Multiple Wallpaper Issue - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

So, I just got the Edge Plus, and was happy with how easy it was to set up. Using same ADW launcher configuration, and multiple wallpaper for my 7 screens as I've used for my last several phones.
Them, I downloaded a trial version of the Black Theme from Samsung theme store. Once the trial period ended, I did not buy, as I didn't like the fact I could not use my wallpapers with the theme (rest of the theme was great tho...).
Now, multiple wallpaper app is not working. If I go into settings, display, wallpaper, and select multiple wallpaper it says application not installed (When problem first occurred, I un- and re-installed app, got the 'unfortunately, Multiple Wallpaper has stopped working' message. I've wipe date, and cache, and, cache partition in recovery mode. I'm puzzled, and annoyed, because it worked flawlessly the first time, and trying a theme apparently broke multiple wallpaper.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you,
New: I just tried the GoMultipleWallpaper App It is installed, I can open it, edit it, etc. But when I go to settings, display, wallpaper, and select GO multiple wallpaper it says application not installed. So it's not the app, it's the phone not recognizing the app...

Problem solved. Package disabler stopped all bloatware, including live wallpaper picker. Enabled it, all working fine now.

Could you give some info as to where Package Disabler is and how to use it to fix the problem so others can use the solution as well?

It's available in Playstore. Well worth the couple bucks it costs.

Ok, thanks. Still would have appreciated hearing what you enabled, disabled, etc. to get your problem fixed. I found a different workaround though.

I enabled live wallpaper picker, which had been disabled by the disable all bloatware function.
This was at least a year ago, so don't remember much more than that.

Ah, ok, now I see. Once you had installed package disabler, that program interfered with your wallpaper program. So once you enabled that app (or all apps, not sure), then it started working again. Or something like that. Ok, got it, that helps- thanks!

Apps have auto-installed - Lookout says there is no malware - not sure what to do.

Here is a pic of what is showing. I know that I didn't install them. They are showed up on two different panels automatically and I don't have auto-add widgets enabled. I just ran Lookout and nothing showed up as an issue. know not to open them, but how did they get there and what is the best way to get rid of them?
Thanks in advance for your help!

try scanning with sophos from play store. if they dont show, after sophos, do hard reset after reset gwallet
I have figured out that this was a result of recently installing the free version of GpsFix.
I thought my Ad Free Android app would stop that kind of thing
Steer clear of that one!

2 Small Issues

I'm experiencing two small issues with my HTC One. I'll say up front that it is stock and running the latest OTA from T-Mobile. I'm holding off on rooting as long as possible.I can say that after owning so many phones I haven't ran into issues this simple that I haven't been able to fix.
Issue #1: Homescreen
Whenever I download an app from the Play Store, it automatically adds an icon to the homescreen. Whether I'm using the stock launcher, Nova or Action Launcher. Of course I've already unchecked the box in the Play Store settings, that usually stops the icons from showing up. Unfortunately that doesn't work. I've cleared the cache and app settings for the play store and unchecked the auto add widgets box again, and still I'm getting icons.
This isn't a big issue, just a minor annoyance.
Issue #2: Gmail notifications
After updating to the newest gmail from the app store, my gmail notifications have stopped. I've tried unchecking then checking the notifications box and nothing changes. I've tried clearing app data and cache and nothing. I've tried uninstalling and using the old version and my notifications work again. But once I update to the new one again, they stop. Has anyone experienced this?

For number one there is a setting in the Play store. Deselect Auto-add widgets from the play store settings.

Thanks Steve, but I've done that. That's what has me confused. I've Deselected that box, but it still puts them on my homescreens.

Hmm, I don't have them on my home screens after install. I'll have to think about it. I recall that this setting is what stopped it for me.
Shot in the dark, but if you're using Nova Launcher it also has the same setting that can be toggled. Threw me off for a bit.

Issue 1: If you're running nova launcher their is a new option in settings that installs apps on homepage. Just toggle that off.
Issue 2 : Go ..settings> accounts & sync > Google.... And make sure gmail is checkered. Also make sure you have background data enabled. Also make sure you are not in power saver mode.

