Hey there guys!
So I just recently downloaded and installed the OTA android 6.0 update and now my Nexus 9 does nothing but loop on the google boot animation. I have wiped the cache and have done a factory reset, but because my boot loader is still locked I can't think of any other options.
Any Ideas?
The exact same thing happened to me.
I guess I'm taking it back to the store I got it from. I hope they play nice and offer a quick solution and not an endless send-in-and-wait-for-ages one.
Good luck!
it's dead. same thing happened to my 100% stock 32gb Nexus 9 (sand).
if you didn't Enable Developer Options previously there is no way to unlock the bootloader or sideload the update. I talked to Google Support last night. They escalated my issue....whatever that means. Currently waiting 24-48 hours for them to contact me. ugh
Mine is on the way to HTC... hope this doesn't take ages.
Cheers for all the replies guys!
I spoke to HTC and they admitted pretty outright that it was a fault on their end and is definitely covered under warranty. Time to play the RMA game!

Shortly after the ICS update came out I went over to my parents to make sure their rezounds got updated. My mom's updated with no issues but there was no ota ready for my dad. Flash forward to yesterday I was there again and checked my dads and still nothing. If I view the update status it it just blank. Rebooted no help. Finally did factory wipe since he had other issues, no help. So today he takes it to Verizon store and they claim its not their problem. They say he just hasn't gotten it yet and there's nothing they can do. Meanwhile my dad is the only rezound owner I know who hasn't gotten the ICS update. Anyone else?
Well since you did a factory reset/wipe you might as well run the ruu before your dad spends to much time setting it back up with his apps. Also make sure you get a back up of your internal sd card if there was anything of importance because it will wipe it.

I havent gotten it either, but I think it has to do with my phone being rooted and s-off. Trying to find a stock rom to flash back to. IDK if it will help or not.
I received a brand new in the box replacement from Telus yesterday as I have a horizontal pink line that intermittently runs through the scene of my s6 Edge. Upon setting it up I got the message "Unauthorized actions have been detected restart phone to undo any unauthorized actions. ". Even after resetting it it comes back every 5 minutes or so. I have factory reset it and not added anything to it, and have not re-flashed the firmware and neither has fixed the issue.
Any other suggestions? I had to wait 5 weeks for this replacement to be sent out as they are short stocked and back orderd according to the Telus Webstore.
Thanks for any insight or ideas of what else to try!
Just reflashed with the stock firmware in odin. That went well, the unauthorized actions message is gone, but now I get a Smart Manager stopped working error! Noticed that the update is pending so I will try installing that and see if that fixes the problem.
Updated to the most current firmware and within 5 minutes the unauthorized actions message was back! Seriously going crazy!
Looks like the system partition is somehow being triggered as modified. When you enter download mode, what does it say beside Current Binary, System Status?
Edit*
Here is a link to the newest OE1 factory image. Try unzipping and flashing all of the items. See if it fixes it.
https://mega.co.nz/#!aNwTgIpT!liCaT31aK-5muutZcgCaAxxXcLOYtUN1O5c6ytbcJw4
current binary : Samsung Official
system status: official
That is why I am so confused! I am downloading the newest and will see if that fixes it.
So far, so good. I am now using smart switch to add all of my stuff back, but no errors at all!
I had called Samsung before reading this post and they adamantly said "It is defective, no way to fix it, send it back to Telus for a replacement." Was not looking forward to using my messed up phone for another 4-5 weeks while waiting for a replacement.
Thanks again Evonc
Spoke too soon.. This time it took about 20 minutes for the message to pop up the first time.
Just factory reset AGAIN and cleared the cache. Will try to see if it pops up without any data on the phone at all.
Go into Settings-Applications-Applications Manager and see if it is possible to disable SecurityLogAgent. That is the application causing the pop-up. I know it can be disabled via TiBU if you're rooted but I'm unsure what happens if you are unrooted.

I can force close it but not disable it. i have now reset it again for the last time. If it happens again I will be calling it quits as I have spent way too much time messing with it. I am allowing google to add my google stuff back, but not installing any apps yet to see if that makes any difference.
Maybe root, install titanium backup, and freeze/uninstall security log?
Screw it! Just packaged the phone up and am sending it back.. Telus tried to tell me it was too late as it was past the 30 day warranty period for them to help me. Nice try peeps! Not my fault they sent me a defective phone! Once they receive this one back, they will then send a new one and I can send the original defective one back!
Thanks for the help guys!

