Those of you looking to unlock tethering on your Verizon Galaxy S4 running Lollipop. I am going to share the method I used to achieve mine today.
(1), root your phone using Kingroot app on your PC.
make sure your pc is connected to the internet for Kingroot to work.
(2), install SuperSu-Me on your phone
(3)run SuperSu-Me and allow it to install SuperSu.
(4) Join this community the Flahfire community on Google+. It is the community of the FlashFire app from Chainfire which is still in development phase and very important for does of us with locked bootloaders. Download the Flashfire app from the link provided in the community.
(5), download I545_OC1_TetherAddOn.zip
(6), After replacing the Kingroot SuperUser app with the SuperSu app from Chainfire from step (3), flash the tether mod zip file from Flashfire
(7) your phone will reboot and that is it. . You can now use your WiFi hotspot on your Verizon Galaxy s4 SCH-i545 without annoying Verizon ***Checking subscription*** or other restrictions .

Well Verizon is pushing everyone off UDP by raising them to ridiculous rates. So no need for unlocking tethering as tiered plans don't get charged. I'll be switching carriers soon as UDP was only thing keeping me on Verizon. Funny thing is I pay more now than I would on tiered and now their losing it all.

Yes that would be grate if it realy was posible.... most peoble know that cab files seem to slow down the OS compared to OEM packs built into the rom... remember when we started to get cab's from the Touch and every cab did slow down the phone... but now we have all those cab's and many more built into the rom and it's acualy become faster then before we got those cab's

Very interesting findings. What is the exact reason that make it run faster? No uninstall function or some other simpler process that make the entire rom "slimmer and lighter"?

Hey buddy, Guess what? There are *NO* professional users of PPC ROMs. The guys cooking the ROMs are regular people just like you and me. They had to learn everything from scratch just like you and me.
So when you come on here and start demanding things like you're the first one to think of it, guess what? you're not. Don't you think if it was possible to release ROM updates without re-flashing, we'd be doing that already?
Don't you think the ROM cooks are already trying to make their ROMs as stable and reliable as possible? It's not like they keep a "secret" version of their roms that are bug free to use by themselves...
Anyways, maybe it's your poor english, but your attitude towards the rom cooks is simply too demanding.

I do apologize if somebody feel angry from my topic.
But I say if we want anything we can have it. we can study about upgarding rom without flashing. it maybe some months or years to have it.

ROM cookers are not OS builders or PDA builders.
What I mean is people who are cooking ROM's are using ingredients that were not made by them. Windows Mobile 5, or 6 is from Microsoft, drivers for IR or BT or WiFi are from the hardware builders(I think)...
So, if the ingredients(WM5 or 6, applications...) are not so good, or the recipients(our PDA's) they use to mix or cook the ingredients are imperfect, "ROM COOKERS" have to make the best of them to make a nice meal(ROM)

Este fórum é em inglês pelo que não deverá ser usada outra língua. Se preferires, usa o sistema de mensagens pessoais para falares em Português.
Como já foi dito em vários posts, não existem ROM's melhores que outras. Existem vários posts sticky que te explicam como fazer upgrade para WM6 e onde listam as ROM's disponíveis.
Faz como a maioria de nós, testa várias para saberes a que mais te convém e usa essa.
Actualmente, estou a usar a PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6 Touch, mas existem alguns bugs.

As has been said before in several posts, there is no such thing as a ROM better than another. There are several sticky posts that explain how to upgrade for WM6 and where available ROM's are listed.
Do like most of us, test several to find out which one is best for you and stick with that one.
I am currently using PDAViet 4.0.0.0.6 Touch, but there are several bugs.

Hello everyone,
I bought an app (Paper Camera) during the 0.10c offer: I could download and use that, no problem.
Now the devs released an updated version (2.0) and I can't download and upgrade that as Market says I didn't buy the app.
I wrote to Paper Camera devs and they told me it's happening for other customers as well, and all bought the app during the promotion. He also said he didn't know why this happens and could do nothing about it since Google manages the whole Market matter.
Then I wrote Google, informed them about the issue and got a sad reply about Automatic Updates activation rolleyes; I emailed them again telling they didn't reply my question and I got this little jewel (English translation follows).

