Be notified whenever Google Play Services/Store are updated... - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Is there any app out there that could notify me (I don't even need to block, only be notified) when Google Play Services, Google Play Store and other silently autoupdatable Google apps are updated?
I recall to be able to do it using Xposed module X-Privacy... Now I'm on stock rooted Marshmallow and I wouldn't like to use Xposed...
Any app out there?
Thanks a lot.

No one cares ¿?

No one? Really?

Stock Google apps not showing in Play Store

Hi,
I just got a Z3 Compact for my girlfriend to migrate from iOS. Everything is ok so far except the fact that all the preinstalled apps (Maps, YT, Hangouts, Services etc.) dont show up in the My Apps section of the Play Store. I have to find them manually to update them. Why is this? any fix?
Thanks!
anyone?
Pre-installed apps usually don't show on Play Store, there's no solution to it.

Google Play Protect active?

Hey Guys,
I need your knowledge.
First my setup. I use MicroG together with Play Store.
It works but in newer Version of the play store i have a new section in the app list with Google Play Protect.
But i don't want that Google scans all my apps and i'm not sure whether Play Protect is activ on my device.
Or thinks the Play Store only that Protect runs because of MicroG?
And if so is there a working way to pretend the Play Store from self updating?
Edit: In the meantime i found a work around. So Thread can be closed/deleted.

Downsides to Installing Google Play?

I am going to be buying an android TV device thats ROM that does not have google play store and i will just install it my self.
I am wondering is there any downsides to this. Will i still be able to download and install all the apps from play store or is there any limitations at all?
Google Play Store simply is a market place for Android apps. To successfully run the Google Play Store app it's required some more Google services ( e.g. Google Play Services, Google Services Framework ) get additionally installed. Many people don't want this.
It's on you.

Thank you.
So play store does not check if your device is supported/official it just lets you download and use any app as long as you meet the requirements of the app.
Google Play Store doesn't care what Android version is installed on a device: they want to earn money from the apps they offer.

Google Play - disable autoupdate.

Hi all dear XDA users.
I have a problem with the Play Store. I need to disable the auto update of the Play Store itself (not to be confused with excluding application updates). If anyone knows a way and would be able to share it, I would be very grateful.

Play store settings/network preference/automatically update apps.
I am not talking about updating the application via the Play Store, but about disabling the auto-update of the Play Store Application itself.

It seems to me that it's the same thing or else put restrictions on the play store by prohibiting Wifi and data, by doing this you will no longer have any updates.

An Android app I use was removed from the play store

An Android app I use was removed from the play store. I was never notified and the app is still installed and working. I have a couple questions. Is it possible to find out why the app was removed? Is it still safe to use the app? Why did Google remove it but not notify me and leave it installed?

Firstly, assuming that the app was removed, Google can remove it, basically for security reasons and has no obligation to, either, notify users, and less, remove it from your device.
The app also could decide to retire itself from the Play Store.
Search in the net, if some information, regard this app can be found.
App removed from Google Play Store - Google Play Help
If you are looking for an app that is no longer available on Google Play, the developer may have removed the app from Google Play or the app violated our Google Play Developer Program Policies
support.google.com
You can try to find and reach the developer and ask your questions.
Google can remove malicious apps from your device without notifying you. If the app is still installed probably it's safe to use it.
