With the V10, I have noticed that the cell signal strength displayed on the dashboard of the car does not update once the phone's display goes off. It doesn't update until the next time the screen is turned on.
My HTC One M9 updated that signal strength continuously. I hope LG updates the phone with that feature.

I have this problem on two Atrix phones. They connect fine to the car (Audi S8) bluetooth but as soon as the phone screen sleeps, the signal bars displayed on the car screen don't change; they just freeze. It doesn't matter what the real signal level is, the display on the car screen stays frozen until I push the power button to wake the phone screen and it immediately shows the correct signal bars.I called Motorola support and I was transferred to level 3 and the technician told me he has an Atrix and it has the same problem and there is no known solution. He then suggested that I post this question.
Has anyone seen this or it is just me ending up with two bad phones?
How is the GSM/3G reception on the phone?.
Does it suffer from any signal loss due to any death grip?.
I previously had a HTC Incredible S which suffered from Incredible signal loss when i used to type sms in portrait mode while my fingers covered the lower back of the phone.....also lost wifi signals in portrait mode...
Is there any issue with this phone's signal strength GSM + Wifi(in landscape) when ur fingers are placed over the transparent strip?
This can be checked from the menu *#*#4636#*#*
Pl. post ur test results so that all can benefit...
A few reviews tried it and concluded there isn't any death grip-like effect at all. You can't actually touch the antenna since it's built into the transparant strip, so you can't really speak of a 'death grip'.
The iPhone 4 had one because you could directly touch the antenna.
. I noticed that while my phone ( today.. ) was sitting on the desk next to me, the signal drops. Im on 4g no problem , full signal on Eclipse CDMA rom. I have an xt912 model.
Its weird, the signal will drop from blue 4g, to gray full signal no 3g or 4g. Then in about 15 seconds the 4g icon will pop back up. And while it looses the 4g icon, the screen turns on and then turns off once it connects again.
Any idea on whats going on?

I recently purchased a 2ng Gen Moto E (Verizon Prepaid) with the intent to use it on Ting following the instructions in the thread below. The process worked, but I am now having an issue with cell network connectivity while wifi is turned on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/how-to-verizon-moto-e-2015-gsm-network-t3098953
If my wifi is turned off, or I am out of range of a known network, my phone connects to 4GLTE with a strong, steady signal. If my wifi is turned on and connected, my network seems to cycle between G, E, and no signal. This constant switching really drains the battery, and I'm worried I could miss a call.
Does anyone know how I could fix this issue?
So...I've switched to a Samsung but still used my OnePlus X as a baby monitor receiver. At night, the wifi is essentially constantly working.
Suddenly one day the connection became exceedingly weak. I need to be standing in front of my router and even then I only get 2/3 strength.
Before, I also noticed my bluetooth radio dying gradually. Now, it can't even pick up a bluetooth signal unless it's placed right beside the earbud.
So....does wireless radios die like this? I would not have expected a non-moving part to "wear out" or die....
