Just had a notice on my phone for a 45.5 Mb OTA update.
It is the MDA89D to MDB08K update, will see if I can get links from logcat etc.

It did not unfortunately, it just said System Update and no details. Anyway it has done and now optimising apps etc, so should not be much longer then can see if any revision changes etc
I've not noticed any changes since updating - other than a newer kernel build (8/10). The camera app still seems quite buggy - that's the only issue I've experienced so far so can't really comment on anything else.

Your camera app too? FFC seems a bit shifty, the back camera seems fine. SlowMo video seems to freeze up though at times. Also is your front facing camera fairly blurry on taking photos? Mine is.

It's mainly SlowMo videos that struggle - sometimes they crash the camera app or don't play back correctly. My front facer is perfect, I'm really impressed with it.
Possibly one of those monthly security patches? I hope they release images for each one cause I haven't taken an OTA since... *thinks*... *thinks harder* Holy crap, I don't think I've ever taken an OTA.
Legit, I was in Verizon aka no update land from LG chocolate to droid after droid to Galaxy S3 all of which on cm and rooted etc. Since I've had MotoX 1 and Nexus 5 and 6 in T-Mobile, all rooted stock various kernels. Fastboot FTW.

It isn't... I applied the OTA and the monthly security patch is still October.
I would really appreciate it if someone could pull the OTA. On my 6P's first boot it downloaded the OTA right away. But when I went to install it it never rebooted or installed. Thanks in advance.

Same issue here. I'm wondering if they pulled the update.
I got mine last night, took a while
I must say although the UI is very snappy, anything involving app updates seems to take forever. Anyone else think this?

yup, it might also have new radios. i can't wait to take it apart. ^_^
Wow! That took forever for global abilities become official. At least it's a newer version than the current global ruu.
Here's hoping everyone takes the upcoming update and some roms are re-based (if needed). now that this global ota is receiving a full release it should make things a bit easier. I still cant believe in the threads there are people still running gingerbread firmware.
Does that mean we'll be seeing better data support when on other networks?
It'll be better when they drop kernel source for the global update. I can't believe this OTA is coming nearly 10 months after the leak. Completely ridiculous. What incredibly valuable piece of crap did Big Red have to add to the mix to delay this?

Got my update about an hour ago. It was over 200 megs.
What all was updated? Still no clear list online anywhere.
Any one know where to manually download the update as I no longer have Verizon service.
Were any of you who got the update running the global leak? I'm running it and not sure if I should expect to receive the OTA.
I have the Global leak and haven't seen the update yet...
My gut tells me I won't, so I will have to wait until it gets release here somewhere.

I noticed a weird new keyboard installed called "DioPen IME" after I did the update. I think it has handwriting recognition and some Asian language integrated (no offence).
Also just noticed that my screen dims after 15 seconds of not touching it no matter what my display settings are..kind of like during long moments of inactivity during navigation, weird...ok figured it out, it's only when the battery is under 20%.

I'd be very curious to hear from anyone trying out GSM support after this update. Will a tmobile sim work in the phone (give voice, txt, data without special mods to the rom)?

Is there any real compelling reason to install the B148 update? The camera already seems fine to me without the update. It's operating smoothly and I get great battery life. Why do it?

If there is another update that isn't a major one (KK? fingers crossed) then it might require being updated to B148 first. Just a guess. It is a stretch to think we'll get another update to this phone though but we can't rule it out now that Huawei has come through with this minor update. It might be that since they mentioned a 4.4 KK update is coming when the phone came out that this update we just got would be a test run for the whole process. That's thinking optimistically. Realistically, I have no idea but would be happy if we continued to get updates (any at all) on our HAM2's.
Low light photography . Usually when you take a pic in low light it tends to darken the background too much . This update helps in that department . Plus , these updates provide an overall better stability to the system , the "misc. fixes" (No detailed description) they put at the end of the description should not be overlooked . They test the device thoroughly at their office and made the small needed changes . Even though you might not think it's a lot . Always better to stay updated . If it wasn't necessary nor improved the experience they would not have pushed the update out at all . My two cents . Update !
Well I was going to put in my 2 cents but you two said it all. If you made it all the way to the XDA website and was able to register and post something onto form your more then capable of upgrading to the new SYSTEM UPDATE. Plenty of people went ahead of you already and another thread was created for that. Everyone is having success with the B418 update.
The camera was rubbish in low light, and now it runs much smoother. Not iPhone or Android flagship smooth, but good enough.
And again, everyone else said pretty much all there is to say!

Why upgrade from any software? What was wrong with Android 4.1? it runs everything. The manufacturer of the phone put in the money to update and push out the update for a reason. Not spyware. My phone has the update and i just hit the 48 hour mark and I still have 18%
Is B148 really an "upgrade"? Have any impactful improvements been noted?
If I hadn't rooted my phone I would install the update. But considering the lengthy process due to my root, I'm going to wait for the KitKat update.

