Hi all. Is there any way to hack Lenovo A6000 camera to record 1080p video? As far as I know the camera supports 1080p but it's locked to 720p by Lenovo. I tried other roms and it gave me option 1080p but when I tried to record video it failed. Any ideas on what to do?

Hello
I was wondering if its possible to lower the compression and noise of the photos with root and editing some files. Or somehow to enhance photo quality.
I had Nokia N8 which has still awesome quality of photos and now I have this lenovo and I'm thinking about improveing the photo quality as much as possible.
Thanks
I also bought one of these phones.
Poor camera quality, tried several programs.
Have you been able to improve the quality since then?
Android 4.4.4 Kitkat (original).
LENOVO A6000 VIDEO CAPTURE 720p TO 1080p
I have a lenovo a6000 with Lollipop 5.0.2 (S058) latest and TWRP 2.8.7 custom recovery.
I tried all custom roms but not change camera capture resolution to 1080p from 720p (default).
The MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 is support to 1080p video capture.
Ιt is to difficult to changed????? Why nobody? It is important i think.
Maybe somewhere settings in system or script? Or installed zip file?
I change media_profiles.xml to 1080 resolution and I can see in camera settings 1080p but it fail, say wrong parameters to video resolution.
I must change something else in system files?
THANKS to Developers....
Refresh the topic, same question about video and photo anyone?
If I'm not wrong then you need to edit boot.img aka kernel for this, but I'm not sure if it's possible or not, just a theory
Hi everyone!
As you all know for sure,we can record slowmotion videos on our honor 7,but if you try to upload yo the network,or send to a friend by whatsapp, the video will be a normal speed, not slowmotion.
Yesterday i was at mall, and i was able to try the same slowmotion video mode on P9 lite and P9 and this problem wasn't exist.
Apart,i have a doubt, why the software is not capable of record in 4K?Meizu smartphones with the same camera sensor are capables.
How would be able to get Honor or Huawei to tell these both things and try to get resolved?
Thanks and sorry for my english.
Yes, our camera is capable of handling 4K but our processor doesn't have native encoding for 4K, so we can't have 4K video recording.
Hello, i have a PPTV King 7, a chinese mobile with Mediatek MT6795 Helio x10, and Camera 13 mpx.
This mobile record videos FULLHD, but a boy edited stock camera .APK for recording 4k.
We have to install only, this new camera.apk and we have 4k option and videos.
I want to modify other apps in my mobile, as Open Camera or FV5 Cinema.
All changes that i did in my media_profiles.xml, not worked.
Can anybody tell me how one APK was edited for recording 4k?
Thank you.
I tried 5 different 3rd party 4K recording apps on MM and Nougat........and non of them worked..................all just do 1080p.
Cinema4k
ProShot
Freedcam (2 different versions
Lumio Camera Pro
Open Camera
All just do 1080p on the G5 stock unrooted MM and Nougat (Sprint LS992)
The stupid thing is the G4, which uses the same main camera module can do great 4K video with all of these apps above listed...... non-root too.
The only way to do 4K is the stock app which is low bitrate. I am seeking to do high bitrate which the LG G4 does wonderfully even unrooted stock
Anyone know of a way to enable 4K for the G5 non-root? Thanks

Hey!
Did you maybe find the solution to this. I discovered the possibilities with Open Camera (completely manual video mode), but only thing that's missing is 4k. Did you come up with something?
Hi, on the official xperia x rom, i saw that it has "Timeshift Video" so with that you can create slowmotion at 120fps but i switched to a new rom and it has not this fonctionnality :'(
Does anyone know how to install this ? And it is possible to install also "4k video recording" ?
