For those of us that have been lucky enough to get the deal with the 200gb SD card, are you keeping it or selling it? It's worth quite a bit. With the cloud storage these days I don't see the point in keeping it... The phone has 64gb by itself....

Keeping. Need it for my DAP.

Now that you mention it, this isn't a bad idea at all. I have a couple cards lying around from 2 to 16 gb that i have never even halfway filled up. I can use the money way more than the card. Yay yeah.

Wouldn't get your hopes up too high. That is a Sandisk Ultra. I HIGHLY doubt Sandisk is giving LG the same version of the card. On the promo site, it shows a picture and that card clearly says For LG Mobile - my guess is its performance will not match the Ultra series... but it will still probably fetch a decent price if you wanted to sell it.
Sandisk I would sell. I'm using Samsung Pro SD card, very fast no issues. it's "only" 64GB but I got it for $45 on Amazon. Actually I got it for free....long story. The High on Android guy on YouTube mentioned that Sandisk SD cards fail at a higher rate than the Samsung SD cards. Sandisk must have looser quality controls on the production line.
I plan to sell the Sandisk card and extra battery too. Just buy a spare battery without the charging cradle and fast charge the battery at work with the battery in the phone until Caseology or Anker make a V10 2 battery pack bundle with wall charger for like $30-40. Can't be too long a wait.. Caseology and Anker are probably working 24/7 around the clock to manufacture as there will be a ton of people buying this phone just for the removable battery now that it's really the last phone to offer this at the premium phone level. And at this point in the year 2015 there is no reason why 3,000 mAh batteries should be more than $10. It's old tech now. My Note 3 does not have fast charging and the aftermarket batteries charge to 100% in the phone via the USB 3.0 plug in under an hour.
sell? no way. im giddy having that much storage. I have Terrabytes of music, movies, and tv.

I too have a Samsung 64 GB Pro SD card. Unless the 200 GB Sandisk is noticeably slower, I'll probably use it instead and keep the Samsung as a backup. Although I never keep enough content on my phone to get anywhere near using the 128 GB combined storage I have right now... so maybe I should just sell the Sandisk card, lol.
I honestly don't know what to do with the SD card myself. I haven't made a dent in the 64GB card I have in here now.
If you have no use, sell them while they are worth something. Won't be long before they go down in value.

Note on the LG's promo site it said the bundle (sd card + battery) is worth over $300, so the sd card can't be that bad...
It's expensive because it's 200gb...its a SanDisk, I prefer Sammy, but they'd be my 2nd choice.

SD to MicroSD/TransFlash Card Converter Module

___might take some riggin' but sounds like it has possibilities!
I don't have the capability to try either of these (long story, involves an ex and online purchases ), but I'm sure someone either has or is willing to give it a shot!
Very interesting...
With this oversized battery cover for my extended battery I could see a useful hiding spot for that micro SD to SD converter...
Still not brave enough to disassemble my $300 phone.
I do like the idea of the SD adapter and extended battery and cover. I doubt you'd have to disassemble the phone to pull it off, just shave off a bit of the extended battery cover and route the ribbon cable into it and slap it back together.
Don't know if the dream would support the transfer speeds, but a 150x full size SD would be sweet.
FM transmitter would be nice, except all the frequencies are used up in this area.
Would there be any benefits from having a regular SD card though? I thought that a class 6 microsdhc is just as fast? They're about the same price, too.

That is the question. Class 6 is the highest rating, which is supposed to denote a minimum of 6MB/sec write speed. A Wikipedia article says class 6 = 40x.
Some full size cards claim to be faster than that. Kingston manufactures one that claims 120x speed. I wouldn't expect triple speed, but it would be fun to test.
This is all assuming that the adapter will work, and that the i/o in the phone can keep up.
With a full size SD card you could use a eyefi card.

