I bought an M730W about a month ago from geeks. It came with 2.3.4 on it. I searched high and low to find the ICS for it since I'd seen that the same model is out and comes with it installed. I finally contacted Geeks to see if they could get me in touch with the manufacturer. They had no contact info. Finally after digging around I noticed something with the name of the US based company that hold the patent rights to it. I then dug more and got their number and while I was on hold I found their site. At this address (mymidpad dot com forward slash Downloads_M730Flash dot html) iwas was able to obtain a good manual and the updated firmware. Inside the installer it comes with PhoenixUSBPro, an IMG file and a key. During the install it said it was installing drivers to my laptop but I can not find them when I connect my tablet. The only way that I can apply the update is to have my M730W connected to my machine in a way that it's recognized. The only way for me to do so now is to connect as a USB storage device which does me no good when it comes to using the included software and firmware for updating. So my question is, does anyone know what I can do to resolve this issue?
Hey Tod. I also have the m730w. ICS is definitely available for the tablet but theres a catch. Since its a tablet(a generic one at that) you have to use a program for your pc called Live Suite which is primarily used for the ainovo tablets but can be used with any generic tablet. I cant do it right now but most likely tonight, ill post the links and the information on how to upgrade to ics. im currently running 4.0.3 flawlessly and much faster and smoother than GB. and i have full root which i can also show you how to do. just let me know

That's killer Ace, thank you so much!!! Mine came rooted, which has been a blessing. Whenever you can get the information to me is fine. I'll do a search for Live Suite and see if I can at least get that step taken care of.

I hav same tab, worked great until about the 5th rom i tried, now my touch screen is off, you hav to touch dn to the left of where u want..or off to the side.. now any rom i flash has same issue.. do u hav the stock rom or now of a fix for this..any help... i tried links and site would not load..to u hav original rom thanks
Anyone have a step by step of how to do this? I'd really like to run CM9 on it, but have no idea how to even boot into recovery mode. Where's the youtube video?

I don't have just the rom. What I've got is the package that can be downloaded from their site. I don't have enough posts in to put an external link in my posts here. I'd try using a different browser and going to the URL I cheated into my OP. Just replace "dot" with "." and "slash" with "/". The software doesn't install the drivers properly on Vista though so you will want to be aware of that.
Any other word??? I want to update my neice's if at all possible.

I have searched this exhaustively! I still don't know what ROM to download or how to boot into recovery mode. The guy above who posted about Live Suite? Haven't heard back from him. I downloaded that, but without the ROM, I don't see the point in even setting it up. I'm not particular about which ROM, as long as it's newer than the one on here, preferable CM7 or newer, but beggars can't be choosers emmirite??!!

Well, well, well. Someone gave me a POS Kocaso M750B and I've been on a search to do something else with it. And I find a good chap from the epic 4G forums.
Did you ever make any progress getting any other rom on your el cheapo tablet?

LOL. Hi there. Nope. Not a damn thing have I done with mine. It is sitting on my desk. I let my son play Minecraft on it on long rides, and I use it as backup for my phones camera. I know it could be so much smoother, but is being crippled by it's OS. If I could ficgure out how to boot it into recovery I might risk bricking it with a questionable ROM. But I can't find the ROM OR the means by which to boot into recovery. In truth though, I mainly got it to patootz with. I'm more of a laptop kind of guy anyway.

If you don't know, there's no chance any of us ever will. Someone got this for free at some promotion and handed it off to me, so I'm out absolutely nothing. Just a bummer there isn't more to do with it. You'd think that all these POS tablets would just share the same mainboard and proc, so that some standard JB rom would work for all of them. The screen is terrible and it registers touches so poorly that many games are just unplayable. But, if I give it to one of my nieces or nephews, I'll be a hero!

Yes you will be a hero. I'm sure there are generic ROMS that would work with this. A) I have no idea where they would be. and B) I don't know how to flash them. If I found one I suspected was close, I might try to ODIN it on there.

Move over here from SG3 I never had a htc phone before. The reason for the move because I tried to change the crack screen on my SG3 and I screw up and the phone doesn't work anymore hahaha. I had the original galaxy and move to SG3 so instead of getting SG4 I figure I'll try something new this time plus I heard a lot of good thing about the screen for the HTC ONE which the most important thing about smart phone for me.
I do need help, been trying to import the contact from my sim to the HTC ONE but can't seem to figure out how, seem very hard to do so on this phone I wonder why ?

Have you tried the transfer content option in settings? It helped me transfer some things from my iPhone 4 to that, such as contacts pictures and messages.
If not, do you have a gmail account? You can sync contacts to your gmail.
Not sure but you should probably move your contacts to your gmail account, then back them up. That way when you get your aluminum Galaxy S5 with front facing S-Sound Speakers next year all you'll need to do is login with your google account and they all copy over.
Thank for answering guys but it got sorted out, it just synced the contact an hours later by itself I have no no idea how. Anyway another question is does T-mobile still offer the car kits that come with this phone on their website ? Cause if they are I will return this to Wal Mart and go order on the website.
No...it was a pre order thing. It's a nice car kit but it doesn't fit with a case so it may be a moot point and not worth it anyway

Well, you got the best looking phone on the market.How is the audio on built in speakers? Everybody says it's awesome! What do you think about it?

Does anyone know where i could buy a new power switch for my YPG1, my current one has gotten crushed and quit working but everything else works. i need to find a replacement one to replaced the crushed button with.
please help i looked everywhere.
PS. if anyone has one with a working board that they are willing to give me that would work to. I rely on this device for work.

Is your device rooted or modified?
If not you could give it to a Samsung Service Center and they will repair it.
If your device is rooted just try giving it to a service center, in most cases they will
repair it also, because the most people at Samsung aren't checking your firmware.

Ok, I have been everywhere and looked through everything and keep running into a wall, hard. I am not new to rooting Android devices and am comfortable doing so without and issues. However, I recently lost access to my computer and most any other computer around me. I know there are a few apps out there that one can use on their android device (smart phone, tablet) that can root their device. However, I am unable to find them to use them.
I am coming to you good folks at XDA for assistance with this. Also, my tablet just recently, like 2 or 3 days ago, updated.
Any assistance with this would be great. I just hope someone can help me out with this.

I've owned an A200 for close to a year and have never seen a root method anywhere that didn't require a PC. I think all the old 1 click apk files only work for Gingerbread. I hope you find something to work but it's not likely.

My little brother recently passed away (he was 29....) and we are wanting to get any pictures we can and make sure we take care of his estate/accounts. I have found the "Dr. Fone" software by wondershare but it looks super sketchy and i've yet to find any confirmed cases of anyone using it successfully to remove the lock screen on a device. It is completely stock and is still on Marshmallow (the Nougat update is pending). If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated

So sorry to hear a bout your lose. I know the pain, brother died 8 months ago And sister few years back. Rip to your brother and my siblings.
But back to your question. Did you try taken out sd card? Most stock and 3rd party cam apps go to pictures on sd. I am sure you google already. As you can see there isn't many options for lockscreen bypass.
Later on today I will test that program out for you and report results.

Question could he call google and supply proof of relationship and death of owner. Then google would provide password? Doubt it, just curious.
