[HOW TO] Fix your hard-bricked LG G2 - G2 General

DISCLAIMER These methods were not found by me. I am just simply making a noob friendly guide.
Okay guy's I'm back with a guide on how to recover your cellphone from a hard brick. Apologies for the late thread.
This means your phone is the following:
- completely black doesn't turn on
- doesn't display anything on the screen
- qhsusb_bulk mode
- and lastly Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
Notes:
1. You DO NOT need to pry open your cellphone
2. This method is for 9008 mode, I am not sure about 9006 mode.
3. You don't need no VM (virtual machine) or Windows XP machine. I got mine working on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit
4. Most tutorials/guides don't include the first part of this one and about turning off your phone
5. If after you have completed all the steps and your phone is still not booting into the interface but you do see the LG G2 logo
please follow the steps on my other tutorial/guide that I made here
Prerequisites:
A) Qcomm Drivers (Virus Scan)
B) BoardDiag v2.99a (Virus Scan) (Mirror)
C) Choose your phones correct TOT model here or here
D) Make sure you have Visual C++ Redistributable Packages and or system libraries installed (Only if you can't open BoardDiag program)
1. Install the Qualcomm Driver
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After you installed the driver, you should see qhsusb_bulk mode turn into Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
2. Open up BoardDiag & extract the .TOT file which makes a partition.txt file that you need. Once the extraction is finished you will notice another window open up that says "complete"
Extracted files will look as such
3. Now change the following:
- AP Chipset (PICK the right model for your cellphone)
- Choose the correct port (the port you saw once you installed the driver)
- Change the "Target Dir" (to where ever you extracted your .TOT file)
- AP check (check mark it)
- EMMC TEST (check mark it)
- SDRAM TEST (possibly optional but I had mine checked)
4. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT
BEFORE you click "start" You need to unplug your cellphone and make sure it is off.
now you are probably saying "it is off, because its not displaying anything" that's not true. Make sure its off by pressing the power button for 1 minute.
After you have done that, Hold down the volume + (Volume up) then plug in your phone to the USB. Then click start
OTHERWISE
you will see this error
5. After you have done everything above correctly you will see something like the image below (which is my image after I fixed my hard-bricked phone)
That's it guys & gals after you have done all of these steps you will have a full working cellphone once more! enjoy!

Please HELP! bricked my jyaiu S3

So i made a mess of this!
I initially followed this to install the SW version of the jiayu S3 stock rom.
http://www.spemall.com/forum/topic/2160-how-to-install-international-rom-for-jiayu-s3-basic-and-jiayu-s3-advanced/
Nothing happened until I started playing around with the drivers. Then I got about 2% into the process and the flashtool crashed.
Now every time I try again I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can't turn on the phone anymore, it lingers in the Jyaiu screen but it charges and I can get into recovery mode.
Also, like an idiot, I did not make a backup.
I am thinking it has something to do with the drivers as the flashtool is unable to communicate with the phone, but I have no idea how to fix it!
Can someone please help me?
Fixed it! Here is a tutorial!
I installed the international rom for the Jiayu S3.
If you don't have gapps and/or your calendar and gmails apps do not sync. This will fix everyone of those issues.
I came across a lot of problems as windows, for some reason, it does not like the Jiayu drivers so the first time I flashed the device windows switched it off and corrupted the rom install. I was stuck with a phone that would not boot, it was just suck in the Jiayu logo.
FYI my phone would go into recovery mode!
I got it fixed eventually. This is what I did:
Before following the install instructions below:
On the phone go to settings, security:
- enable superuser and unknown sources
- disable verify apps
1. Format computer (you may now have to if you have not yet connected your phone to your pc. If you did, try using a different USB port)
2. Download the drivers from here and unzip onto desktop
http://thebroodle.com/microsoft/windows/how-to-install-mtk65xx-preloader-usb-vcom-drivers-in-windows
3. Connect the switched on phone to the PC (via USB) and windows will install some drivers
4. Once install finishes disconnect phone from pc
5. Turn phone off
6. Open pc device manager
(right click on computer, click on manage. New window will open, on the left side of the window double click on device manager)
7. Turn on flashtool
(follow this tutorial and use their tools: http://www.spemall.com/forum/topic/2160-how-to-install-international-rom-for-jiayu-s3-basic-and-jiayu-s3-advanced/) and press download
8. Go back to device manager window
9. Connect switched off phone to PC via USB
10. Go to device manager and wait for MTK65XX to appear under other devices
(this only shows up for a few seconds so keep a close eye on it) - if you miss it, disconnect the phone from PC and start over!
11. Right click on MTK65XX
12. Select update driver
13. Click on Browse
14. Select USB driver folder (downloaded from the above website)
15. Click ok
16. Windows should have now installed the correct drivers
17. Flashtool will start working straigt away (first the bar at the bottom of the flastool becomes green, then red, then purple then yellow with a % progression)
18. Go for a coffee
19. Wait until you get a big green tick on the screen
Flash complete and phone is working! Sigh of relief and curse windows repeatedly

