"Introducing Smart Notice" won't go away - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm using the smart notice widget on my home screen, and for whatever reason, the introductory card that explains what Smart Notice is pops up multiple times every day. Even if I tap OK or the X button, I'll still keep getting the notification for it. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a way to get it to stop?

Is no one else having this issue? Surely I can't be the only one. I've been searching for a way to fix this, but clearing the cache for the widget doesn't seem to do the trick.
Any suggestions?

Did you go into its settings and set it up? If not, try that, and also try rebooting.

And where is that file located? Does it cause any freezes or force closes?

Of course, tried clearing data, cache, dalvik, deleting it and reinstalling, cleared data in home too. Nothing has worked.. Except..

No ill effects what so ever.. Go to System/etc/mrg_default_forms/conciergeboard/card forms look for intial smart notice guide or whatever and delete the whole folder.. It's between here..

Thanks a lot! Just for reference, the offending folder's name was "initial_guide_my_concierge." For me at least, but you can modify or remove just about any card from that directory.

Yeah I made an update zip for it a few days ago just in case I need to put it back for any reason..

Make sure you read the request box, there is a small checked box on the lower corner. Don't uncheck it, then press ok.. And it should not show you it again, this is the same for all the help tips.

Mail Question

In mail (I use exchange), when I attempt to move an e-mail from my Inbox to another folder, a list of recently used folders pops up. Is there a way to delete or clear that list? Thanks!
Could you give a little more detail?
When I pick an message either open or in the Inbox (long press) and choose "Move", I get a list of all my available folders, pick one, and it moves it there.
Seems to work pretty much as expected/desired?

After you move a couple of messages, a Recently Used folders list appears at the top of your available folders list. I'm looking to clear that list. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Have you tried clearing the cache in the application -> manage menu?

I tried to do that, but Clear Cache is ghosted out. Do you know of another way to clear it? Thanks!
Barring any other route, if it's that big of a deal to you, you can always remove and readd the account. That should clear the list for you, I'd think.

Thanks... I thought about doing that, but I was looking to avoid it.
Does anyone know how to clear the mail (Exchange) cache? Mine is ghosted out. Thanks!

Today, the Clear Cache button became un-ghosted. I cleared it, but that didn't solve my problem. I guess the only way to fix it is to delete and re-add the account. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

[Q] Major ace problems

I keep getting the "Process.android is not responding" a lot and "System" is not responding too. And the phone sometimes reboots/turns off by itself. I'm running J.A.F.'s CM7.2 with the fix applied, allinone, ICS theme with animations. Governor set to SMARTASS and min cpu up to 245MHz with max at 800.
Does anyone have any idea about this? I'm starting to get these frequently.
Besides those error reports, reboots/turn offs, everything works flawlessly. I really don't know what the issue could be :/
I suggest trying a full wipe - dalvik/data/factory and reflashing without the theme. I had no problems without the theme. Don't forget gapps.
Sent from a phone with an app.

What are gapps for? I never used them or flashed them. But will do the full wipe if it happens again, already backed up all my apps.

Oh. Well the only google app I use is Gmail and it works great. Does anyone else have a problem with the laggy ass gallery? Or is it just me?
Use QuickPic and forget about the laggy Gallery!

Yeah man, I know what you mean. But Quick Pic messes up when I scroll from picture to picture. When I slide to the next image, it lags the previous one behind it and shows the next one but with the previous one chopped up behind it.
Let me take a screenshot....
EDIT: Reinstalled and there's no lag. The difference is that I took off the ICS theme. I'm not sure if the theme was the one that caused it but its not happening anymore. If it happens again, I'll post a screenshot.

I would still flash them. Those you don't use can be frozen. Some of these apps need each other to function. For instance I have been told by many people that the Market need GTalk to work. Save yourself unnecessary trouble and play it safe.

Thanks. Will flash after completely wiping phone.
EDIT: Weird, I wiped everything (Cache, Dalvik cache, Factory reset) then reflashed the rom and my phone was stuck on that ANDROID word before the bootanimation. Was I supposed to go back to CM7.1 and reflash 7.2?
I forgot to mention, I moved all the Dalvik Cache to the SD card with S2E. Think that would have performance issues?

Gallery bug?

Okay here is the problem.. A few months ago, I'm still using original FW from Samsung (GB, 2.3.3).. And out of the blue, this problem occur in my gallery apps (see the red circle in the right;when I view that image, there are nothing to display..) The annoying thing is when I delete that file, it disappear for a moment.. But when I close the gallery apps and opened it again, the files come back again
So I decided to upgrade my FW using custom ROM and rooted my phone. And voila, the annoying thing was gone.. But out of the blue again, the problem came back, and now with another one (in the past there were two, but now become three) I'm just curious how to delete this files, because no matter what, it always come back, and I can't find it either using root explorer.. I know this problem may be solved by freezing gallery via Titanium and using another gallery apps in play store.. But I just wanna use Samsung stock gallery as my image viewer.. Anyone had the same problem with me? Thanks!
sometime i have this trouble, but i replace Gallery to Quickpic and it fixed

Yeah, I did that too before.. But I still think that original Samsung stock gallery was the best image viewer for me =P
One of my friends had the same problem, but the difference is he find that weird annoying thing in the gallery folder (I didn't know which one he used.. My files or root explorer or something else like that) and succesfully delete it.. But as I mention before, I can't find it through root explorer =(
Clearing Cache might help Settings > applications> All >Gallery > clear cache.
This problems occurs sometimes Aosp Gallery too !

A factory reset is AFAIK the only thing that helps - or using an alternative Launcher like Nova or Apex.
try clearing the phone.apk data and reboot
Sent from the asylum
Data is cleared from settings/appmanager then find phone and clear data.
and reboot as slaphead said

I had this one before thinking about it, and it was my carriers voicemail that had caused the problem I think, I seem to remember phoning them and getting them to clear the call log or voicemail data, and it was sorted
Sent from the asylum
So what should I do right now ?
I'm totally confused
Btw I guess I didn't activate voicemail coz didn't use it

Check if this works:
Open Messaging>Menu>Delete Threads>Select all and Delete.
This fixed the issue for a colleague's phone. Might be a message which is stuck and not showing up in Messaging.

if you mean to delete the icon of it and drag and drop it again from apps ,
well the ANSWER IS YES i did , and i wonder the icon itself in apps menu stuck with no. 1 too like the other one
I had this and tried everything to clear it but unfortunately the only thing that worked was factory reset. Even reinstalling a later firmware didnt clear it.
Your apps are all redownloaded after thels reset, but you will lose anything saved in Your folders on the phone memory.

it doesnt show 1new message onthe lock screen but does on the home screen and when you click apps and can see all the apps
the only other option i can consider is re installing but i dont really want to do that if im honest
I had the same issue when I installed the Handcent widget and kept the stock messaging app. Here's what worked for me:
1) Go to Settings > Developer Options, and check "Do not keep activities". I'm not sure what this actually does (or how it affects other apps) so I unchecked it after it took away the message notification.
2) After a little while, the problem reappeared, so I found a free app called "SMS Cleaner Free" in the Play Store. That seemed to solve my issue permanently, as it hasn't reappeared since.
I'm not sure if one or a combo of doing both helped, but try it out and let us know.
