Folio Case Options - Droid Turbo 2 Accessories

I got a bit attached to the Folio style of cases with my last phone so I ended up finding a cheap option for the Turbo 2.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016DF2JU4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
$10 when I purchased it.
Case is smooth leather with a removable wrist strap. Uses a fairly sturdy magnet for holding everything closed, this was an intentional coice as I was worried about having a snap that could press on the screen.
So far the inside is holding together very well. I do not use it as my daily wallet but it holds some reward cards that come out every few days. Pockets are still good after a week of owning.
The phone is held in via soft TPU liner. I am worried about it stretching over time but so far there is no sign of any loss in grip on the phone. Phone is held tight with no wiggle
The back has cutouts for the camera area as well as the microphone and "Droid" logo. TPU liner allows access to volume, Headphone, USB, and power only, no access to SD/Sim tray without removing the device.

Have you had any complains with people not being able to hear you when you're on the phone? Just bought a similar case and it has the cutout on the back for the mic but everyone complains that they can't hear me clearly or it sounds like it's breaking up

Review: Poetic Leather Case Cover With Stand - $13 shipped (w/ pics)

Poetic(TM) Leather Case Cover With Stand from Amazon
I bought this case earlier when it was just $10 shipped, but now the price is $13 shipped which I think is still a great price.
Pro:
-Nice quality hard leather cover
-Magnets to hold cover shut
-Very sturdy stand
-Big clear cutouts for cameras AND speaker grill
-Soft velvety interior
-Easy to access all ports and buttons
Cons:
-Interior of case is dust magnet
-No way to stand in portrait mode
-Only available in black
-Can't charge while case is closed
Hmmm, I hadn't realized there was more than one Poetic case. I also purchased mine for $10 w/ free shipping and just received mine. It doesn't even look close to that.
But I am very pleased with it.
OP, I have the same case. I agree with everything you said. I really like it, I also wish I could charge with it closed. I think it would be easier to hold while using if the flap, hinged from the top. The flap also blocks the speaker, when folded back, but it is still more than loud enough. All in all, great case!

I have the same, and am about ready to attack the binding with a sharp knife, as well judicious use of superglue to keep the edges neat-ish.
There's also an additional con - the exterior separates somewhat from the interior if you hold it for along time, so that you end up with some bubbling. It's still stitched well enough to hold together well, but it doesn't look quite as clean anymore.

Laza smooth extended battery case

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Y1D6GI/ref=fb_lfb_prodpg_0
So I've had this case for about five days. General review is i like the feel of a hard case but part of that may be the placebo affect. The sides and back provide very good protection against the occasional dropping. The front is my only concern. The trim around the screen is not as thick as the extended soft case I purchased from Verizon. I'm worried that a hard drop on the on the screen side would be almost fatal but the only solution would be an otter box but that adds way to much bulk for my taste and the battery being held in by rubber and nothing else just seems kind of scary to me. The two pieces of this case are held in by a catch on the inside of the top piece. To remove the case simply press hard on the Laza logo and the two pieces slide apart. Actually easier said then done. It takes some wiggling to get them apart. The good news about that is that a simple drop will not cause them to fall apart. Your buttons and ports and extra mic are very easily accessible. Large cut outs allow you to use all the buttons freely without rubber covering them but still maintaining the protection of the phone. The other major downfall is how slick this case is. Even with dry hands it feels like at any given second your phone is a wet bar of soap that your trying your best to hold onto. Reading the reviews from amazon it seems that some customers received a belt clip for this case that would be awesome. Not sure if it was just not mass released or if only the people who complained got them but I cant seem to find one anywhere. All in all not a bad case for a phone that is over a year old. Now to complain that I need a belt clip. LoL
Mav.
One more
Weird how a company is still making cases for a phone that is over a year old.
Looking forward to the review, thanks.

Seidio Case

This is the Surface Case from Seidio, I just opened their website today and saw this!
http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-droid-dna-surface-case-black-p/csr3htdda-bk.htm
I'm really happy to see Seidio finally releasing some of their products for us, I'm deciding between picking up this black version of it or just waiting for the red one, or just waiting entirely on the Active case with built in kick-stand. Feel free to give your experience with seidio cases or anything seidio related
This is a lovely case I might order one as well I might wait to see if it drops in price 30 bucks isn't bad but I'm a cheap dude. Ill go on eBay see if its cheaper lol...good find tho

I'm going to definitely wait for their kickstand case. It's a no brainer for $5 more IMO. Thanks for the info though. Definitely glad as well that seidio decided to build cases for our device.

i just noticed this today too.. too bad i'm waiting for the active case with metal kickstand combo... and the money to buy it...
Just purchased the surface combo. Been waiting for this! I need a holster at work and nothing else has been very good imo for the DNA so far, at least that I have tried. Hoping it is as nice as my prior surface/innocase case combos were and that case is not too bulky.

Let me know how the surface case works for you when you get it! Would like to see how it plays with edge to edge screen protectors! If possible could you also do a mini review of the case?

