Description:
Aroma'ROM firmware for the two versions of the phone: D856 and D858HK. Aroma'ROM is installed from Recovery MODE
During the installation process the user is provided with a wide selection of installed software[applications]. Your decides what will be installed and what is not. In the case of a wrong firmware or if you want to change the installation package of the firmware, you can firmware reinstall.
What you can add or exclude:
1. You can select the model of phone.
2. Set the requested percentage oversharpened
3. Set or remove the tick to install the following applications:
- LG Apps: FM radio, postal service, weather, recorder.
- Useful Apps: app the website forPDA, torrent search, Tool-care system, management of gestures(for D858), e-book and a great audio driver.
- Different Apps: the ad blocker and the APN configuration.
App from Google: Books, Google Crome, Drive, Gmail, Maps&Street, Music&Videos, PlayGames, PlusOne, TalkBack
4. You can select the keyboard: LG, Xperia.
5. You can select internet browser: Stock or USMobile. Also under Google apps: Chrome.
6. You can select the file Manager: Stock, ESExlorer, RootExlorer, Total Commander.
If you memory card is inserted, in the it's root will appear archive Fix_eXFat.zip. This archive will need to flash it through recovery mode after installing the firmware, in that case, if you format your memory card in the format eXFat.
Friends, after installing and all the manipulations, you select the Flex theme. She rebuilt graphically. Made the player transparent widget, Taskmanager and widget transparent. Something else, but can't remember.
As a bonus, if you memory card is inserted,in the its root appears in the folder ViPER4Android, which, if you are in the process of installing the firmware installed Viperfx copy it to the root of internal memory. Starting Viperfx, installation driver, at the request reboot - restarts the phone. Then again launch the app and download Viperfx profile. If you have copied the above folder to the root phone memory, then when you load the profile to display profile, which should be progruzil, and then enjoy some great music. I suggest that you listen to music in FLAC format. Even native headset that comes bundle the sound in order to improve. If in the program settings Viperfx you will select the interface "Expert", when headphones are connected, turn on Convolver and choose the impulse Accudio ((48kHz Z. E.)) HIFI Earpods.irs - personally, I use it. Then go to the settings for save profile, overwriting the existing, or create a new one. When comparing the sound with the included Viperfx and off - You'll be surprised the difference in sound. Also in the profile settings will be installing audio driver for the speaker.
To compare the difference of sound advise to listen to "with" and "without.->>>" Great track as FLAC

I just dont understand. I read that the only stock firmware for D858 is 4.4.2 and this ROM should be 5.0.1. So what does it mean? Is there also stock 5.0.1 for D858?

Sorry I thought you wanted to know if it was AOSP, CyanogenMod, or Stock firmware.
Not sure of the version number but it say's 20E which is lollipop but unsure if D858 was updated to lollipop maybe someone else can answer that.

Well, according to this page http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g3_dual_lte-6764.php it only has KitKat firmware, so it is a mystery where is this rom from...

@inclub.org,installed it on my d858hk,its way way smooth and snappy than stock ROM and even GPS gets locked within seconds....thanks for the wonderful ROM and is there a way to reduce the size of navigation bar /vanish navigation bar and make it pop up based on need(without xposed)thanx once again.

you dont need to modify anything, just maybe you'll need to flash the "original" modem files using fastboot
First make sure you have the modem files for you device!

Think it has a different processor and maybe modem besides no cellular calling on the 237 right?...check the general sections there are some boards on this...235 and 235y are GSM variants cannot work on Sprint and vice versa 237 on say ATT or Tmobile

I've still not been able to get Xposed to work.
Also, is anyone able to confirm that charging and usb-otg can function simultaneously? I'm trying to work out whether or not mine isn't working is down to the ROM or my adapter.
All is good, except Xposed isn't working... hope it gets supported or we get a fix soon.

@ambasadii Thank you for the great lite ROM.
I was on XXU1BPC2 previously and having low storage problem. Decided to downgrade to this rom after failing to find root solution for XXU1BPC2.
Hope newer firmware will be rooted soon so that this ROM can get a update.
I have a problem with google account in this rom.
Cannot create google account because the phone thinks it cannot make a connection with google servers.
Any solutions?
Edit:
For few hours of testing and frustration I found the following method that worked in my case:
1. Remove google account from accounts, if you have it there.
2. Remove Google Play Services updates and it's cache.
3. (Propably not necessary) wipe dalvik and cache in twrp.
4. Reboot and add google account to accounts.
Can i install this one over CM13?!
Ps. Can i install bootloader/modem through my existing twrp?! And do i need to install it in the first place?!

I tried and did not want to work.
After downloading and installing the libraries, it asks to restart and still after rebot shows that the libraries have not been installed.

Yep, please follow the instructions below.
Enter developer options, and make sure root is authorized there.
Delete file system/smartisan_recovery-from-boot.p
Enter fastboot model and flash in new recovery.
Be careful that the GMS Installer and ROM OTA update might not work if you use a 3rd-party recovery.

