7 months to announce 5.0.1 so if it is a new android version I think it might show up on the LG dev page (that way we can build it like we did with L). I'll tell you this much I will make sure to use the next update as a base in my ROM

Nexus's only received 5.0.1 in December, and we received it in February(about 2 and a half months later) Not very long of a wait if you compare it to Sprint/Samsung phones of the past. Sprint used to be notorious at having like 50 rdf's posted before releasing an update.

Sprints RDF's only show the android version, and the LG software number, which the current one is ZVA. The android version has not been updated at all since the first build, so it still shows 4.4.2 even though zv8 was 5.0.1

They haven't changed anything in the RDF's except those 2 things I mentioned in the first post since zv1, I think.
FYI, RDF's are much more legible on Internet Explorer. As much as i hate IE, it does make them easy to read. :-/

I think they are. I'm not sure what the information even pertains to, I know the phone has the rdf for the current version in either the build.prop or somewhere that looks for the software number, but not really sure what generates it or uses it.

CyanogenMod 12.1 for HAM 2 Issues.

SORRY FOR MAKING A SEPRATE POST I GUESS IM TOO NEW TO POST IN THE NIGHTLY POST!
Running latest nightly release 10/31 had issues for about two weeks though.
Running Xposed Modules SnapPrefs, YouTube adaway, instagram zoom, and background YouTube. I also have AdAway.
So mainly the issue are;
1. Video recording does not work in stock camera and snapchat also gives me a failed message.
2. When I unplug or plug in my charger I get a message saying Unfortunately, Google Play Services have stopped.
3. When I turn off my phone while charging and disconnect it the green led remained lit then has an infinite battery like if its being plugged in continuously. The way to fix the bootloop is to hold down the power and volume up and down continually until it reboots into the system or twrp and restart it.
You need 10 posts to post in a development area... just an XDA requirement.
Xposed is NOT supported in any custom ROM, it is intended for stock ROMs only, that doesn't mean it won't work, but it does mean developers will NOT troubleshoot or debug their code since Xposed makes changes in the system framework. I can tell you from personal experience, if you have Xposed installed your problem will not be looked at in a custom ROM.
Here is what you need to do:
1. Get 4 more posts
2. Do a clean flash with the recommended gapps and DO NOT install Xposed
3. Confirm the problems still exist
4. Get the needed logs, use the SysLog app if you don't know how to get them manually
5. Post it in the CM thread with the logs attached (do not paste the entire log into the post, attach the file or link to pastebin) showing the problem
Remember that nightly builds are not to be considered "stable" and are not intended for daily driver use without you knowing that there maybe problems... if you are going to use a nightly build, you need to be prepared that some things may not function properly and you should be prepared to try to help developers replicate and diagnose the problem.

Good job man. How many issues have you noticed?

unfortunately the process android.process.media has stopped......

I'm getting this error. I am not rooted. I have tried every fix I've seen on google. I even removed the SD card and the problem still persists. The SD card ins't even in the device and I still get the error. One thing I have noticed is my media storage does not have an option to disable. I'm running out of options and can't figure out how to get rid of this error. I am unable to download anything. from files form email, from dropbox, mega and I cannot download any update from the play store. I tried a factory reset and nothing. I know this problem may have something to do with download manager and media storage but I can't get anything to work running android 5.0 please help
I want to just get another one but I'm afraid this could be tied to my profile
Edit: come to find out, the problem is with android 5.0. There is an issue where the download manager and device storage apps aren't syncing up. And the fix is found in.......you guess it.........android 5.1, which this device has never gotten. I know there is a custom rom for android 5.1 floating around. Could anyone just point me in the direction of the custom rom and a guide on rooting this device? I used odin a long time ago when this device was on 4.4 but I'm sure it's different now on 5.0.

I was using that ROM for 6 months with no issues.
Only thing I didn't like was the stock sms app is messed up and you have to use textra. I even tried another sms app like signal and it also didn't work correct.
There is a similar build called Darklord Reborn by mid3vil. The post claims the stock sms app works. However, the link to the file is dead at the moment.
There is also a post called Lots of ROMs 7.1 by NMBNMB that seems promising. I started dabbling into a couple.
Hope this helps.

Looking these over, it seems like they are all for hlte and not hltespr... Sprint being a CDMA based system may not want to play nice. It seems like Resurection Remix had more luck in this , but even there the OP crossed out the Sprint variant working on this.
I hear Sprint may be merging/bought up soon and so perhaps there may be a change in the bandwidth that will be allowed for us users?
