ROM Sizes

I am wondering why there is so much different between rom size of CyanogenMod 7 & MIUI as compare to other roms. These two roms are max of 110 mb where as other custom roms are 250MB to 330 MB even stock is around 300MB.
I know there are no Google apps on those two roms but that doesn't make much difference.
Any one can explain this.
Its because Sammy are bloated because all their proprietary apps.

Technology Evolves, Android Evolves.
HydrOG3N is THE Revolution.
Think about it.
CyanogenMod is a STOCK android Rom built in with no apps. MIUI runs on CyanogenMod's base so its basically the same.
Samsung based roms comes with a lot of built in software including Kies Air, AllShare, TouchWiz interface, Camera apps, etc. This costs memory, and a lot of it too.

Basically cyogenMod and mui are stripped roms in which you customs with what ever apps.
Other roms are stock roms with common apps added.
Custom roms are stock roms with personalized tweaks and custom themes added for you.
I always freeze the Samsunng bloatware anyway applications like KIES are crap anyway same as most of the bloatware.

[Q] Android Equivalent of Jailbreak Tweaks

I'm fully aware of the jailbreak tweaks which are available for iOS and I was wondering what are the Android Equivalents for these tweaks ?! Their is a jailbreak tweak called BiteSMS which is a handy tweak which lets the user reply to SMS without leaving the current app by having the message displayed in a small box but their is an app on the Play Store called SMS Popup which more or less achieves the same purpose but without the need for root. I like to think their are a number of jailbreak tweaks whose Android equivalents don't require the handset to be rooted because of the open nature of Android.
My question is, Can anyone please name these tweaks and handy apps ?! I'm a fan of Android although if I ever buy an iPhone I would have to jailbreak it so I could live with it.

[Q] creating a pre-configured image to deploy on other devices

we are about to roll out approx 100 Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 devices.
we are looking for a way to configure one device to the way we want it, with a couple of non play store apps and various restrictions and settings pre-configured, and then create an image of that so we can then use it to install on the rest.
is that at all possible?
no-one?

How to use Android OS just for playing video and music?

Hi dears,
It's my first post here and I'm very excited about this
I have more than 15 years experience in programming and I developing Android Apps since 3 years ago.
In my new job in a company, we have devices that produce in China. This device is an android tablet just like as other android tablets. We have some apps that just play music and video from our servers for our customers in free and paid mode.
Now we think that maybe it's better if we make a custom Android OS for our tablets that just have our apps and nothing more. And even users can not install new apps or change settings or other customization on our tablets.
Now I want to know is it possible with creating a new ROM or I must be worked deeply on android os and what do you think in general?
From where I can start and what's the roadmap for this project?
Thanks in advanced,

Samsung Galaxy tab S6

Why did you root the tab S6? Considering there is no way to use substratum as Samsung themes is needed for it to work but it isn't supported on the tab S6 by Samsung.
Adaway works.
Titanium backup works.
Remove bloatware sure.
I haven't rooted yet due to substratum not working and there is only 1 custom rom available.
Freedom. Freedom to do what I want with all those (for me, 214 and counting) privacy-abusing 'system apps' that I don't want tracking me and stealing my personal information.
Search this forum for 'bloatware removal' if interested.
