I restored a Moto E LTE to stock 5.02 that had a unlocked bootloader with twrp custom recovery. Flashed it with mfastboot. Then I did a OTA system update. It rebooted to install and after that black screen. Is there any hope to unbrick with blankflash?
You didn't mention... Can't you boot into the fastboot screen? If so, I see no reason you cannot flash the factory image again. OTAs always scare me after a phone has been modified -- I've always avoided them at that point.
ya OP can you load recovery or the bootloader itself ?

Try hard resetting the phone by pressing the power button for aeound 10 secs and if that doesn't help then ,if u have enabled Android debugging in the developer options then using fastboot type 'adb reboot bootloader'. And see if u can open the bootloader!

yes follow the steps on this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2017525
(1) Flash RUU
(2) Turn Phone Completely Off
(3) Hold Volume Down Key and Power to Restart to Fastboot
(4) Reflash your Unlock Token (the original one sent from HTC during initial Unlock)
(5) Enter "Yes" at Unlock Warning - System will not Restart
(6) After Restart, Shut Phone Down Completely Again
(7) Reboot into Fastboot and Check your Lock Status - Should now say "Unlocked"
(8) Flash Unlocked Kernel & Recovery Again
(9) Profit

yes i can go in fastboot mode. but my phone is not rooted.
what shall i do ?
Rooting has nothing to do with flashing. Put it in bootloader mode and flash a recovery. Then try doing a factory reset. If that doesn't work, re-flash the ROM.

It's all in step 5 of the guide you used to root the device on the first place. No need to re-write it here.

actually i didn't understand which recovery to flash? twrp or stock ??
No offence, but you need to do more research and know how this stuff works before flashing things.
I can't answer your question because I don't know what you are trying to flash. Ask in the thread where you found it. If it's a custom ROM, TWRP Will work. If stock, stock recovery is best.
I'm signing off for a while. Good luck.

Right, because the device is rooted. The first section of the routing guide tells you the problem (modified system position) and there are threads here to solve it.

well that's why you need to unlock bootloader first before attempting to root your phone. and know what you are doing (flashing). With all that said if you can still boot to Recovery then flash this Full ROM (save this on an SD card) that should stop the bootloop and have a working ROM

if you can still access bootloader then simply just boot TWRP from it, first download this full rom and save it on your SD card
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087013219
then go to bootloader if you can still access it and boot TWRP
fastboot boot [whatever your twrp name is].img
you can download modified twrp here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=16464
then once inside TWRP just install the FULL ROM that was downloaded and saved in the SD card/

Since the bootloader is unlocked you can use this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20/how-to/guide-how-to-rollback-emui-9-beta-to-t3841687
It works for me
Replace the TWRP image on the images folder with this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/development/recovery-testing-t3783587
After flashing twrp and restarting, vol+ doesn't work, boot normal way.

Flash p20 lite twrp, of success, restart phone, when there are 3 options, press power biton to boot, press vol up 3 sec to enter erecovery etc, and do nothing for 5 secons aitomatocaly boot in System you need to press vol up 3 seconds, then, when you are in e recovery, use option emergency backup, or somthing like that, then phone will reboot to emergency System mode, press option factory reset or somthing like that, second option from top if im coretly remeber, after that you will be in twrp recovery.
So,. If want to use downy, replace downy twrp with p20 lite one, do all what downy said, but, where you need to boot in twrp, do as writed i, and continue with downy after you are in twrp. Good luck
OK, do it in same way, it works. Earlier flashed this twrp, but after few seconds phone restart to system. Working and don't know why
Did you manage to downgrade?
Yes, thanks a lot.
can anyone tell me how i can root my n200 stock rom now with android 12 update on it now i cannot get twrp on it or even just boot twrp to flash Magisks with android 11 no issue but now with 12 i can't get it done Thanks for any help
PS shoutout to whomever posted msm tool for global de2117 finally !
The fastboot boot option has been removed from the N200 Android 12 update.
I have extracted the A12 boot.img file with payload-dumper-go from the payload.img and posted it at the N200 Telegram channel while waiting for approval to post at Androidfilehost.
You can then patch it with latest Magisk and fastboot flash it.

I'm on Android 12 with the unlocked version and fastboot is still available with either:
adb reboot bootloader
From powered off, press and hold vol down, volume up and power. When the OnePlus logo appears release power but continue holding the other buttons until the fastboot screen appears.

What is C.16? T-Mobile version? With the factory SIM unlocked Android 12 my build number ends in C.15.
When would someone need to flash your boot image and what advantages would it have over the stock boot?

scanman0 means you can no longer run "fastboot boot" from the computer to send a boot image without flashing, you have to flash with "fastboot flash boot" to test a new boot image on your phone

No, unlocking bootloader gives you access to boot sector and allows you to flash boot images. Unlocking bootloader on Android 11 on this device also let you run "fastboot boot" which let you run boot images without flashing but with upgrade to Android 12 that is no longer the case.

Follow this guide, if you have T-Mobile version and need a SIM unlock, you only need to run the one line ADB command to remove qti.uim you don't need the full debloat script.
You don't need to unlock bootloader if you just want to factory reset the device. If you have T-mobile use MSM tool, otherwise you can try your luck with this guide