Update
I know I can't prove it but I just want it to be posted that before when I was on System Software B126 MightyText did not work when the screen was off. Even when I had it on protected apps and wifi on when the screen is off while charging. I had to keep my screen awake while I was using the app. Now after the update B148 I no longer have to do that. I was also having some problems with dropbox syncing when my phone is off and that is also fixed. So the "other fixes" in the system update. The stuff that they didn't mention is the reason why you should update. Actually since I have had the update my phone has been running very smooth. Everything just works when you click it.. Weirddd....

I use Gohma 2.2 on mine so I can't speak for stock Lollipop, but I can get a nice amount of time overnight with Sleep as Android tracking running while in theater mode. I haven't checked my watchfaces so it's possible I'm still running some 4.4 watchfaces.
i've been having force closes on my watch like every other day-ish. My phone will vibrate, i try to swipe to wake and it takes a while to wake. This happened when it got updated to 5.0.
Update on my situation:
After a couple of weeks I re-imaged my phone and everything worked fine. So it must have been something either I did or a weird update. I really can't speak to what happened but I thought I would come back and at least say that a re-image of my phone fixed the issue.
I've been checking SamFirm for the nougat firmware for a few days, and I finally was able to download the official nougat firmware today. I'll be posting google drive links to odin 3.12 and the nougat firmware in case anyone wants a quick download link for the nougat firmware.

Nougat has severely diminished my device
Just a general rant, don't know if this is the correct thread for this, and not asking for assistance, just sharing my experience. I updated to official 7.0 when it was release, have been using it for few weeks. Battery life has been way worse than with 6.0.1, speaker sounds as if it is blown out. and multiple major apps crash constantly (facebook, google play music amazon app store etc). Was on beta before officail and DID NOT have these issues. None of the fixes I have searched for have worked.
Used Odin to downgrade back the other day, immediately noticed improvements in sound, after a day, battery was back to normal and apps are working without crashing.
Dont know if just me/my device, or a known issue with the official sprint release.

Thanks to the OP for posting this, as I will certainly be using it.
And to @Blkjck11, Nougat isn't perfect, and this device CERTAINLY isn't exempt. Nougat has hit my device performance HARD when using GPS, or even switching from a game to the home screen. Battery drain is a problem as well...but even after all of that...I still rather Nougat over MM. The multiwindow has been well refined, and the install/launch times for apps has improved.
Performance certainly varies between devices, and you might not be experiencing the same issues as others.

Rooted or not rooted? I think not rooted Android 7 is a lot smoother and less intensive. Plus it really comes down to how much you use the phone, what apps are running all the time in the background, etc...
But if you have gone through any steps to "modify" your install of Nougat, always interested to hear. Performance and still maintaining decent battery life is always cool.
Not rooted. Same amount of use as previously on MM just seems a touch better.

EDIT... Wrong thread answer
I tried flashing this firmware, but I keep getting an error saying that the MD5 hash is invalid for the AP file (the error message shows up when I try to load the files into odin). I have been getting this same message from the nougat firmware downloaded from multiple locations. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Thanks

Yeah can just flash the Odin files for the Marshmallow firmware. But that blanks your phone and is basically like doing a factory reset, just back to 6.0.1
Though I'm surprised that a lot of apps crashed. I'm running stock, for now, and yeah I've noticed battery life is up and down. I happened to have loaded Pokemon GO, and when I run that it just kills my battery. Of I stick with normal messaging apps, web surfing, Tapatalk, YouTube, stuff like that... I seem good. But I also am running my screen at at the 1080p mode, and turned my brightness down a bit. Also disabled all the Sprint stuff and other apps I'm not using, that I'm unable.to uninstall because they are bloatware.
I have noticed my phone getting warm randomly sometimes, reboot usually fixes it (unless I'm gaming). But battery life still seems decent. Then again that's coming from a rooted version of this firmware as well.
Though last thought I can think of, is that I did a fresh clean install of QC1, and then upgraded to QD2. But upgraded always seem to have lingering issues though. But since on QD2 I think battery is better than QC1, so we'll see.

Is it possible to roll back incremental updates? ie from QE1 back to QD2. My wife's phone received the QE1 OTA update and since then her wifi has not worked and it also says CUSTOM rather than OFFICIAL. I have not rooted the phone. I really don't care about the CUSTOM part, just trying to get the wifi working again. I've tried factory resets and loading the QE1 firmware via ODIN and resetting the device completely with that method at least 3 times now. Still no dice. I'm thinking it's a software issue and maybe rolling the update back to a prior version might fix it? Sprint won't work with me because they say KNOX was tripped because I rooted it (which I didn't...).

So you`d rather get a quick and buggy update then a stable one a bit later. I choose the latter one, besides that my phone is running great on 10F tbh and have no issues.

I rather informative communication versus the ambiguous responses received thus far. Not sure why people who allegedly have the update are commenting as if to discredit that there is something gone wrong with others, not to mention I was just on a 40 minute call with both companies and there is a known issue they aren't sure when the update will be "available" even though the website says it's available as of May 15th -
Don't worry. 10h seems to be a little wonky sometimes. Maybe it's just me but the only way to see is with a new update