D620r bricked (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008)

Hello,
I have an LG G2 Mini (D620r) that shows no signs of life(won't turn on, indicate charging etc.). When connected to a PC it appears as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" under windows and as "Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)" under linux. I've found a kdz (D620r20b_00.kdz) and have been tried to extract/flash/use it, but I don't have much experience fixing bricked phones(none). BoardDialog gives me some weird "Out of memory" error(image.prntscr.com /image/RWFfhRuRTG_EYYm9bOzpqQ.jpeg). Am I doing this the wrong way? What tools should I use to fix this?
Thank you in advance for any help!
George.
Try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/general/guide-unbrick-bricked-wrong-aboot-img-t3128896
I discharged the battery to 3v. Nothing happened when connecting it to the computer...
This should be the same mode you have, so no need to short the pins:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/help/lg-g2-minid620r-hard-brick-recovery-t3543466
I followed the guide and get some error(0x80004005) along the process.

No idea what that error is.
Try to see if you can find it on Google.
Disable antivirus.

Disabling Windows Defender didn't affect anything. Is the error somehow permission related? Do you know what it means?
"This problem may occur if a file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing. This behavior occurs if one or both of the following conditions are true:
A third-party backup utility or an antivirus program interferes with the installation of Windows XP.
A file that WPA requires is manually modified. "
This is what it says on the microsoft website for installation of Windows XP. I'm guessing it's the same for this installation too.

But that is a windows error. Not a QPST error(?).
It was the only sensible thing I found for that error code, so I suggested it anyways, nothing to lose

Umidigi A7 Pro

Hello. I purchased an A7 Pro, as soon as it arrived it was not doing the updates automatically, so I chose to update with the Flash Tool. I installed this latest version and it was a success.
However, while I was using the device, it crashed, turned off by itself and did not turn on again. I tried to do the process of installing the rom again, but it does not install the preloader because it does not recognize the USB connection as "Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM", in addition to constantly connecting and disconnecting.
Can you help me?

Hi Kzwir,
Since you were able to take a screen capture on your computer of the SP flash tool, I'm assuming that you have figured out how to use the Flash tool. Did you follow the directions on the Umidigi site: https://community.umidigi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=16931 ?
On the A7 Pro can you boot into bootloader mode? (From Power Off, press power button and volume up button once in the selection screen press the volume up button until you highlight fastboot and then press the volume down button)
If you can get into fastboot/bootloader mode, I would (in an account with administrator privileges) 1. Try a different usb cable, 2. completely uninstall any drivers, reboot the computer and then plug the phone in again while in Fastboot mode and see if it recognizes the connection. 3. Try a different computer - (if you used this computer to flash the phone originally, I suspect that this isn't the issue).
Good luck!
Dr. Bones
Hi.
I used all the procedures indicated in the official forum, I managed to make the device recognized with the necessary port for formatting (Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM).
The only problem that persists and probably hinders my goal is the intermittent connection and disconnection of the device, not allowing Flash Tool to perform the installation.
In all cases, what happens in the image I posted occurs. It loads the red bar and then does not perform any other procedure.

With an intermittent connection, I would look at 1. a different cable and 1. a different USB port (like the ports on the motherboard vs the front ports on a desktop).
Good Luck!
