Buonasera a tutti!
I bought recently a Xperia Z, i had ipad 4 but tired of ios (i like much more android, maybe i'm use tu this operating system much more than ios)and both heavy, big measures of this ipad 4 gen i sold ipad (with no box,no chargers...) at 200 euros and bought at 200 euros (so exact same) a xperia Z perfect with cover and a 64gb microsd
Nothing to say, i love this tablet, much thinner than ipad air too and heavy like ipad air, i love everything, lollipop too.
But... i wanted to root immediately the device but using for now the stock rom and not cyano ecc. So i tried to install the lollipop prerooted roms but with all of them the tablet turn it on, shows the xperia logo and then rebooting in loop....
I tried germany,usa,nordic...everything the same.
Of course i followed all guides, dnograded to 4.1.2, root it with doomlord ecc, then put double recovery and install zip. I tried with philz recovery and twrp but it was the same...
Finally i was tired and put the stock rom, 5.1.1 then tried kingroot and...it worked perfectly! Wow!
I unsistalled lot of apps too...oh my god what much bloatware!
Cm13 is going to be released on this tab? Official marshmellow no as i saw...

yep.
I saw it but seems very unstable
After 5.1.1 I installed http://nut.xperia-files.com/ TabZ-lockeddualrecovery2.8.22-RELEASE.installer.zip then proceeded to do this also but went a couple steps further and after installing kingroot I used this method posted @ http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html and after running the script I got some errors but at least kingroot was disabled then rebooted into recovery and flashed https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/ and afterwards was on supersu and then uninstalled kingroot and all is good with supersu and no more kingroot and purify since it was no longer active this was on sgp351 with downloaded 5.1.1 then hit up http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 and flashed xposed-v75-sdk22-arm.zip and after reboot installed the apk XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk and all is running fine.

Yesterday i had to reset my device, and now on the apps field, have many many useless apps from VIVO and when i start the gadget, appears that logo too. First question, why that appears now and not before when i bought?
Second question, I dont know what ROM is installed, since i use JellyBean 4.2.2, can i Flash ANY Kitkat Rom? Or should i install an especifcly one? Please, someone help me, i'm new on this...

Yes, you can use any of the roms for the d802 version as long as you do not try and install the stock firmware for it via LG Updater or a KDZ/tot file flasher.

and you'll need this:

theres no root, recovery so definately no custom roms. i dont think theres that much interest in the phone for anyone to take the time to develop for it. i got one given to mess around with and yulong/vodafone have crippled the phone , its got the most basic stock recovery without even sideload option and fastboot is useless, all it says is fastboot mode with no options to do anything, also the bootloader is locked tight and firmware is cpb, it would take someone special to crack this phone.
Just to clarify if your running android 4.4.2 it can be rooted but 4.4.4 doesnt root on this phone or the 890n version.
I have android 4.4.2 and I want to update it to 4.4.4. Is there any way to do that?

need 890n stock firmware
First of all hello to everyone now down to the point i messed up an 890n vodafone smart 4 turbo 4.4.4 and i cannot find the stock firmware anywhere can anybody help me with this i also notice that the bootloader is nice and tighty so if i found the stock firmware how could i introduce it into the device please help me thank very much
=o}
Just to confirm Kingoroot app works on 4.4.4 . The SU app also gives option now to delete ALL system apps, so do your homework.
Doing a (' site:qualcomm.com ' ) search for any of their apps is very illuminating.
I installed a root file explorer and have took out Bloatware & stuff I don't use...basically turned it into an ipod without Music functionallity, LOL.
Coolpad apps are getting themselves a bad name for surveillance & malware type actions, so beware.

Okay so um, im not exactly what you would call "good" when it comes to rooting android, and ive had the Vodafone 890N that came stock with a KitKat 4.4.4 Rom and Ive had the phone for 11 months and Just recently tried to root it, most ways i tried failed miserably but my friend got the same phone and found this exe file that he said worked for him... but it didnt, but he sent it to me and it worked for me 1st try so now i have a Vodafone 890N running 4.4.4 and its rooted. The name of the app i used is "RootGenius_v2.3.0.exe" and its in asain. So if you do it with that, and it stops and comes up with asain writing, click the blank white button... Another way i got to work was with Kingoroot... which wasnt working 5 months ago so they must've either updated it or i just got lucky
re.root
Noticed Kingo used the wifi quite a bit during the root.
They're basically tagging onto the gmscore playstore app to gain SU now.
Hi guys, can you upload de files to upgrade my Smart 4 Turbo to 4.4.4 Custom Google Rom? I've tried to use the links in the androidpt website but they are all down.
I've found a way to flash zips on to the 890N. Use KingRoot to root it. Get SuperSume from the Play Store (or internet for KingRoot 4.x) and use it. Then, download FlashFire, and use that to flash stuff

Hi,
Is there any way to install Android 4.4.4 without having to root my phone? Seems like every root I have tried have halfway broken camera, but I still want KitKat running on my phone.