Hi I own Gt-S5830i with 2.3.6 and Last Night I received OTA udpate 3.8MB, I installed and it and post that My Google Play Store vanished, could not even re-install the backed up Market and Google Playstore. When I logged to Google Play Store Support Team, they said my device is rooted and they cannot support rooted device.
I was so much that I provided the screen shot, my phone is out of box and is on stock rom. How can they say that phone is rooted and because of which we are not supporting.
I was planning to buy Siii or Note atleast. But now I have to rethink on android as Google can uninstall and prevent anyone, and device becomes useless for formal android market/play store. It leads me to root my phone and install custom firmware and keep ripping google by this way
any suggestion or help for returning back to my google playstore.
Don't know what all they have monitored on my phone, I am serious about this

I even got the update yesterday.
Thank god I didn't apply the update yesterday.
Did you try unrooting your phone?
And when you applied the update was your phone rooted?

You can only flash custom rom if your bootloader is unlocked.

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks! I was a little hasty in trying to get CM on my Moto E this past weekend and followed a guide for Condor devices and ended up with no OS on my phone.. I was wondering how long my phone would be out of commission but it's back up and running now! And I've learned quite a bit in the process. This is my first time trying to put anything custom on a phone and I'm looking forward to watching this all progress and helping out in any way I can.
I'm excited for the development on this phone! Just bought one and already have TWRP and root. Thanks so much Devs! Keep up the amazing work!

Yes it's for xt1526. Boost Mobile variant. As previously stated, data not working. Voice not working. I'm sure Dev are working on it. This port still very fresh.

This is actually only tested on the XT1524 which I'm working on, I now have full voice/data/sms working starting from 20150417 build.
@JoshTheAndroidUser is testing on the XT1526 and he's helping me with the CDMA version.
I hope that we'll be able to have both the CMDA and the GSM version to work on the same build as they did with Moto G.
So to sum this up,
full support on XT1524.
normally full support on the XT1527
RIL issues on the CDMA( XT1526) version

Did you wipe Cache and Data? Until the rom because stable you won't be able to flash over a new one.
No wife after a day?
Every day when I come home I am unable to connect to wifi. I changed nothing in the middle time. I have to factory reset to use wifi again, but the next day the issue appears again. I am using the latest version of your rom (2015-04-18) on the XT1524. Any idea how I could solve this?

No sorry, I haven't tested that long, I usually reflash a lot of stuff during one day. Only way to help you is that you provide a logcat and dmesg.

How actually do I do that?
Download logcat app and run while creating the error. Dmesg through adb I believe.
Also try googling to find an answer
Please supply MD5 checksums for the nightlies (as files)
It was a nice & even more professional move of the developer scritch007 if we could have the MD5 files of the nightlies for use when downloading & checks while installing.
I attached the files (created by myself) with a ".txt" extension, because this forum don't allow to upload files with a ".md5sum" extension, so remove ".txt" after downloading to use them.

Bug Report
Seeing that I currently don't have posts, my reply will go here, but it's okay. I just want to report a bug I just experienced today. Anyway, this goes for Jelixis (I saw he's the xt1527 maintainer and that's the model I'm using.) Everything in this rom went good for me, until I applied a theme and minutes later I happened to open the config menu and it started to FC. So, seeing that I couldn't open it, I just rebooted my phone and when the bootanimation finished everything seemed black. To solve it, I wiped data and start again.
In short, I had an issue with the config menu, I'm not exactly sure what caused it (I think it was because I applied a theme). I just know that when I rebooted my phone I couldn't do anything but press the power button and turn the device off. I ask developers to solve this bug soon. Thanks in advance ^^.
Sprint was more or less giving this tablet away and I got one for my son. Bottom line, what I am trying to do is set it so the microSD card because the the install location (8GB internal holds the OS and 3 games). I have been able to root the phone but have been unable to successfully figure out how to implement the save location switch.
Any ideas? I am even open to rolling back to KitKat as I believe the sap was much easier with KitKat than it is with Lollipop.

I've done the same mistake, try to update the firmware.
Now my phone don't have the google's applications, impossible to install them and the disponible ROM is only for china, nothing for the moment for the rest of the world.
I found the global rom with google services
NX612-_ENCommon_V1.04, (UI 5.0)
I used the stock recovery to install it, but first I had to make a factory resert, and when it started it blinked a message saying that ui had stopped but still gave to do the process of configuration and a new factory resert.
Then restarted well and it works everything except digital printing.
The Chinese version is much better but I could not install the google services for lack of an appropriate TWPR and when I installed the gapps it don´t pass the boot, or the APPs did not work.

This is the chinese Rom , It is much better that the global even has facial unlock, but I could not install google services even unlocked and doing root on the phone, the existing TWPR is for Nubia N3 and of course it does not work well on V18.
