7" Kindle Fire HDX in bootloop - never rooted/modded - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I haven't used my Kindle Fire HDX in quite a while and when I went to boot it today to load a few books before a trip it wouldn't get past the white and gold "Kindle Fire" logo. After doing some searching around here and the rest of the interwebs I found tons of threads about how to unbrick it if you have ADB access AND a rooted device. Unfortunately, my device is bone stock and has never been rooted (no idea why it would boot loop on me, but that's a different topic). So far I have booted into recovery and did a factory reset...didn't fix anything. I also tried the magical, plug it into a PC not a wall wart and it will boot trick...no dice.
Is there anything else I can do?

Still haven't found a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately w/o adb (USB debug) access little can be done to revive your device. There is no way to communicate with it.

[Q] Bricked Kindle fire running cyanogenmod

Hi there, So, I have this kindle fire I bought and it was running cyanogenmod, and then kindle app started not to open. Called Amazon, checked online, noo help. So I rebooted from recovery mode, accidently deletd the apparently only os it had on it, now it turns on in recovery mode, shows me it has the new kindle os on it, (thought I might revert back to original os to see if kindle app would work), but it wont boot from it. It starts with the kindle fire screen, but does not progress from there. Also, it won't be recognized by my mac anymore, so I can't get new install programs to it. What can I do? I think If I could get my hands on a windows computer, I might be able to get it going again? I have no knowledge of this except for what I have mentioned. I can probably wing it if I have detailed instructions, but without my computer recognizing the unit, I am stuck. Thanks for any help.

Any way to restore ADB on bricked device?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I have been searching around through dozens of threads over days and don't see much about people in a bootloop without ADB access. Is this an unsolvable problem or is there some way to reconnect to ADB so I can run a fix?
Just for background, I had a fully functioning towel rooted kindle 8.9 HDX which had the Google marketplace, OTC disabled, APEX launcher running, ADB connectivity with all the SDK stuff installed and safestrap. I must have done something wrong with safestrap because my backup didn't take, and when I tried to hide the nav bar I got stuck in a bootloop. I see the grey logo then a lighted black screen, but the kindle no longer connects.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588608 Look a whole thread devoted to your problem .. I would suggest reading the whole thread and understanding as much as possible before you start issuing commands . Good luck ,and by the way this would not have happened if you were using a slot on your safestrap. If you were in fact using a slot. Just hold the power down for over 25 seconds. Then safestrap should boot whatever you do do not do a factory reset in stock recovery

Maybe I am confused about something, I had already read through that thread a few times and it seems like that assumes you have ADB access or a way to gain it which I do not have. Issuing any of the commands listed in that guide just gets me the same response, Error: Device not found. I saw one guy asking my question and GSLEON said to download the update.bin, but I am not really sure what to do with it and they didn't elaborate. In addition, the advice he gives him about it says the computer should fail to recognize my device but still acknowledge something was plugged in but that doesn't happen with mine. He also suggested trying in linux so that is what I am working on doing now but I have never used Linux so I will see how that goes.
I may just not be understanding something, I'd be in your debt if you'd elaborate on something I am not understanding but in any case sorry if I asked a dumb question. I appreciate you responding, it's good to know what I need is in that thread, I guess I just wasn't able to figure it out yet. I will try harder

[Q] Boot Loop

Ok so I've tried looking through these forums for several months in an attempt to find something that will get my kindle fire HD 7" out of it's boot loop that I put it in while trying to root. Turns out I skipped a step.. Anyways, so far I cant even get it to show up as a drive on my computer. It will show up in the device manager and I bought the factory fastboot cable so it will go to fastboot. However, I've tried using system restore programs such as kindle fire first aide and the SR tool. KFFA has been the most productive in the sense it will attempt to restore my kindle back to factory but fails to download the required files from drop box. It moves past all that saying no error and tells me to reboot my kindle, which then returns to looping at the Kindle icon. I'm seriously stumped here as no help program I've seen has been able to do anything so far. Amazon said the warranty ended a year ago and to buy a new one. Any help would be much appreciated and if you don't mind reply like I'm computer illiterate because this was my first attempt at rooting anything.
Thanks!

Kindle Fire HDX 7 reboot loop

ok, i cant seem to find much about this loop. But am well willing to do whatever to get this fixed. Amazon support was of no help other then to tell me that they'll sell me a refurbished HDX 7 for $150, as my warranty expired last week. Anyway what can i do to get past this problem. I suspect my kids did a software download that failed. The unit reboots, comes up to the desktop and sits for a few seconds then reboots again.
Do i need software, a Cable or what.. I really am looking for all needed help.

Kindle Fire HDX7 is 100% Factory Install, nothing was rooted or unlocked. I am an IT Engineer, just not an android or programming, so i just dont know the lingos........ So the kindle gets past the white and yellow boot logo, and brings up the desktop, sits then reboots. sometimes i can slide the menu down before it reboots.

If I had to guess I'd say you have the latest update from Amazon, and you cannot root, unlock or do anything with it, but that is just my guess.
The only thing i can suggest is to factory reset it. Turn it off, press Volume (+) and Power button to turn it on and proceed with factory reset from there. Be careful because you will lose any files on the tablet...
Good Luck

My Rooted HDX 7 is stuck on the kindle fire boot screen...

I have already tried a hard reset, which did not do anything. Also, I don't have a Windows computer, only a Mac (no judgement please), so I can't use any of these unbrick utilities. HELP!
1!
Never mind, my kindle has decided to troll me by factory resetting successfully as soon as I posted this thread. Disregard this.
Never mind again, I am still in desperate need of help. I can't navigate anywhere on the device and it's just a flashing screen.