Here my review on Seido Surface Combo. I really think Seido has done a great job at find the right balance with this case. It adds some protection for screen and camera by keeping them from connecting directly to flat surface. All of the edges are also covered. The thickness of case I think is just right. I was worried about added bulk as I have not liked any other case I have tried so far except the verizon shell which really adds nothing. Seido kept the back with same curve as phone. I am starting to actually like feel of device in case better than naked phone as phone does not feel quite as fragile or potentially as easy to drop. It is a bit easier to type in landscape mode as you have more to hold onto. Volume rocker and power button are easy to locate by feel now, and I have yet to accidently hit the volume rocker with the clever way this was designed. Closing usb port is not quite as easy with phone in case, but not overly hard either. The notification light on back has its own cutout also. Seido also did a great job at solvong the issue where speaker volume gets muted on some surfaces. I put the phone with this case on all the places where I cannot hear naked phone ring and the ringtone came out loud and clear. Have not yet tried case with a screen protector, but will try to get one so I can let people know how it works with them. Holster is great. Yes, it is a bit big to carry at waistband, but that is just because phone is the size it is. This holster manages to allow easy access while keeping phone secure (wore all day yesterday and no issues). The release hinge is a bit bigger than on prior Seido holsters, but it seems like it needs to be that way to add necessary stability. Has same swivel mechanism as other holsters also. Easy to put on and take off once you know how Seido cases are. Noticed no damage on phone from case, though could tell where soft lining touched phone (made a line that like fingerprints can be wiped away). Easy reach all eadges of screen; case does not hinder anything (with otterbox defender had trouble touching outer edges of screen). All in all, love this case and holster combo and it is definitely what will stay on my DNA from now on! If you have specific questions, let me know. Will try to get some pictures if I can find my actual camera.

Wow thank you so much for this review, i can now safely go ahead and order this case from them now, unless i can find it on Amazon now. Either way you've closed any doubts about this case other then the who screen protector deal, let us know when you get your hands on one and how it plays with the case, thanks for this review once again i know many others will enjoy this as well!
Forgot to mention phone charges wirelessly through case with no problem.
Pictures of Seido Surface case and Holster are attached. They include front view, back view, side view, top view, bottom view, 3 views in holster and 2 views with only half of case on to give better idea of size of case.
I tried one of the verizon screen protectors. They do not go edge to edge so work fine with the case. Put one of the protectors such that it went to very bottom edge of phone (on phone in pictures). The case does lift it a bit if phone is held just right, but I could use the plastic thing to push bubbles away to lift edge of case just enough to push screen protector under the edge. I imagine it will be a bit of a challenge for true edge to edge protectors with this case, but might work after some tweaking. Seido is working on their own screen protectors for this phone so maybe they will look into the issue.

Glad it will work for you. I am extremely pleased with purchase of this combo!
i will still be waiting for the active case to release

SGH-T779 and my case/screen protectors of choice

Hello Android fans,
I'm a new user to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from T-Mobile (SGH-T779), and I wanted to discuss my case and screen protectors of choice I like.
First of all, my screen protector of choice in most cases is usually Zagg's invisibleShield, because it works REALLY well, most of the time. I say most of the time for reasons not related to this situation. I have a Galaxy Note 2 as well with a wallet case that presses against the screen, Zagg's plastic technology doesn't work so well for it in that kind of situation.
Otherwise, my Tab 2 has a nice wet-applied Zagg invisibleShield HD screen on it, and it's plain awesome. There's no quality loss in the screen, it doesn't scratch very easily and doesn't collect a whole lot of fingerprints. It does collect them, but easily wiped off with a simple cloth.
My case I'm using, though it's not /perfect/, it's just currently the best I could personally find at the time.
It's the RooCase RC-GALX10TAB2-DA-BK Dual-Axis leather folio case. Basically it works using a 2-piece assembly. The main part holds the case in a nice felt-feeling case, so you can hold it, without the outer case, in a night light package. The outer case has velcro to hold the inner part to it so you can rotate it by sticking it to the velcro. This allows it to be in landscape or portrait mode very nicely, and it doesn't fall over when in portrait mode like a lot of the other dual-axis folios seem to have a problem with. It does use a low-powered magnet on the front of the inner case to the outer inner case so it snugs together when closed.
The only downsides are, so far:
The stylus/pen holder is on the outside edge of the outer case, so it sticks out like a soar thumb, and can easily be knocked out.
The case has no hole on the bottom side for the 30-pin connector, though this issue can be kind of gotten around by simply rotating the tablet to its side, or completely upside down, thanks to full auto-rotation of the Android interface. I usually plug it in every night in this manner, rotated out to put the 30-pin on the outer side and plugged in.
It is "technically" leather, but it seems like every other "Genuine Leather" product out there, where the leather is just a very very thin layer of leather covered over cardboard or other fillers. (I make leather stuff as a hobby, so I know what real leather is capable of and feels like when done properly).
The plus sides are:
It fits rather well and does not interfere with the touchable screen area, even with my big hands I have yet to conflict with the edges of the touchable screen. .
It fits very snug and tightly, so it doesn't move at all.
It fully exposes the power, volume rocker, microSD slot, IrDA port, and headset port, and covers most of the SIM card, so it helps prevent loss of the SIM card in case it ever popped open and somehow snapped out.
Anyway, that's my review, hope it's helpful to people.

OEM Car Kit for P20 Pro, anyone using it?

Hi, I am thinking of buying the original Car Kit for my P20 Pro, is anyone using it? I'm wondering about the case that comes in this kit, is it protective enough for daily use outside the car? If you own one, please give me your opinions
I'm using it and personally think it has the "perfect feel" in hand. The case itself is thin and has a hard plastic back where the magnet is. The sides have the slightest "rubbery/silicone" feel to it, which makes it easy to hold. If you have ever felt the silicon casing for the iPhone X, it's like that only thinner. There are cutouts on the top for the RF receiver and mic as well as the volume/power buttons on the sides and speaker/usb-c ports on the bottom.
To answer your question. "is it protective enough for daily use outside the car?" depends on how rough you are on the phone. I've dropped my phone from about 0.5m up 2-3 times already and the case protected the phone nicely. If you are a person that's anal about scratches on the phone, just be aware that the top, right side, and bottom have cutouts that might lead to scratching while in a pocket.
Thanks for in-depth review. The only thing that keeps me from buying this kit are the cutouts in the case - if it wasn't for this it would be perfect buy for me. I'l think this through. Oh and one more thing - how well it protects the cameras?
