Hello,
sorry for my terrible english.
I have a Nexus 7 2013 Wifi tablet with Android 5.1.1 and a Nexus 5 with Android 6. Both stock and without root.
I have a problem:
I want to backup / save my conversations from the Skype app. With root, it would not be a problem.
But the big problem: I havent root any devices. I could root my devices, but first I must unlock the bootloader, with completly wipes my storage (and my Skype app with all conversations / chats).
I have a question, and please help me: How can I save / download / backup / extracting the Skype conversations / chats without root or unlock my bootloader? I know I can read the conversations on my Windows PC or even paste it on the Skype Windows Application.
But first I must get the App files...
How can I get these files WITHOUT root?
Adb is activated already. Encryption is on both devices deactivated.
It is really important for me, because I was dumb and formated my PC without backup my Skype files. And the conversations / chats are really really imporant (much memories and feelings...)
Please, can someone help me? :crying:
Thank you very much.
hey,
no chance without root?
Is it possible to save the Skype massages via ADB?

I was on Commrom and transferred to MIUI 1.7.3.. I backed up kakaotalk by titanium backup, but it is asking for reverification since the app recognizes my phone as another device. Currently I can't receive texts so I can't verify with sms again. How should I solve this?

I know this is a old post but, This happens to me alot also. All you have to do is download skype and well if you happen to have a online number with skype you can have the kakaotalk program call you instend of sending a text just make sure you signed in on skype on your phone. Also you could download a program called Hey Wire this program uses your data connect and provides your phone with a phone number . You can use that number it gives you to regerster your account.
I know this is an old thread, but it is literally the only thread about this topic in the entire web.
Exact same thing happened to me and it is infuriating.
How on earth does KakaoTalk know it's been moved? Logically this means it makes some file that Titanium Backup does not store. Where is this file? It must be possible to fool it into believing it is still the original installation. How?

Hi guys,
I am facing a difficult problem. I bought a HTC 7 Mozart 2 years ago. My phone has run the stock ROM (Windows Phone 7.5) since then, and I has backed up my sms messages to my PC using this tool several times.
Now I'm gonna sell this phone to one of my friends. Before saying goodbye to it, I would like to backup / transfer / upload all of my sms messages to my PC. But it seems that there is no way to do it
The above backup tool can only restore the sms messages to this phone, with its original ROM, not to any other phone or any other ROM. I know I have to find another way.
I saw a tool in the internet which allows me to backup sms messages, but it requires my phone to be interop-unlocked before it can run. I then continued searching and found this guide on how to interop-unlock my phone. But this guide requires my phone to be dev-unlocked before it can work. What a pain. I then searched for how to dev-unlock my phone, and I found this thread. In this thread, a senior member, named GoodDayToDie, said that "Currently, it pretty much comes down to "get an AppHub account" or "downgrade the bootloader, install HSPL, and flash a custom ROM." So far as I know, there are no other options currently available for HTC phones." Did he mean that I have to flash a new ROM for my phone to be dev-unlocked? If I do so I also lost all of my sms messages, right?
How can I save my sms messages to my PC before selling this phone?
Thanks for reading my questions. Any comment is very appreciated.

Hello
I have accidently overwritten some photos on my Google Nexus 7 and would love to get them back. I`ve tried various recovery programs on Windows but none of them can read my tablet in MTP mode and I can`t connect it in mass storage mode. I have read that one way is to make a VHD image via RAW of the hard drive onto the pc, where the recovery programs can access it. The trouble is I I think have to root the tablet which i don`t really want to do
1) Is there a way of creating this file without rooting?
2) Does anyone know of a recovery program that uses MTP?
3) If I really HAVE to root, whats the least destructive way of doing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Android operating system has changed the entire concept of smart phones and given it a new dimension. Now people know, how different is to use an Android smart phones than any other smart phones. With so many exciting new apps being developed every now and then, it is really very hard to lash yourself to use only one or two. Now, your Android phone is turned more like a storage device with lots of snapped pictures, audio & video files, latest exciting apps, mails, messages and so on. In situations like this, losing or accidentally deleting file is a common issue that most of the Android users face.
I used an app called Undelete once at it worked well.

AWESOME
sadly you need the image you flashed your phone with to root it (to NOT lose your data)
else you need to flash it with a rom, and use that image to root it. So you will lose your data.
Would Wechat backup its data if you choose to to the cloud? I dont see mine at the moment and im ready to root it. but because I updated over the air many many times, I dont have the image of the current OS offline. so rooting following the tutorials will result in me flashing over all private data
