Yes, but there is now universal solution. You have to check for every web page which setting is used.
google mobile
google classic

Hello everyone,
since i see a lot of people having trouble downloading/purchasing stereoscopic 3d games from gameloft(Me being one of them until i found out how to do it) i have made a guide on how to buy their stereoscopic 3d games. Currently i have only made a guide for Internet Explorer 9 but i will add guides for Firefox, Opera and Chrome in the future.
I have purchased all 5 stereoscopic 3d games and tested them on my HTC Evo 3D GSM and they work perfectly so far
How to do it on you computer with Internet Explorer 9:
Step 1a: First you need to change the User Agent String. Go into Tools > F12 developer tools or press F12 and the developer tools will show.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 1b: Then on the developer tools bar go into Tools > Change user agent string > Custom..
In the Friendly Name text box enter a name for the User Agent String, i called it HTC Evo 3D USA.
In the User Agent String text field copy and paste this string into the text field: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3; en-us; HTC/Shooter_U/1.01.161.1 Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1
Then press the Add button to save the string.
Step 1c: Now you need to set the User Agent String. After you have added the string select it and press the Set button.
The gameloft website will now recognize your browser as the HTC Evo 3D CDMA version from Sprint.
Step 2a: Now you need to set up a proxy so it will look like youre accessing the website from United States.
First go to this website: http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ and choose the settings like the picture below and press Update Results
Step 2b: When you have filtered the list choose one of the ips and save the IP and the Port in a text file or somewhere else(You will need it when you set up the proxy)
Step 2c: Now when you have the ip and port ready we can set up the proxy.
Go into Tools > Internet Options
Then choose the tab Connections and press on the button LAN settings
Check the option Use a proxy server for your LAN and paste the IP into the Address text field and the port into the Port text field and then press OK.
Step 3a: Now you have set up the User Agent String and the Proxy and the gameloft website will now recognize you as a HTC Evo 3D CDMA from United States. Now to buy the games go to http://m.gameloft.com and press Continue. Gameloft will now redirect you to the HTC Evo 3D website where you can currently download 5 stereoscopic 3d games. Click on buy and then buy the game as you would normally.
Step 3b: When you have bought the game press Download and Oh no it says: The webpage cannot be displayed.
But you can still get the game
Copy the link and save it in a text file(We will need it in the next step)
Step 3c: Go to this site http://people.w3.org/rishida/tools/conversion/ and paste the link in the text field called Mixed Input. Then remove this part: sai://SprintInstaller?url=
Then press the button UTF-8 units and it will convert the links
Then copy the converted link from the Characters text field
and paste it in your address bar and it will download the .apk file
Step 4: When you have finished downloading the .apk file you need to transfer it to your HTC Evo 3D over usb. When you have transferred it just install it as any normal .apk you would install. Browse to the file using a File Explorer like Root Explorer or Astro and then select install.
Note: I will recommend that you use a wifi connection when you first launch your game because the games need to download additional game data.
Step 5a: This step will tell you how to disable the proxy and change the User Agent string to Internet Explorer 9 again.
First we will need to disable the proxy.
Go into Tools > Internet Options
Then choose the tab Connections and press on the button LAN settings
Uncheck the option Use a proxy server for your LAN and then press OK.
Step 5b: Now you need to open the developer tools again(Look at step 1a if you have forgotten how to open the developer tools)
When you have opened the developer tools go into Tools > Change user agent string > Default
Thats it you have now learned how to purchase stereoscopic 3d games from gameloft on an unsupported carrier/country.
Enjoy
sweet! i will give this a try!
Awesome guide. But you totally should have posted this last week when all the 3D games where only 99 cents!
They are back to full price now :-(
Hello i know there was that sale but i only figured it out yesterday how to purchase the stereoscopic 3d games. But ill think theyll make another 99 cent sale again sometime(I hope so)
Couldn't you just go to www.wapshop.gameloft.com/wifi on your phone and change your device to Sprint EVO 3d? I have changed my phone to HTC sensation to buy some of the 2d games not available for my Sprint 3d.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
I'm from Portugal and i am now downloading that game.. i choosed EUA Sprint, input my credit card information and, although they say they will send you an sms with the link to download (which we cannot receive because we aren't really on sprint) they also send a download link to your email.. i downloaded the .apk and installed it ok.. it is now downloading the content of the game (more than 300MB).. when it finishes i will give feedback..

Thats what i do, except i just pick evo 4g and it always works, this guide really only helps those who are out of country.
I can confirm this is working If you get the 'Internet Explorer' cannot connect to page error like I did. Make sure the https:// is gone if you're using a HMA HTTP-Only proxy
I am looking for a native android app that will convert the .mpo files from our EVO 3D's to a 3D animated gif. I've been searching the market and this forum to no avail.
Just like this website, 3Dporch, does but without the sharing and right on my phone.
I downloaded the Sprint TV apk from my EVO 3D to my View today so I could watch the Daytona races live on Speed Channel, however it wouldn't work. It's not available in the market for the View but works fine and is free on the EVO 3D.
The app opens and shows the available channels, but they all have a $ on the icon indicating a subscription is required. I can't buy a subscription to them either. Anyone know how the get the app to work on a View running original Gingerbread never rooted? I searched but didn't come up with anything.
Thanks,
Richard
Hi, Does anyone know how to use the ToF Sensor?
For the Xperia 1 ii they had a 3D Creator app which could scan in 3D models. However, it looks like it has been discontinued. I tried contacting them via email and even the email address has been deactivated. Is there any other way to use the ToF sensor? I am a 3D developer and owuld like to use it to scan in some models
Hii.
I got the 3D Creator app working on my Xperia 1 iii with this:
[PORT][APP][8.0+] Sony 3D Creator for all devices UPDATE [3.0.A.0.32]
Sony 3D Creator Port Updates for Sony 3D Creator port, based on nullbytepl's work. I will build new versions if they come available, please message me if I do not notice an update. App Description: Requirements: 1. Android 8.0+ 2. Decent...
forum.xda-developers.com
I installed the 3.0.A.0.32 APK and 3.0.A.0.30 obb, renamed it to main.6291488.com.sonymobile.scan3d.obb
Thingy works but results weren't amazing for the little time I've spent trying it out. Don't think it uses the ToF, or maybe just not calibrated right. Am also looking for an on-device 3D scanning app.
Hello,
I'm interested in this topic and I'm looking for a good application for 3D scanning that would use the TOF sensor. Have you found an alternative?
3D Sony creator doesn't work on my device (Xperia Pro I).
Do you know if it is possible to install the Samsung application for their device that have the TOF sensor (note 10+ ...)?
