So, I already have updates turned off on the Play Store. But it keeps sending me some weird wakelocks that prevent my phone from going to deep sleep, so I decided to Greenify it.
The only problem so far is that Amplify "forgets" that I donated while the Play Store is hibernating. Nothing else that I noticed, tho.
Do you guys know if, generally, it is safe to keep Play Store greenifyied? Would you recommend Greenifying other Google apps? I have most of them frozen by TiBu anyway.

Those apps which you seldom use, freeze or uninstall.
Play Store can be greenified but you will have to put up with apps like Amplify not recognising donations/purchases.
Don't greenify apps like Google Play Services, Google Services Framework etc. While it may work out, the dangers of greenifying them far outweigh the benefits.

A new CM version from johnnysylt should fix this problem
Before I deactivate all SystemUpdateService$Receivers in Google Play Services, may I know if it can be reversed?

Yes
Thank you Bender80.
This can also be done in Rom Toolbox- JRummy app, in Auto Start manager. Long press on Google Play Services, hit Advanced, and knock off those permissions.
Thanks for the heads up
Are there any other permissions you would suggest stopping?

New CM build contains a fix for that problem. I think it works. Other user mentioned in CM thread that battery drain is gone caused by Play Services. Don't know if it's fixed in other Custom Roms.
I usually don't revoke any permissions. Sometimes they have too many affects on other apps. Afterwards you can't remember what you have changed, if something doesn't work as normal. But this battery drain was a pain in the ***.

In combating the wakelocks with Google Play and keeping my phone asleep by forcing hibernation, I've been playing with hibernating Google Play Services and Google Services Framework as well as Play store. One of them being hibernated caused the play store to show no connection.
Anyone have a specific route to preventing Google related wakelocks using Greenify without breaking the store?
I've seen people been able to shut the Google Services framework real good but never did they ever post a link to a thread or trick or anything. Unfortunately the method they used does not involve with Greenify. I personally also want to know such thing too! Since I don't know how, maybe the things you can do right now is to only hibernate the store. Or try to limit the services framework activity by denying several permissions in AppOps

There is a app for xposed called nlpbounce, and it aims to stop wakelocks for google play and others, and if you get the pro version you can use it for any wakelick detected, its a pretty cool app give it a sjot might be what you are looking for
After an update on my xperia z2 recently my phone had steep battery discharge during the night when the phone was off. I had read that Google Play Services could be the culprit, so I disabled it, assuming that if it could be disabled, it could be enabled. Wrong! All my notes on Keep disappeared and that too was disabled, as well as my notes on various Docs I had.
My question is, how do I get back Google Play Services?
@slussen2
If you only deactivated the play services you should be able to re-enable them... have you tried reinstalling the latest version from playstore?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms
I'm getting so frustrated with this app, *constantly* reinstalling itself for no good reason. It hogs internal memory and ram for things I don't use.
I don't bother with android siri, Google music, books, photos, tts... I literally use *none* of the things it powers. I use the store to download and update apps.... And that's it. Even within the apps, I don't feel the need to talk to it or find out what song a game uses or any other nonsense.
I don't even need notifications for crying out loud as I keep any possible app hibernated with greenify (which play services will *not*stay hibernated)
I'm using a 3rd party keyboard, and camera app
How can I remove this overall hog once and for all, or at *least*truly disable and be able to delete the large amounts of data for the damn thing and leave it sitting idle, unused and inactive, if Google insists it be on my device, technically....
I'm even rooted and removed all of the apps I mentioned (Google books, music, photos, etc), but yet this bugger insists. It's almost like spyware in the sense that I'm not using it at all and yet it remains on my phone taking up valuable space and resources.....

not recommended to remove google play
it is very possible to remove google play, google services framework and gapps, however, they are still many apps and services that depend on it, for example, i couldnt use youtube anymore when i removed anything to do with the playstore.
im afraid you will just have to keep the setup you have as google play is an important part of the android operating system
You can disable system administration of google play services and then use and try with greenify...
run this script and disable at leat about 90 uneeded services .. if you use the extended script. if it helped. just thank the guy who made this..

To see what would happen, i froze the play store (well technically removed it with app master but kept it in my recycle bin), and then deleted the play services.... nothing has stopped working on my end. but the play store is probably all i honestly use. for youtube i ditched the app and just made a browser shortcut to the site on my home page. i dont have data so have never used maps or anything like that. i use gmail but didnt keep the app lol (dont use it enough to bother as its not my main account). its a bit of a pain having to restore it to download updates, but ive noticed even a difference in battery life since i started doing that about a week ago now.
the only gapp i use is the app to download other apps, lol.
You can use Servicely to disable all Google services. Alternatively, You can remove all Google services and try to replace them with this
As seen in the screenshot, how to stop these wakelocks. Its the main battery drainer.
Rom: RR 5.7.4
kernel: Radon 2.8
Can be many different reasons for Google services draining the battery. I had one recently on nexus 5 and it turned out to be google play store causing the problem, even though the severe battery drain was being registered by Google play services. So if you want to rule that out try force stopping Google play store and see if the wakelocks go in services.
