PLEASE do not respond with all of the methods listed here. I have tried them all. USB debug with the download this, unzip that, com port 41, towelroot, kingo, stumproot, framaroot, usb methods, one click apk's etc.... you name it, I HAVE TRIED IT... no success... I am unfortunately stuck on verizon's WONDERFUL new jail cell of a software, android 5.1.1 otherwise known as the dreaded VS98535B.. I cannot figure out how to root, downgrade, flash or anything. I will attach a screenshot of the software 411 with this thread. ANY IDEAS are very much welcome and appreciated...
Also having the same issue with my LG tablet as well (fortunately it's not a verizon product). The tablet is the LG V700 Gpad 10.1. I will also attach a screenshot of its' software info as well. cannot figure out a root for it either and have employed all of the above mentioned methods.
What really sucks, both the phone and the tablet were rooted before the upgrades rendered them paperweights...
HMM, can't attach images.... info for each device is as follows:

AGAIN, ANY help at all rooting both devices would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
Also, why would stumproot tell me my tablet IS rooted when every root checker and mods say otherwise? and, What the heck does "modified" mean under "Software status"? My G3 says modified.

i saw this when you posted in xda assist the other day, unfortunately, im not allowed to post there.
your assumptions are wrong, a quick browse of the verizon g3 general forum would have resulted in all the needed info to downgrade from 35b. after which, you can use any of the working roots for whatever version you go to.
Also, it says modified because just the act of trying to root 35B modifies it even though it's not successful.

What I have here is a rooted to CM9 LG L3 E400 and I want to unroot it, or in other words return to stock, and I humbly ask for your help. Info about OS:
Android version: 4.0.4.
Baseband version: LG-E400-V10d
Kernel version: 2.6.38.6-CM [email protected] #1
CyanogenMod version: 9-20130714-NIGHTLY-e400
Build number: cm_e400-userdebug 4.0.4 IMM76L eng. jenkins.20130714.140630 test-keys
It needs to be unrooted because this OS has a few issues. One of those issues is that the device doesn't allow USB Mass Storage mode to be selected in order to connect with a computer. Also, the files in SD Card can't be accessed via device or computer (strangely though, the photos and videos are accessible via gallery). I've searched all over internet and I've always found some broken links in unroot guides, making those guides unusable. If you could help me out with this, I would be very grateful.
Hello guys, A while back I bought this tablet Its branded "NozaTech" but over time its become sluggish and seems to be infected with advertising and some sort of malware.. Its even at the point where applications keep crashing and google play wont install anything else. I think it was shipped with a dodgy ROM, How would I go about finding what custom ROM that is compatible with this device? as I think it needs a complete wipe and a new spark of life. Also how would I go about installing it?

Find your device thread on xda, all supported roms for your device would be listed there
I'm new to the forums, though I did look around for a similar issue before registering to post this. Hope this isn't redundant!
Anyway, down to brass tax: I have an SCH-1545 from Verizon, and at one time had Hyperdrive 20 running which required the use of Safestrap. For a number of reasons I eventually went back to stock rom and being new to Android may have may a few crucial errors, though I haven't bricked my phone. I believe I've somehow flashed an improper stock rom, even though it does 'work' for the most part. The only problems are a few GUI bugs, mostly delays when using the keyboard, and the fact that when I try to update to Lollipop from the popup that incessantly invades my homescreen it fails and boots back into 4.4.2.
If anyone has any ideas or knows what I should do, PLEASE ask me any other information you need and help me sort this out.

If your phone doesn't update to lollipop then you are very lucky man. You should never update to lollipop because your bootloader will be even more locked with "Secure Download". This is mainly why i hate lollipop and all samsung lollipop smartphones.
Your Kitkat is very good i'm sure you do not want bugs so you would not like to update to lollipop.

Hey XDA,
I'm new to this site, but I have few questions and I am needing some help on rooting my phone.
I've been trying for the past month now to find out how to get Pokemon GO to work with hacks, and I just can't seem to get it to work with anything, without rooting. So that leads me to the point that I'm at now with rooting and using Xposed.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4, it has a Verizon carrier and it's running Android 5.0.1 with baseband of "I545VRSGPL1."
I'm needing someone who can give me exact details on how to root my phone, get xposed running and working on it, and being able to use Pokemon GO hacks. It's at the stock ROM right now. Thanks in advance!
P.S. I'm gonna post my full phone details below (from about phone)

You'll more than likely get a better answer in one/both of the following threads:

I need the stock recovery of the s4 i545 GPL1 EMERGENCY
Hi,
I am stuck right at the beginning with the attempt to install LineageOS on my LG G2 mini, because I am not able to get root. My conclusion is that I am failing because my Stock-SW Version seems different from what is captured in this forum mostly.
Device: LG-D620r
Software platform: Android 5.0.2
Software version: V20e-232-03
Build-Number: LRX22G
It's an Austrian, Telering-branded LG G2 mini.
Of course I've tried the path described in here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/root-root-g2-mini-lollipop-t3123652 even trying that attached kingroot.apk, which in the end failed with "no methods found", I guess because of this exotic SW-Version.
Next thing would be to load one of the patched bootloaders here https://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/bootloader-d620-d618-t3127819, but I would not know which version to pick. But without root I can't proceed anyway(?)
Would be nice if anyone of you has ideas on how to achieve this. Maybe I am just missing something obvious?
For my background: I have installed and troubleshooted LineageOS before on an Moto G (thea) which was of course way easier
downgrade to kitkat, everything will be easier. @psycoy
Hey @psycoy, I just did that and along with some other issues it finally worked. So, a late thank you, it was appreciated!
