What doesn't work yet
you tell me
Please note that F2FS and another features of the chrono kernel installer aren't supproted by a ROM.
To have them you need to install a standalone version of chrono kernel.
Here's how to do so: put the file omni_4.4.4.cpio.gz in a kernel, replacing a file osfiles/4.4.x/4.4.x.cpio.gz. Then flash it after ROM installation.
Download
OmniROM (KK)
Rooting
Since Omni ROM doesn't itself include root, you should install it manually.
Download it from chainfire's site and flash via recovery.
Installation
install ROM first
install gapps if needed (search another KK threads)
install root

I'd like to ask something..
Is that ART runtime in this rom still considered as an experimental feature?
I mean I have used kitkat rom before, and switched to ART and apparently some apps like OALD doesn't work, but it works on lolipop rom which use ART as the default runtime
Does it work only with chronokernel?
Omni support themes?

No, it doesn't support themes. Alternatively, you can install xposed + xthemer.
@greeceeeee, it likely won't work on kernels that use cm11 ramdisk.
@junnickbefore14, on 4.4.4 ART is still not fully working(not every app works).
Get the message "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed E:Error in /storage/sdcard1/omni-4.4.4-20151106-codina-HOMEMADE.zip (Status7) E:Installation aborted." ZIP downloaded again,the same.Have been on CM11 30/07/2015 STABLE/FINAL with reparted storage before.Any idea?

Which recovery you're using? Try TWRP 2.8.6.0.
Yes. OK with Twrp 2.8.6.0.
I tried 2 times with twrp 2860, install successful but it's stuck on boot..
Edit: Now I installed Vanir and then Omni and it works
Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk
O.K. with TWRP 2.8.6.0 Installation works!!
I've tried installing with chrono 2.24.7, TWRP 2.8.6 and Vanir, but I get error status 7. Also another user from Spanish forum tells me he tried all this and always gets stuck when installing.
I just told how I installed it, Vanir is not installation step You did wipe everything before installing rom? It boots fine and all, the only annoying thing (for me) is missing torch..

Thanks. I did full wipes. I've tried with Vanir because that's my current rom.
A few days ago I was using CM11 Ace2Nutzer, and tried installing with same issue.
With Sergeyl's CM12.1 I had the same problem, but I installed Polish Vodka CM12 and then it let me install Sergeyl's.
And if you odin flash stock » kernel 2.24.7 » full wipe » vanir » kernel 2.24.7 » twrp 2.8.6 » full wipe » omni ?
Edit: I used 080115 Vanir rom version, btw, although I don't know if that's important..

I tried to install OmniRom yesterday via TWRP 2.8.6 and I had a nice brick which didn't let me boot to recovery. As I made Memory Repartitions, I had to Odin flash Russian GB and then JB stock...
Thanks again, but I need something easier, too many hours spent flashing yesterday. :good: Good to know you use 080115, I'll see if flashing this helps.
PS: My phone doesn't seem to get along with TWRP. With Sergeyl CM12.1 I had also a nice brick and had no chance but flashing GB-JB via Odin too. So I preffer using CWM.
I had the same problem, I tried to install OmniRom via TWRP 2.8.6. Installation ok, but stuck on GTI 8160 logo and didn't let me boot to recovery.
After the restoration with Odin I also wanted to try TC omnirom and fine.
I am taking error status 7 during flash, how we are fixing that?
Finally I have installed Omni on my device.
1- Install Vanir
2- Omni 4.4.4 Teamcanija
3- Omni 4.4.4 Chrono
Wifi didn't work, I don't know why. Ace2Nutzer 8/11 kernel fixed WiFi.
I've tried installing Xposed, but I always get error message "your device is not compatible" or kind of.
Also screen bottons leds are always on. Maybe that's my fault cause I'm missing something as I've used the rom little time.
Generally speaking, I like this rom, smooth and fast (I can't tell about battery drain). Looking forward new rom update.

Nope ! I did a full wipe and after installing the Rom and the pico gapp I rebooted the device. Got a message "upgrading android" and after 3 of ... it strated to reboot again and again. I let it reboot for 21 times till I decided to kill it and put back V2 of your ROM
Unless this ROM includes the CM12 firmware upgrade, maybe you should link it to them as an one-time upgrade as long as they stay on CM12 based ROMs.
EDIT: yep it boots up well with the cm12 firmware upgrade by martin_ro.

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

You tell...
How to flash:
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
Requirements:
Make sure you have been on latest Sony STOCK at least once!!!
Custom recovery (TWRP)
Clean flash if coming from another ROM (no dirty flash)
.
Don't do it if you don't know it
Don't freak out if you have a black screen for a minute or so after Sony splash on first boot!
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows Sony AOSP source (3.10) with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
NO OTA ON UNOFFCIAL BUILDS
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

Important note:
Before flashing this ROM
If you have not already:
Flash unmodified (not prerooted(!)) latest Sony-Stock 5.1.1 / 14.6.A.1.236 or tripple-check that you had it flashed at least once before.
You do not need to be / come directly from stock to use this.

I have converted my ext sdcard into semi portable storage as you can see above.
Benifits (8gb adopted storage+21Gb Portable Storage) out of 32GB ext sdcard Class 10
1. i have 8GB (internal)+ 8GB(external) now for apps to move around
2. i can still remove the sdcard and transfer files directly to the sdcard 2nd partition of 21GB from PC
i followed the following guide by Sam Liddicott here is the link.