I spoke with Samsung:
Roselyn: Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Technical Support. How may I help you today?
Austin: hi
Austin: i bought a S6 Edge from Verizon today and ever since turning it on I'm getting an error]
Roselyn: Hi, Austin!
Austin: "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes." I literally hadn't even setup my google account or anything after opening the device and this error came up
Austin: Per Verizon tech support, I did a factory reset.. same error
Austin: then I googled the error and it says it is KNOX causing an error and I have to replace the device?? I really don't have time to deal with going back to verizon and exchanging it, so I'm hoping you all can do something
Roselyn: I will help you with all the possible options.
Roselyn: May I have three minutes while I get the required information? Meanwhile, to have an interactive experience of Samsung products, visit us at http://samsungsimulator.com/
Roselyn: Thank you for being online.
Austin: np
Roselyn: I see that the issue can be fixed if you update the device software.
Roselyn: Please check with the updates in settings>>about device>>check for updates.
Austin: no update necessary
Roselyn: I would like to inform you that the issue will be fixed in the update.
Austin: huh'
Austin: in what update
Austin: it said it is fully updated
Roselyn: Please let me know the base band version and the current android version of the device. You can find them in applications>>settings>>about device.

The 72 hour lock out thing is one of the dumbest thing's Google has ever done. So I got a Nexus 6 since launch. figured i'd try getting 6.0 on there since i'm on Verizon and and OTAs from them take forever. So after much messing around and a few failed attempts I get 6.0 to boot on my Nexus 6, happy days right? Well I get this message when signing in for the first time "This device has been reset please login". So I did and after password I get "please sign in using owners accounts of the owners of this device". So after google I fond out this is some sort of security lockout that has no way to defeat it once triggered because I reset my password. I did this Sunday at 8am. Well I got a little restless about it yesterday and following someone else advice I tired to flash to 5.0, in theory since it doesn't have the password lock out i'd be able to sign in, get the OTA update to 5.1 then install 6.0 without resetting user data and be in. Thing is 5.0 wouldn't boot on my phone. I'd get stuck at the boot animation. I figured because my phone being a Verizon phone never got 5.0. So I installed 6.0 again and stupid me flashed user data again. This was yesterday around 5PM. Figured I was done with it and let it be. Well today when I woke up I figured the lockout should be over but I'm still getting that same message when logging in. Did I trip the freaking 72hr lockout again? So I'm not gonna have my phone till Friday 5PM? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I DO NOT HAVE MY PHONE FOR ANOTHER 72HRs?!?!?! This really makes me want to smash the phone with a hammer and get Asurion to send me a refurb replacement.
I have been very happy with my Nexus 9. I bought it at Best Buy the first day it came out. I just returned from a holiday trip, and I kept thinking what a great
traveling device I had, so compact, yet so nice to use, so much better than the laptop I used to carry. I liked the screen, the aspect ratio, the performance.
Well, as soon as I returned, I was surfing Firefox and the screen went all crazy with an abstract pattern and I could only reboot with the power button.
Since then, this has started to happen repeatedly when my battery level drops below about 40%. The screen is white or white with some sort of geometric pattern
and the device is completely frozen. This morning I rebooted, played with it a few more minutes and it happened again.
I have found a few mentions of similar problems online and none of them were fixed by a software reset. Of course, I will do that, but I'm convinced this is not going to help.
So I've had my tablet for a few months beyond the year warranty. And I paid full original price. And I can live with it and keep the battery above 40%, assuming things don't
degrade, but of course, they usually do. Or I can try to work with HTC to pay for an expensive repair (motherboard replacement was said to work). Or I can write it off
and replace it.
I like Android. I am thinking the Pixel C would even be a step up. But I have some big concerns. My first Nexus 7 (2012) failed after warranty was up. Now my Nexus 9 is failing
very soon after warranty is up. I really hate the Apple way of doing things, but I do know that if I get an iPad, I won't have any problems getting it fixed, plus I think it would
be much more mature than a new Google tablet that has sold to a handful of Android enthusiasts.
So I'm just disappointed. With 20/20 hindsight, I should have gotten Best Buy's extended warranty, but that's life. Anyway, I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.
Monday update: For those who may be interested. I contacted HTC customer service and they told me that my warranty expires in 5 days. So I am sending it back under warranty.
As I tried to back up data prior to wiping it clean, I discovered that the Nexus 9 mounts on my Windows 7 computer as it always did, but there is no longer a file system that shows up. I had to back up my data over wifi
using FTP. So this is a very clear and repeatable problem, which means the HTC people will not have to try to reproduce an intermittent freeze up.
Anyway, it will go back tomorrow and I hope for the best.
Hey,
I have the same issue with my tablet, was it fixed?