Ordered one of those ^^^ earlier this week. I'll review it once it comes in.
Im looking to score a mhl/hdmi adapter for my rezound to stream netflix/HBOgo/ HD movies I have on my SD card to my HDTV.
Anyone here have experience doing this? Hows the performance and video quality?
I've read that the phone has to power/run two displays(the Rezound's screen & the hdtv) so im thinking performance will likely suffer running HD movies as I've read threads on other forums saying that playing games/emulators on MHL are pretty much unplayable with pretty craptastic framerates.
Just want to verify before I go and spend some $$$ on a cable I'll possibly never use. Thanks.
Edit: Whoops thought I posted this in Q&A. Sorry mods. Please move if you can.
Hbogo is blocked on the mhl port for me. Also, the adaptor I got only charges at usb rates so keep that in mind when selecting one. I was in the middle of an nba game when it died. Scared me cuz I thought the phone died from getting too hot cuz it wouldn't t turn back on.

You got it right, both screens are always on when running hdmi. Also, only sense 3.6 roms got mhl working for now.
As for the performance, no it ain't affected but battery is

Not all mhl models actually work. I use this one from amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006V7F380
along with this charging cable
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004GF8TIK
The phone can run a bit hot but it works.
I usually lower the rezound screen brightness in mx player, and also put the phone into airplane mode. both seem to keep the battery temperatures lower.
Thanks for the replies and tips.
So what im getting here is that battery still drains while running hdmi even though it is plugged in to a usb power source because it only charges at usb rates. I can live with that as I already slapped an Extended battery on my rezound and it lasts me all day easily with heavy usage and 4g.
Only thing that worries me is the phone getting hot. I've never really had problems with my rezound getting hot but i can see that running hdmi and the screen being on will put some stress on the battery. Not to mention i'll probably be streaming 4g and running hdmi at the same time!
I've got a 64gb Micro sd card coming in soon so i'll probably just take some movies with me instead of streaming if it becomes a problem.
I found this mhl adapter on Ebay for $7. Might just try that since i already have a micro usb and hdmi cord.

And the cheap one I got for 5 bucks is flawless.

Congrats on getting a good one. I have seen in multiple threads of people having problems with some of the cheaper versions. Five bucks isn't much, but neither is 35 for an HTC 12 pin one that charges your phone at 1 amp while using it. To each there own. Getting a cheap one off the net, paying shipping, and then buying another one makes some people upset . I was just trying to present my experience. If I was looking into performance like this thread suggests, I would take the one that charges faster, and doesn't need a power supply even if it cost 30 dollars more. To each their own....

I don't see it mentioned in the forums, other than people complaining about the storage capacity of our phone. I went ahead and ordered an adapter cable and a 64gb usb drive. Plugged the drive into the adapter, the adapter into the phone...waited a few seconds for the phone to create a couple of folders on the drive, and voila! 58GB free space. To op check it I loaded up a couple of movies and they played great.
The only flaw I found was when you unmount the drive it just sits there, and when you remove it the widgets on your home screen crash. No idea why it would affect your widgets but oh well it works great for movies and that's about the largest file you'll ever use on the phone.
And files transfer off the phone onto the drive with astro as well.
I don't know why this hasn't been mentioned much, but it works, now people can stop complaining about storage.
If there are any differences between cables, here's what i used:

I think any usb drive will do, mine was formatted as exfat. NTFS will not work.

I think you overpaid. I got 3 from Hong Kong for like 83 cents each. They work perfectly.

I considered getting some of the cheaper ones, but I just got this one to get the free shipping and hoping that it wouldn't crap out on me. I'm in Hawaii so shipping is stupid expensive, it's worth it to get over the super saver shipping hump!
Does your phone do the crashing widget thing when you unmount and disconnect?
Lo,
I'm not too bothered about a usb 3 dock as they are a bit pricey. Anyone know of a decent dock stand cheapish in the UK?

I bought one for my Note 2 off of eBay. It includes 2 USB ports on the back, an SD card reader on the side, and a micro-sd card reader on the other side. I paid less than $10 shipped for it. I've placed my Note 3 on it and it works pretty well. I would need to place a little something behind my Note 3 for it to stand without putting pressure on charging port of the phone. I haven't bothered using it, as I like the fast charge with the included charging cable. I did try it out though when I first got my phone, and it does work.

The G3 still ticks all the boxes for me: SD card access, wireless charging, and replaceable batttery. I just went onto Fleabay and got a refurb for around 100 bucks (my old one refused to read SD card or OTG USB).
