Working consistently with Google Play Music, including all-access streaming. Also, downloaded Pandora to test and it worked (free stream). I assume it should work with other players, as well.
"Working" defined: toggle consistently de/activates, without additional work-arounds; panning consistently works when enabled.

So... what problem does this resolve exactly? I'm confused.
so just enable AwesomePlayer in developer settings? Could anyone explain the difference between awesomeplayer and Nuplayer?

Some people seem to have to trick the hifi toggle to work for certain apps.

I'm hoping its supposed to resolve the DAC and AMP only being utilized for the stock player and TIDAL. Spotify still sounds pretty bad.... But not sure if because its 320 ogg or because its not being amplified. Tidal flacs sound amazing with the V10 so far. Huge improvement over anything else. Will try running flac files from the stock player soon.
This does allow more access to the hifi dac but it still doesn't work in every app. Tested with google play streaming and it works, still doesn't work with poweramp or YouTube for example
This gives me a reason to not use BT for music in car anymore
I see. Is there a fix for the volume not going past 30 when the DAC is on? The slider can go up to 75 but it jumps back to 30 no matter how many times I try to move it up.
EDIT: Fixed. It was the "More volume steps" option in G4TweaksBox. Turned it off and everything is back to normal.
I still cant get it to work with any app that plays alac files, (Gone Mad, Onkyo, Poweramp, etc.)
This wouldn't be too big a deal to me if the stock music app could play those. I don't want to convert all my music files that are lossless to flac...

Nevermind, it was G4TweaksBox. I had the "More volume steps" option enabled and that interferes with the DAC volume.

I have seen many threads for the reboot issue for the SGS2, but have not seen any where it only happens with the stock music player. Noticed at the gym while listening to music on the stock app. I prefer the stock app due to the EQ functions to get much better sound. It seems to occasionally perform a quick soft reboot when it runs though. This is the ONLY time it has ever done a soft reboot, so I have just switched to the Google Music app, but don't enjoy the sound quality near as much.
If anyone else has noticed this, is there a possible fix for this or is it something Samsung needs to hammer out in an update?
I have the same problem with the samsung music player. I would like to know a solution, too.
I get this problem too.
I have it too, almost everytime I use the Samsung music player.
Sometimes I think I must have the *only* S2 built properly
No reboot whatsoever using the stock music player, music is on external sd.

Fat 32, done on the computer rather than the phone if that makes any difference.

Yeah I get this problem too. It is some kind of soft-reboot -- i.e. it doesn't go right back to the bootloader. And occasionally I get even softer reboots that seem to just restart the UI layer (you don't even get the boot animation). Kind of annoying, but fairly rare for me.
I guess maybe it is overheating? But battery temp is 34 degrees which seems ok.
When watching a film on my Galaxy S3 - using a file I copied from my desktop - the default Samsung video player displays the chapter number at the bottom of the screen like: Chapter 1
This isn't burned onto the video itself - watching the same video on my desktop show no such chapter display.
Is there a way of turning this off? There isn't an obvious option in the app itself.
Bump - no one else have this issue? I noticed a similar problem in the note 2 forum.
In case it's not clear what I mean, it looks like this:

Dude quit bumping...
This question has already been posted....
There's a setting in the video player itself if I remember correctly.
I searched for this before posting and couldn't find anything. I also sent ages searching through the options and also couldn't find anything.

Was bugging me too, and just figured out how to turn it off. Whilst playing the video in Video Player click the left soft button, go to Settings and the turn "Closed caption" off.

How do you turn off the shutter sound on the camera without silencing the phone? I cannot find it in the camera app.

Verizon doesn't give us the option to turn it off. I ended up using Tasker. If you search the forums others have mentioned other fixes they have used.

Theres an option to turn the shutter sound off. Open the camera, hit menu and open the settings menu, hit the gear on the far right for more settings and its near the bottom.

Thats only there if you have a custom rom or modified camera app
If you are rooted, go to /system/csc/feature.xml and change this to true (make a copy first in case it gets messed up):
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
Reboot and it will be in the camera menu.
My bad didnt think about that. Have been running synergy since the day I got my s4. Thanks tho.

Not rooted and running the latest vzw update, if I have my ring volume off (silent mode, and vibrate only) I get no shutter sound. Only way but it works.

It works pretty well with music but when it comes to play movies or games there's an annoying audio delay .
Any solutions to fix this ?
Thanks
There is no solution. Every bluetooth accessory has a delay

i thought it might have been just some bad encoded files when i noticed this issue but looking back at other files i never had problems with i didn't have this issue until after i did the update. wish i knew the exact delay then i could adjust for it on all my files with bs player you can adjust audio offset.
It's an android issue. The delay is anywhere between 0.5 and 1 second. Custom roms like cm have corrected it I believe.

Thanks, I've done some research and yes it seems to be normal .
I was pretty disappointed since i bought this for playing movies and games , i wasn't aware of this issue :/
I can adjust the audio offset with my main player Diceplayer but it's just not convenient because that delay seems to varie, even on a same movie .
I tried a few video players and i couldn't believe, i have no issue with MX player, i can even skip forward or back, no lag, synced like it's wired lol
Dunno why it works, tried with mp4. avi, 1080 mkv so i'll just use Mx player when using my bluetooth speaker
Streaming over lan makes the videos lag a lot though..
Netflix , games are out of sync except a few ones

When you plug in headphones, and slide down notification, it shows suggested apps. What should I freeze with TB to get rid of that? Also, is there something to freeze to get rid if the headphones are plugged in notification too?

You can install wanam, through xposed.installer, gives u the option to disable the headphone notification
Did they disable the ability to just turn off suggested apps?

Nope. It's there and it works. Wanam has been adding KitKat features almost daily.

From wanam, go to sounds and it's the one that says 'hide handset app notification' and 'hide handset notification icon'
Yes, go into settings>application manager> all>page buddy noti sync and simply turn off. Viola