There is an extra step involved from Marshmallow deices to see the filesystem: - http://www.androidcentral.com/inside-marshmallow-usb-connection-options
Thanks corkiejp I did figure this out. I was so stressed backing up all my files before sending it back I sort of freaked out when the file system was gone. But yes, it is just another step to get it back.
In response to "was it fixed?" I am not yet sure. I called HTC and they called it a software problem and reinstalled the OS. I told the guy I was sure this would not fix it (based primarily on other peoples' reports online) and he "noted" my irritation, but that was the extent of their fix.
So I got all my apps installed from the image (very convenient) which took a few hours, then it gave me 3 system updates and now I'm back to where I started. I have let it run down to 25% battery a few times
and there has been no failure so far.
I do have a gut feeling that this was actually not a software problem and it will show up again. At least I will be able to push for warranty service if that happens.
I sure do love this tablet. I was using my 2013 Nexus 7 while it was gone. I was crazy about the Nexus 7 as my first tablet in 2012, but the Nexus 9 makes it seem quite antiquated and the bigger screen is much better for everything I use it for. If the Nexus 9 does fail again, I'll send it back, but I was quite serious about trying an ipad. I will need to jailbreak it to get it anywhere near a product I can use, but that seems to be a breeze. But anyway, Nexus 9 is working great at the moment.
Latest update. So for about 3 weeks I used my Nexus 9 and charged it whenever it got down below about 30% battery and no problems. So I thought OK maybe this was a software problem after all and it was fixed.
However, yesterday, it froze on white screen at 39% battery. Clearly this is not fixed. I will wait until I see this happen once or twice more, then contact HTC and tell them I need to claim warranty service even though I am
now out of warranty, since their first fix under warranty did not work. Then I will see if they will fix it under warranty and most importantly, whether or not they just reinstall software again and call it fixed.

This happened to my first N9 after 4 months. They k ow it's not a software problem. It's ridiculous that they present they've never seen this issue everytime someone reports it. I demanded replacement for mine. I tried flashing a factory image myself before that and it changed nothing.
You are not alone - my N9 fails below battery 60% https://youtu.be/-ISHFFZVJVw and http://goo.gl/1i50x4
Hi guys.
I'm quite new here so forgive me if I put the post in the wrong place.
Let me try to describe my issues with my phone.
A couple months ago I got a new LG V60 from my wife (brand new but without warranty).
The first problem I noticed after a few days was that the fingerprint scanner wasn't working properly. I mean everyone can unlock my phone after a few tries placing finger on the scanner at an angle.
When I try to unlock the phone by fingerprint it takes ages (it's very difficult to unlock the phone for the first time). I was trying remove saved fingerprint and create a new one but the problems is still there.
Another problem is with losing signal from satellites when using navigation. I was trying Google maps, Sygic and TomTom and it's look like the Google works best but there is still problem with signal, quite often I get information about 'searching position'.
Next one is that the phone is freeze sometimes and I have to restart it to work properly. It's happening around once a week.
I was trying hard reset but it didn't fix it, then I downloaded the original firmware with android 10. I don't know if it helped because I got lots of updates and it ended up on the Android 12 again. At the beginning of use after this operation the phone was working better but after a couple of weeks the same problems came back.
I'd like to add if I want to do a back up I get information like this "the required google certificate has been deleted". On Android 10 this information wasn't appearing.
Do you have guys any idea what's wrong with this phone?
Thank you in advance.

I also have the v600TM on Android 10. I have had no problems with the fingerprint except after the first time I unlocked the bootloader (see 1st post for the fix). I did not allow an update to Android 11 or 12. Maybe you should try the fingerprint on A10 for awhile before moving to 12.
Hopefully you don't have one of those Chinese refurbs pretending to be new!

Hi
Thank you for the reply.
Maybe you right and I should try to use the phone on android 10 and see if it's works properly. I'll see what happens.
Do you know when android 13 will be available for V60?
As a owner of the V30, V40 I'm really disappointed of the V60 now.

Hi,
You're welcome. When you are new to a forum or group, its like you are invisible.
My current main phone is the V30. The V60 has been more difficult than past phones to configure the way I want. When I installed TWRP a few months ago it was a DISASTER! Installing MicroG (to replace google play services) has also not worked out well. I have limited funds and I am beginning to wonder if the V60 was a good choice.
There is already an Android 13 beta for some versions of the V60.
The thing with V60 is that it is newer than V30. So a lot of fixes are not fully cooked. With LG gone from the scene, there is no incentive for developers to pursue it with any dedication. I don't know if TWRP will be fully built for this phone.

I do remember how slow the V30 was in the beginning. Now the V30 has a bunch of ROMs and an OFFICIAL LineageOS! I hope the V60 goes the same way. I doubt it, though.

I forgot to mention that I posted a possibly newer (than 3.6.0-11) version of TWRP for the V60:

Hi guys
It's me again with another problem
As for the above problems that I wrote about, I decided not to do anything about it for now and patiently wait for the android 13 update and see what happens.
How happy I was when two days ago I received the opportunity to download the update.
The joy did not last long, as it turned out that I'm unable to download the update.
Previously, I got information like 'The phone is being use and update will be downloaded later' (or something similar). Now the update downloads for a while and pops up 'Installation problem' and cannot be downloaded (always in the same time). I restarted the phone, deleted apps, changed from WiFi to mobile data and still the same.
Do you have guys any ideas what can I do with it?
As far as I know the phone is from US (T-mobile) and I live in the UK.
Thank you in advance for your help

How to check if the bootloader is unlocked?
As I said before I haven't done anything yet with the phone as I was waiting for the update but I'd like to check it, maybe the bootloader was already unlocked

When the phone is starting up (after being off or rebooting) it will say something like: This phone cannot be checked for corruption. Lock the bootloader.
If the bootloader is locked I suggest you backup before doing a factory reset.