Contributor, as an employee of Smartisan, and it's a company project, not a personal work.
This build is the official international version. You could easily tell from the changelog that we removed quite a few modules that only work in China, say App Store, Game Center, Chinese Voice Search and etc. You could check the changelog and see all the work we made for international users.
Back to the version from the thread you mentioned, he shared our domestic market version. You will find that there's no Google services, and that the default language is Chinese. Anyway, it's not a good option for international users.
In short, both builds are official and developed by Smartisan, one for China market, the other for international release.

Rom works 100% no issues so far been using it for 2 days nice to have something different to use.
Bluetooth audio works flawlessly for me on this rom, was having pitch bend audio speed up & slow down on almost ALL other roms 4.4.4 - 5.1.1 - 6.0.1 but not on Smartisan ROM.
Clock screen , lockscreen & calc are nicely designed , tap to wake works perfectly overall very well made & stable rom many thanks.

May I know which launcher setting you prefer, 9-Grid or 16-Grid? And How you think of those re-designed icons, say Starbucks, IMDb, Youtube, Washington Post and etc? Yes, we re-designed over 2000+ App icons to better match our UI style.

@xcjchandler I would like to try this ROM, especially as I'm currently using your launcher as default with my current MM ROM. Before that, however, I would like to know it it can be installed over and encrypted /data (that I will of course wipe) and /data/media (that I would rather not wipe ).

actually, 2.6.0 is not an official version it's made in the free time of a Chinese developer (all credits go to him)
Edit: you can install google services if you want to, even in the Chinese version... via Smartisan market

then you can add widgets. However, I very much prefer the default option/setting

I dont want erase all extra application of 20s stock ROM, but all apps I convert them so you can uninstall without any apps, directly from ROM. Are this:

I have not root either, because root and NFC pay dont work fine. If you want root, flash SuperSU by TWRP.
And included Pixel Launcher, for those that EUI don´t like, and all Google Pixel Live Wallpapers.
If you have installed T.A.R.S. 19s, you can make a TWRP backup of your current version, install 20s, configure Setup Wizard, and then restore from TWRP of your DATA partition. All yours apps and configuration back again.
BE CAREFUL THAT YOU HAVENT ANY PATTERN OR FINGERPRINT TO UNLOCK YOUR PHONE BEFORE BACKUP BECAUSE WHEN RESTORE DATA DONT RECOGNIZED YOUR PATTERN OR FP AT BOOT.

I think not, its a different base. Make a backup and try it.

US version of 20s includes Dec 1 security patch, so I assume this ROM still has it.

After restoring data in twrp I could not unlock screen as it did not recognise my pattern or fingerprint. Not a big loss though, just Whatsapp messages.

- But, wireless display, does not work. ( With the ROM stock 17s, without the root, it worked well )

- On the tacticals buttons, click on the small square button, then back with small triangle button, the return does not work.

Wireless display its a stock USA Rom bug, dont work 20s either 19s USA version. In LeEco Lemax2 X820 only work with Chinese stock ROMs, Indian dont work.
I dont translate, its on stock ROM

Neither do I, backing up from recent apps works just as it should.
The WhatsApp notifications work well here? with CM13 TS Work fine .. but with no stock 20s

All stock roms you must use this in dialer: *#*#46360000#*#* and disable last menu option, and reboot phone.
Then all notifications work fine :good:

It's ok, your ROM is still awesome. I kinda like EUI, but hate that little button. Would replacing launcher3.apk with version from Cuoco's ROM work? Why I even asked, I try.

I think so, buy every launcher3.apk are different. If you want try it, it´s better that you use another lanucher before and make a backup of original launcher3.apk :good:
Doesn't seem like I can pick up LTE band 12, I'm getting no service in a few places where I used to get LTE connectivity. Anyone else with the same issue? I tried flashing the US modem to no avail. My device is the US model x727.

I don't know when will it be released. I don't use long time, so I can not compare. But design is better so far for me

I really hope that version 5.0 only comes to Asian phones (if at all and at most) because that's what typically people from there like. But in my opinion, the new style just moves further away from stock Android look and closer to iOS. The skin looks "heavy" and "bloat -ish". The notification toggles UI got worse and the rounded notifications is not useful. It's like a bit more childish theme. Would be nicer if ZTE actually let us and not them customize the notification toggles. They literally removed one of Android Nougat's offered feature here: customized toggles and hidden menu.
this method is working on G model too.
Installed and followed the instructions to the tee. I have the U variant. Phone is not booting into system, recovery or EDL mode. When trying to power on the phone it vibrates and light blinks twice. Same when trying to boot into recovery.
EDIT: I fixed my problem. It just isnt booting after following the steps tho.

Yeah, guess we'll have to wait and hope MiFavor 5 officially comes to the U version. After many months of using custom ROMs, I came back to plain stock + root and realized how much I missed it. Stock ROM with Nova Launcher isn't that bad. I mean without Xposed, not THAT much you can do on custom ROMs anyway, with the exception of a few minor tweaks here and there. At least not with what I want.
@WesTD do me a favor, please. Create another backup and include system, data and boot. I'm going to make a flashable zip.

It worked on my 2017U. Instead of installing the Google Play Services linked in the OP, I installed it from apkmirror, along with Google Play Store. Worked perfectly. One thing I would like to add, if you are being prompted for a password upon startup, go to TWRP and perform a factory reset. I was and that's what worked for me.
Does Magisk work on this?
