i tryed everything and nothing seemed to work i got a 8525 im trying to flash a new rom i dont it 10 times or more on a 8125 first i put a new framework on my phone.. first i tryed 2.0 then tryed 3.5 but when i go and run the hard-spl-v7 its just saying "file or assembly name 'system version=2.0.0.0, culture=neutral, publickeytoken=b77a5c561934e089 or one of its dependencies, was not found ten i push quit then says the application failed to load required components if the .net compactframework is installed on a storage card pleaseensure is in place and launch the application again if tis fails a re installation of the net framework is recommended support info -2144783643 (80000005) and if i try to click on a rom all it says is te application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135) click on ok to terminate the application i tryed looking all over te forums and cant find nothing about it so plz help me
If you installed the .net framework to an SD card, re-install it to the Phone. These system files AREN'T to be installed anywhere but main memory...
You also need to install Hard SPL V7 on it too... This gives you a safety net if and when things go wrong with the flash, never gonna be 100% safe but better odds of recovery if Hard SPL V7 is installed...

After many tries here is it, my first beta for Android Eclair 2.1 for the Nike.
Work is still in progress and maybe out there there is someone who would like to help me in this project of porting a working version of android 2.1 to the nike.

- Data Problem fixed, some disconnects but it can be used without problems (I reccomend to reset the modem when you dont use the connection anymore)

####Install Instructions####
- Copy the andboot folder to the root of your SD
- Run Haret
- When haret is running hold the dpad middle button to enter the installation menu
- In the installation menu choose where to install (i use data and system on sd card partitions, its faster)
- Press Install System
- After the system is installed press quit and wait
The first boot is a little bit slow, there is no bootanimation in this built so dont worry if the screen turns black, just wait few minutes, after the first boot i recommend to reboot to speed up things.

Android uses your storage card. To go back to wimo you have restart you device.
When you want to update android: Download the files and over write the existing files.
Once installed Android, I can enter to Android, and Restart my device, I can go to my Windows mobile , So I want to Android again, How can I do? Need to install Andriod again????

I had a kernel panic during the haret booting. then said..."Rebooting in 3 seconds..." then it freezed. Help.

Do you use the zimage in my package? Try using another zimage, maybe the latest on the vogue project page works.
For the data connection i found that ppp is not invoked because i get an error that says that only root can run /bin/pppd, so maybe the data connection does not work becase pppd is not invoked, i will make some tries to check that.

Very good, i am working on the data problem, first of all pppd had permission problems so i fixed that, pppd is now called but it fail when it tries to create a pid file becase it says that the filesystems is read only... do you have icq or msn so we can se what we can do next?

i think this time is different: the installing procedure tells that the process is going to overwrite the rom..
the old android version used the storage card like a guest..not this one..

Dont choose to install it on the nand, choose sdcard partition or image files... Android will be installed on the sdcard and winmo remains on the nand.
You did a great job man, got it running on my HTC Nike, and it performs better than other android ports ( looking to speed and connectivity ). The only downsides at the moment, is that i can't activate XT9 dictionary while writing a message, and the camera functionality ( every port had this for as far I know, so can't blaim you ).
So my question to you is, do you know any way to enable (Dutch) XT9 on this rom? I got the device running on Dutch language now, but in the dictionary-settings, there are no known words, whatsoever. Since I don't know if there is any way to browse my storage card ( didn't see any explorer or anything ), i can't install it like a cab or anything.
Would be cool if i could get it running, would make it a wonderfull android port

Ok guys, big step foward, i am connected succesfully to the internet, but dns does not work, this means:
- If i open the browser and type www.google.com no page is displayed
- If i open the browser and type the ip-adress of www.googl.com, the page is displayed
so there is just a little dns problem, maybe tomorrow i am able to solve it, even the 3g icon on the top is not displayed...
why am I not able to install the os?
after the choice "install" the procedure starts formatting..
then, and after a lot, a message tells
"can't umount /data: invalid arguments" and goes back to initial choice list..
After installation process when you are back in the list choose fix permissions,then back In the list choose quit than wait...after a few minutes Android. Should start

i get it more and more, unexplainably.
It happens on APK files i have used before, in the same rom.. i am going mad !
for example, i am using a cubot gt99 (mtk device) with a custom rom - samsung lava s4 ported-
there is 1 problem with the custom rom that i know of, i cannot run a recent youtube version, i need a version 4.x.x
so i emailed that apk to myself to be able to download it ( i am fiddling with the device a lot to "play" with android, so i need to reinstall my rom every now and then, hey i am no expert )
this apk file has worked around 2 weeks ago, when i try the same file now, there is a problem parsing the package ?!?!?

I'm finishing cooking my first rom, the rom is for an Android TV Box, my only problem so far is that I can not make Google Play Store work correctly ...
The rom is not with root access, what I did is the following:
1). Unpack system.img
2). Copy the files of "open_gapps-arm-4.4-pico-20180307" to the corresponding addresses
3). Repack system.img
4). Flashing my TV Box
With all these steps I managed to install Google Play Store without getting errors indicating that the application was stopped ... The problem now is that every time I try to install an application it throws an "error code -2", indicating that it can not be install the application ... What could be the problem?
My TV Box has an Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and its chip is a Mediatek.
I hope someone can guide me!

I was trying to install certain application, but I couldn't because of my android version, so then I rooted my device and I edited configuration file (system/build.prop) with system variables such as API version, android version, name of device etc. First I changed only my android version from 4.3 to 5.1 and I rebooted my tablet and my system was fine, but my application still doesn't open. Then I thought that API version could cause the program to start, so I changed it from 18 to 24, I rebooted tablet and every Google Service was crashing with message "Unfortunately, Google XXX services has stopped"
I was trying to open configuration file again, but it's impossible, because of error messages.
I did force restore android system, but it doesn't restore system configuration files
And I installed app with gives access for editing system files again (i got apk file by usb), but I can't open it.
My tablet: Huawei Mediapad t1 8.0