I'm also having the problem and have not found a solution yet.
The only difference for me is I have adaway installed so the webpage never gets to display. Just opens the browser.
I've tried different ad detector apps from google play, but nothing is fixed this problem. Almost ready to reflash the rom and start from scratch.
UPDATE: I fixed the problem.
When the browser hijacking occurred, it happened after installing or updating a program from any source. Google Play, Amazon or a standalone APK. That meant the virus had control over my installer.
Using Lookout's Ad Detector, I identified some potential culprits (Go Launcher EX being at the top of the list) and uninstalled them. That didn't work.
What actually fixed the problem was resetting the defaults for all the apps. Settings > More > Application Manager. Hit the menu key and choose Reset app preferences.
You don't loose any data. You just get prompted for choosing a default app when you run certain applications. I choose to use Lookout's installer instead of the default android installer when I got prompted to install updates.
Haven't had the issue since. Hope this helps.

Hi everybody. (First sorry for my english but I speak french)
This is a solution but it workn't very good.
After the downloading and installation from a update or a program, AndroƮd ask me if I want to finish the task with the default browser or Chrome ? So I can't see this f*cking page more but I must always put my choice between the 2 browsers.
I thank you for your solutions....
+1 to lookout fixing. Had the same problem, ripped it right out.

Lookout Security & Antivirus found mine in ChargeBar Free Edition,
ChargeBar came embedded in the NottachTrix 2.3.0 ROM.
I installed it (NottachTrix) and it (ChargeBar) didn't update for 3 months, then, BANG.
I've deleted ChargeBar's update, moved it from system apps to apps, deleted it, and the browser pop open 'ad.leadboltads.net' still persists.
Lookout Security & Antivirus can not find the new location of the malware, they do not have a forum.
By the very definition and behaviour, this is malware, and, ChargeBar (Asgard Casino Apps) is involved in the distribution of malware.
Asgard Casino Apps distributes 34 apps that behave this way.
They are using Google to distribute this malware, abet, that app is benign in its origin, its a pipeline, or conduit for malware.
Sneaky F##kers aren`t they.........
#1) I would like to get this crap off my phone.
#2) I need to bring this to Google's attention, and have the developer and apps banned from the Play store.
Sooo, starting with #1,,,how do I get this crap off my phone!
NOTE:
I will be linking to this post in the NottachTrix post, I'm asking the developers to to move ChargeBar from the ROM zip.

[Q] is there a way too figure out how my phone icon changed?

About 2 days ago my phone icon changed. It's like another icon is placed over it. And it looks like that on my apps page. I have searched deeply to see if this had happened to anyone else and to avail. Show box is the only 3rd party app that i have downloaded. I don't download apps that often either. Any help is appreciated!
(And apparently i can't add a photo till i have posted 10 times)
Go to configurations, apps, on all apps tab look for your launcher and tap on delete data
That worked, ty sir! It said basic launcher with 13 kb cleared it and it worked!

Google search update - launcher ads

Hello,
I want to ask if there is any method to remove this annoying ads from latest google launcher. I'm using adaway, but there is still the white rectangle.
Method other than going back to previous version and other than changing launcher.
Xposed + MinMinGuard is good at getting rid of the ad space like that, but...what? Are you sure the ad is from the Google Launcher? I read like 6 different blog sites a day, usually more than once, and have not seen anything about that, and that's something that would be on the front page with plenty of complaints. Don't use it myself because I don't see the appeal at all, but still, Google does not usually do stuff like that. HTC, on the other hand...
Btw. the app drawer changed from horizontal scrolling to vertical too, so I suppose that is from launcher.
That happened from the Google search app update, oddly enough. I couldn't find anyone else mentioning ads in the launcher. Screenshot?
I just installed it to satisfy my curiosity. I don't see any ads. There is an option enabled by default that has app suggestions... Maybe that's it?
Aww maybe that's from seach app update, I'll try to uninstall update to confirm that.

Nevermind, I found the cause of the ads - "Premium wallpapers HD" app was the problem.