No,you cant flash custom roms without root.
Rooting is pretty easy.Just search the forums and you will find one ! GL :good:
@Fyttikatta: here you find instruction and download for rooting. Before, flash the last firmware, also with Odin, and make a factory reset in recovery (to repair the camera item).
Yes, I'm familiar with rooting, but every ROM I have installed have not worked with Snapchat's record function as well as the camera requires rebooting like every 2nd time I open the app. It becomes quite frustrating, therefore I'm looking for a ROM with a "working" camera
If you want the hardware to work perfectly then you'll have to stick to either stock or stock based rom.

Well, if Samsung could get their sh|t together we wouldn't have had to root our phones.
The only time I've been able to send full length videos on Snapchat was with blekota's s5 rom ages ago. I'm on the latest archidroid right now and loving it, I mean the camera has crashed a couple of times and still video recording cuts out but I've learnt to live with it until I uninstall Snapchat which seems to only crash the camera for me

Root is irrelevant to custom rom, they all come rooted. If you want kitkat with native hardware support then buy a newer phone.

So basically what you are saying is that if you have a PC with Windows Vista, you should buy a new one to get Windows 7? At least with Samsung's flagship phones, the Galaxy S series, they should support for OS upgrades more than a year. Even the S4 have Lollipop, why shouln't the S3 have KK?
PC is totally different, no comparison could be made as Microsoft doesn't own or control the hardware. S3 is over three years old and doesn't have enough memory to run 4.4 stock, yes it could run it but Samsung decided not to bother writing a slimmer firmware.

That is still no excuse. KitKat was released only a year after the S3, and I have been running different versions of it on my S3 with better performance than with stock. Still they decided to give the S4 an overhaul with Lollipop two years after it's release.
Hello Guys.
I planning of rooting my Tablet Z (SGP312) still in new-ish condition.
It is not updated still have android 4.1.2 on it (Built 10.1.C.0.370).
I just want to get rid of the sony mess what is on the tablet.
What program you recommend for this android version ?
It is not going to be my first rooting as my Galaxy phone and my LG G pad rooted as well.
I heard a lot problems with the updates (kitkat and the new lollipop) so not planning to update it.
Anybody use here other newer Android version (not from Sony) on this tablet with no Problem ?
Thanks for answer.
(If you can an email me on [email protected] would be really appreciated).

Firmware is very old, but you can root it with DooMLoRD_SuperSU.zip or DooMLoRD_Superuser.zip
Also KK and LP firmware are great, so no reasons for not updating. Also CM is working good on tablet.
Sony Tablet Z what you recommend
Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Keep up the really great work.
In the meantime Azar_98 was so kind to answer to my private message.
He recommended to put the 5.1.1 prerooted firmware onto it.
Just updated the tablet now there is 4.3 on it now (10.4 built) and there is available
the 10.5 built I think it is the Kitkat.
I see you have 5.1.1 prerooted on your tablet.
Is there any how-to on this site what explain the installation of this version ?
thanks again.

Hello all
I friend of mine donated his Galaxy Tab 10.1 to my son.
Now I need to update to the latest possible firmware. Not even YouTube kids works on the old firmware.
When trying to do OTA upgrade it mentions no upgrade available. I chatted to Samsung support and they suggest using Kies. Sadly this tablet isn't compatible with Kies 3 and I can't seem to locate older versions.
Can anyone assist or guide me in the correct direction
With thanks

If the tablet says that there's no new firmware, then there's no new firmware available.
You could root it, install a custom recovery and flash the latest Android 7.1.1 ROM from decatf if you want.
However, this tablet is getting pretty old by now and youtube just doesn't run super smooth without overclocking (and even then there are no guarantees). If you want my honest opinion, I suggest you look for a second hand Nexus 7 2013. It still runs smoothly today and has a very active developers community.

Wait a minute.. You have a GT N8000, this forum is for the GT P7500 /7510. Normally the latest Android for your tablet is 4.4.2. If you want to root it you will want to look at the specific forum for your type of tablet.
And a factory reset can sometimes do wonders for the speed of your device, if you don't mind loosing everything on it.