Can this be flashed using TWRP 2.8.7.0? You know, by those who can't get the new recovery partition?
wow android M..
Phone wont boot
flashed the rom and gaaps and right after i hit reebot now onTWRP, it blackout and never comes out of it! What am i supposed to do it? Have to flash the stock rom using flash tools and ****! But why didn't it work? :/
Instructions said, dont freak out if it blacks out but it wont boot at all again!
I can get this ROM boot only without flashing gapps.
EDIT: i tried flashing the gapps you suggested after flashing the rom (without reboot device), then it will went to optimizing apps, and everytime it optimizing the google play services, it will blacked out and auto shutdown the device. Any idea about this? I'm sure i wipe all 4 partition (system, dalvik, cache, data) and using the TWRP 3.0.0 recovery.
2nd EDIT: i kept turn it on until the optimization is finished, then the rom work flawlessly again, thanks for your hardwork @op

It blacks out on first boot after Sony-Splash for up to a minute (or so).
Did you dirty, or clean flash? This needs a clean flash (first time)
You surely had the latest stock rom at least once flashed before? You do not need to be / come directly from stock to use this
And used TWRP3.0 from new recovery Partition?
Also you need an unlocked bootloader.
What gapps did you use?
Use a small (like mini or something) GAPPS package from openGapps or use theese: https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/semdoc/AicpMM/SlimMMGapps

So far so good man, everything works great, only camera as stated, no biggie at all....Sim card/WiFi were my only concerns, great work!!
Edit: DT2W works great, didn't know it would come with it.

Build from 26.02. Very good. The problem - if a call goes out the screen and you can not turn it on again. Only a reboot.

If you have had flashed the latest stock-rom at least once, and use recovery on dedicated recovery partition (simple use twrp-3.0.0) you can flash this no problem!
In german:
Wenn du mindestens einmal auf der neusten Stock-ROM warst, und Recovery auf der damit neuen Recovery partition hast (einfach TWRP-3.0.0) ist es kein problem:

Yea I have that bug as well, hope it gets fixed in future builds. Phone will come back only when the call has ended. Workaround for me was to go to Settings<Buttons and set Power Button to end Calls.

Hast PM, danke!
Thank you for the great ROM
I only have a problem with the SD card.
When I try to format the card, it gets stuck at 20% and then times out giving me a TimeOutException error. However, formatting the SD card to use as portable storage works.
toast message:
java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException: Thread Binder_7 gave up waiting for partitionPrivate after 180000ms
I could not reproduce any issues when calling, but well, i have been building pretty much all weekend and testing stuff...
Will post screens and FAQ in a few days too.
Anyways, I'm proud to announce that my sources have been pushed to AICP, and offcial nightlies will start soon, when I get a few more issues resolved!

First time installing Resurrection Remix v6.1.0 to your Galaxy Core Prime, or coming from another ROM:
Install TWRP Recovery MUST USE VERSION 3.2.1-0 OR ASSERT ERROR OCCURS
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo (Vol-up+Home+Power)
Do a Nandroid backup! (Optional and only if you weren't running TouchWiz before)
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system partition)*
Install the ROM from sdcard using TWRP Recovery
Optionally install the Google Apps ( get it here: https://opengapps.org ) (pico GAPPS recommended) (*)
Upgrading from an older build of this ROM
Wipe system partition, wipe dalvik-cache but not data partition
Optionally install Google Apps (GAPPS) (link above)
[NOTE]:
If you're about going to install GAPPS with ROM, install it right after you've installed the ROM, else you have to do a factory reset if you've booted the ROM first
This is Android Go build, which is "optimized" for devices with lower than 1GB RAM, so don't expect full features like older Android versions [should we need ordinary build also?]

You shouldn't get an error 7 if you are using latest twrp.
Make sure it is twrp 3.2.x and it is error 7.
If it is , then to fix it remove assert from RR zip/meta-inf/com/google/android/updater-script
Flash it again

Thanks hash for all your work. Still rocking your nougat RR here. Might as well mark that
RR nougat thread as stable instead of beta. Waiting for a slightly stable build of this ROM.

First time installing crDroid to your Nexus 6, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running the latest TWRP Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash gapps
6) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 21.4 or later. (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Thank you soo very much! You guys are awesome! Still on Crdroid 4.7.2 and have been looking at other roms for the last few days, I thought for sure Crdroid was dead for the N6 and it was time to move on lol. Got work in a few hours but with the next 2 days off I cannot wait to do a fresh install of this baby! Thanks again for such amazing, and long time support for the old whale!
IMPORTANT:
1- There might be a ROM bug, which doesn't allow notifications in the status bar. (Notification tone and LED work)
2- This ROM is still in beta, kindly flash with caution.
I don't have have any complaint. Notification in the status bar works perfectly. I always do a clean flash with every update just to be on the safe side.
So far, everything I've tried works. 1st time, camera force closed, but was fine after reboot. Netflix working without any Magisk modules.
No problem here with notification in status bar. Many thanks and great work Dev !! :good:

I'm getting just over 5 hrs of sot so battery is good for me. I just switched over from the amazing CrDroid Pie Unofficial by @transi1 . I was using his/her build for months to much satisfaction. I assume this is going to replace the unofficials. Been running your build for 3 days and like the unofficials, its perfect for me.
@hhrokarvi Your source code links don't work. Are you really compiling from Lineage's source without any modification?

I dont usually dirty flash and when I do I mess it up. I see that you wipe everything but data but do you flash gapps with update as well or do you just flash the update without gapps?

Without GApps. For dirty flash wipe the system and cache partition, then flash the update zip and magisk if you need root, that's it.

Thank you, that worked perfectly!
new twrp recovery for shamu
3.3.1-0
Really solid ROM. Works flawlessly . Thank you.
Is there a way to hide the battery percentage on the status bar but show the percentage in the QS menu? I've seen some other pie ROMs do it and was wondering if I've missed something here. So far this is a pretty fluid ROM.
[Edit]: also issue with smart lock on body detection. When you tap on the lock icon it doesn't lock the phone. Using mindthegapps.
Thanks
