I was wondering if anyone could take the time to make the trutv app compatible with nexus player. When I try to sideload this app it will seem like it's going to work but then as soon as you launch live tv it crashes. If anyone could help port this app if it is possible I would really appreciate it.
Offer some payment or reward and someone may jump on it for you if they feel it to be adequate.

I get your drift, and I can see how something like that could be really popular. I know some folks are really addicted to these social games where they take turns and play with someone. Taking that idea into a romantic direction would work, I'd think. Something on the order of "Draw Something" or "Words With Friends" that was password protected and was on the order of "Truth or Dare" or something like that might find a huge market...particularly if you could attach audio or pictures. SMS just isn't a perfect substitute because it doesn't bring in the "game" aspect or provide the same kind of "rules" or "choices".

thank you for thinking outside the box to see the kind of app i'm looking for. we do the "texting" thing. i'm looking for something different. something that could promote new ideas and things to do. something that takes some of the control away.
App for Couples
There is a new app for couples out that could provide you with something of what you are looking for.
Search iLoveNote on Google Play for Android Devices. The App is awaiting release in the App store for IOS devices.
I was also looking for a similar app. I found an app so I want to make happy to my girlfriend with my performance.:
I am an aspiring android developer trying to teach myself the language. I would like to find a project, maybe open source, that I can get involved in as a real world experience with android programming.
I am wondering if there are people here that are either working on, or who could recommend, a project that I could join? I think that working on a modern app would be a great way for me to continue my learning. I have been working with books, but I worry that the information might not be completely up to date.
I am excited to get involved with real world app programming. I hope to be helpful to any project that I join Thanks to everyone in advance!
Hi MastrFett,
It is great to see how exiciting a person could be when learning. I do not have a project but I recommend you to do one for your own.
When doing something that you are going to release you do the best of yourself and you learn much more. Facing real problems is very exciting. There are lot of things that a book wouldn't explain you; you will discover them when you know that not only you is going to use your app.
Try something and upload it on Google Play. Don't get bored reading questions/answers on StackOverflow -it will be your best friend -
Patedit,
Thanks. My only problem is I don't feel like I have many good ideas of my own right now. I think the few I have would require algorithms more advanced than my level of skill. I'll have to keep thinking.
I was just hoping to find something that would give me the chance to just jump in head first on a project right away. I do eventually want to do something on my own when I come up with the right idea.
You need a good idea if you want to become rich
If you want to learn, you don't need great ideas I know it could be frustrating at first... Imagine something you need or that will help you in your daily use of your smartphone.
For example, yesterday I made for me a widget in which I could see the next alarm time. With pressing on the widget, the Alarm Clock app is launched. That could sound 'easy' but it took me several hours. I did it because I wanted a nice widget to do so and a shortcut to the Alarm Clock app which I didn't have.
Good luck!
There is an app idea I had, but I found out there are a lot that already do what I want on google play. Should I still make the app for experience? I don't know if it is worth it if the app already exists.

Hey All,
I know this is a weird question but I don't know where else or who else to ask...
Play is having a sales and one of the things I would like to order is sketchbook products which is on sale for 25 cents.
It isn't compatible with my Note but will be with my 10.1 when it arrives so I would like to order the program now to install later.
Play won't let me, even if muck in system.
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks!

Normally....
the play store will respond to your app requests if the DPI on the device is changed to reflect the DPI value of the device it was intended for...
I dont know how much button time you have had with DPI changes, but this is the short method for getting the PS to see a device...
Also, the PS is dependent on your software version, and will not let you pull apk's built for JB, if you are running ICS etc.
there is more info I'm sure, and hopefully we can get more users in here with some experience to chime in for you..
It's really a trial and error event...and sadly, I suck at it...LOL.....g
Theres a thread i think under developing, that tells you how to download incompatible apps

What is PiCAST?
I couldn't get a Chromecast cause it was sold out, so I tried to build my own and within 3 Days I decided to release the PiCAST and now almost a week in and we have [YouTube] Video! So, I am trying to make it like the Google Chromecast BUT completely open, free, and hopefully get others to contribute to make it better. So at this moment in time, it will throw a website or load and play a YouTube Video. Soon you'll be able to have the ability to control remotely or have Desktop Sharing.

Is this an emulation of Chromecast? or totally different project in the same direction?

Actually yes, the whole project has gotten a re-design in general. Less requirements, faster loading and only need a single web page. Using Sockets, so the project is smaller and a lot safer.

I don't know what that is, but from your explanation, I will say no, unfortunately.
Any screen your Pi is connected to, will have processes performed on it remotely.
Ill be subscribing to this thread and wait for it eagerly.
Can any updates be expected?
Is it, or will it be, possible to stream audio from applications on your computer like Spotify?
Hi, I'm trying to get this working on my Pi currently, once I get down to the "SETUP DATABASE" section, I'm really not sure what to do. are there more detailed instructions anywhere?
Hello, I'm very interested in the project you have here, but is there anyway to send the PiCast from an android device to the Pi?
will picast work with services such as netflix?
Has there been any progress lately? Any updates or fixes?
someone here was updating the app for years to support the changes but he seems to be MIA and many people still use that app
and are willing to pay for it even.
i was wondering if anyone can maybe help us out and maybe show people how to keep it up to date when craigslist links change etc
or even better to make a new app that has same simple interface and features and is available on marketplace
craigslistnotifica.apk
whats different about oreo that so many apps dont work anymore?
