Respect!!! :good:
I have a couple xiaomi usb-c adapters (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-..._78_77_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_9) but I got 2 for $5. They work fine.
Good advice.
But off topic, so I'll close this now.

I left my charging cable for jawbone, just the cable itself and not the usb adapter for the outlet, in a hotel in Texas
Does anyone have a cable I could purchase off them?
A friend of mine did the same thing. It looks like you can get the charger from their online store if need be.

Perfect, thanks a lot!
ebay ... is where to get anything in the world
You guys have much luck finding power supplies or cables for a generic USB power adapter for the springboard? I will probably use this device as a GPS quite a bit, and would like to have the car charger.

Ebay has plenty.
Just search for usb charging cable mediapad and iPad usb car charger. The purpose for iPad charger is to make sure that the charger has big enough amp/watt.

Yep, you need at least a 2 Ampere charger.
I used a bog standard 0.5A charger first in the car and the tablet ran out of juice after a few hours. Then I found a 3 Ampere car charger at a fuel station shop and now it runs fine.
I bought a USB-to-Mediapad power connector cable from some german online store to connect the car charger to the tablet. As we all now charging via the micro-usb port does not work.

Could you please provide a link to the site with usb-to-springboard adapter? I can't seem to find one anywhere
The microUSB port does charge but it is a slow trickle. I can get it from empty to 100% if I plug it into a microUSB charger overnight, but if I need to boost it as fast as possible it has to use the charge port.

Here you go.. this is the one I got.. pretty pleased with it.. One tip, only use a 1amp charger, with 1,5 or 2 amps the mediapad starts to overheat or something, it overall fails to function properly

5 volts, 2 Amp. It needs that much power, a smaller ps might burn the house down.
Big thanks to you man!!!
Looking for a 12V DC charger at a local store..
Choices aren't great...
Walmart, Staples, Radio Shack, Target....
I bought one at Walmart for all Samsung devices, but it didn't work..
What should I be looking for...
I tried asking one of the Techs at Staples.. Dumb idiot was useless...
Thanks
I bought this pack about 2 years ago. Always give me a full amp charging. You'll need a good usb cable though.
Edit: can't post links, search Walmart Rayovac usb charger.
12vdc charger and a separate household comes in about $12

Appreciate the info...
What is a good usb cable considered...
i bought a 12v Duarcell USB 2.1 Amp today.
It charges my Galaxy S3. but doesn't charge the i717..
I'm starting to wonder if I need a better cable like you are recommending.

I have a couple cables that work with the AC USB adapter and on my computer..
But they will not work with the 2.1 amp DC usb adapter.
I figured the 2.1 amp would be enough.
What should I be looking for Amp/Watt wise in an adapter...
Thanks

delayed response. the good cable i mentioned would be any charging specific cable where the data pins are shorted to force most phones into ac charging, or any cable with a decent gauge wire in it. i ran into a problem with some really cheap cables that were overheating at the pins due to bad solder joints. The phone showed it was charging but the battery would drop unless the screen was off. It took nearly two days to charge with that cable. The cable didnt feel warm at all, but it had too much resistance to carry the current for the phone.
I'm a little nervous after blowing up one of my 2A USB chargers when I used it with the LG cable, that doesn't throttle the load it places on the charger, so now I'm looking for places to get reviews on things first
I've bought a few Qualcomm QuickCharge3.0 devices from Amazon, where apparently all cables and adapters are tested before shipping, but is are there any reviews on other USB-C add ones?
In particular, I'm interested in this USB adapter that gives you a USB3 socket, HDMI and another USB-C port, so you can add more devices / continue charging: HERE
It says "for Macbooks", but would the HDMI adapter work and still allow you to charge and add USB peripherals (e.g. an airmouse)... so you can turn your phone into a portable HTPC

Thx m8 i will look into it.
I have some Aukey from amazon, but lastly I converted everything in the house with magnetic plugs, from aliexpress, I have both straight cable and right-angle cable:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/PZO...crousb-Type-C-Magnet-Charger/32849697882.html
I have all my micro-usb and usb-c devices with plugs, and a couple of cable plugged in adapters everywhere in the house/car so whoever in the family can charge their device/phone/tablet everywhere very easily.
I'm using it with QC2.0 and QC3.0 charger and it works fine.
