Info and stuffs
This might be a minor update, but there are quite a few changes as far as reception things go.
I've flashed this 4 times and it installs differently each time. So MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!!!
After Flashtool from ZV4, I had to do a battery pull when it was trying to boot up. But then it booted right up.
I need to run this for a few days before I do any changes for BARE?????
More later
Thanks for the quick update! Unfortunately for me I am stuck at the LG logo though. Any ideas? (Did clean wipe twice as well as a few battery pulls)

What bootloader are you on? You need to be using ZV4 bootloader.
Also check the md5sum.
Let it sit for a couple minutes when on the logo. It seems to take it's sweet time.

Not sure on bootloader, I would assume ZV4 as I had that originally when I got the phone *and have since just flashed updates from here* I can check if there is a way?
I did check the md5sum, that matched. I am guessing the above?

Your on ZV4 if you haven't rooted ZVA, B, or C. Try flashing it again and give it a couple minutes at the logo. It should then go to the updating android thingy.
I kinda wondered if this one would give us issues. It just didn't feel right when I was working on it. But it runs just fine when installed. And I've installed it 4 times.
If that doesn't work, try flashing the ZV4 rpm, tz partitions and ZVB modem, after flashing the rom. And before booting it up. Maybe?
If there are others that have issues, then I'll need to re-work it.
Edit. @ssmercurys OK, I'm pretty sure, at least in your case, its the rpm,tz partitions.
So flash the ROM, then flash the zv4 rpm,tz partitions, then reboot.
You can find them in post #2 or #3 of almost all of my roms. I'll get them here too.

I have them already as I've had issues with that on every new ROM base. Let me give that a shot here quick and i'll report back.
*Edit, no go. I'll give the ZV4 tot a try tomorrow and flash after.

You shouldn't need to use flashtool. Unless you want to. I did it just to clean things up before updating.
Try putting the rom on internal sd and remove your ext sd. Then flash it. Your ext sd might be causing issues also. It's just another easier option than flashtool. And it helps rule that out. Or as the culprit.
I'm in the same boat as ssmercurys. Stuck at the animated LG logo, I tried flashing the ZV4 zip file you mentioned and it did not help.

Read all of page one and see if any of that helps.
There's been 25 dl's, and only 2 of you having issues so far. Even if only half are installed it's got to be something with your phones causing the issues.
Install without ext sd card.
Flash the zv4 rpm, tz partitions in post #2.
Make sure to give it a couple minutes at the LG logo. It's kinda slow on first boot sometimes.
Clean install. So wipe /system, /cache, /dalvic, and /DATA.

Tried that this morning. No go. Still gets stuck at the LG animated logo.
Just wanted to report that i flashed the Fulmrics rom this morning, it flashed but no sim, no data. So i flashed this & everything went fine, booted right up, setting it up, almost done & haven't even had a fc. Wow though, i haven't seen this much bloat for years lol. I know its totally stock, but. Hey, question, now that I've flashed this the modem will stick correct? I mean if i were to flash an aosp rom later I'd have this modem still until i flashed say zvb modem yeah? Thank you for this!

It'll stick and so do the rpm, tz partitions.
But be careful with the international roms. Some of them include modems and other partitions. Easily fixed with a flash though.
Ok thanks for the info. I know this is $hitty of me to ask here, but what the heck I'll give it a go, I flashed your zvb last week & tried getting xposed to work & could not get it. I think maybe installed wrong one, can someone direct me to the exact one needed, that would be much appreciated
Edit - I saw somewhere that the roms need to be deodexed, maybe thats why not workinh

So you got this ROM to boot? @engine95 I just did a full ZV4 tot restore to stock/re-root and this still sticks for me at the LG animated logo. I think I have ruled out it is not my configuration, rolling back to ZVB works just fine.
**Update for you - So I clean flashed ZVB after the ZVC failed after TOT/root. After ZVB settled in, I left it as is with no changes and dirty flashed ZVC over it, it is now doing the "Android is upgrading" Hope this helps, if you need anything from me let me know.
I'm on stock rooted ZVB. Is it possible to dirty flash this? Just don't really feel like having to reinstall everything. I bought my phone with 4.4.2 and OTA'd to ZVB then rooted

Check out screen below. So far I've noticed they changed the Wi-Fi icon and the LTE (Spark) Icon. The LTE icon now looks like AOSP and doesn't take up half your bar.

Version RC1 based on Wind 1.46.1500.3.
This ROM is designed for Wind variant only, READ EVERYTHING before flashing
I worked very hard to write the update.zip script and modifing the stock ROM to do this as flawless as possible. I am also providing my own direct mirrors at my own expenses
Everything is done practically from scratch, so any donations will be appreciated!
Boot partition (kernel) will not be touched or included in this ROM, so Wind users can safely flash away!
Features:
------------------------------------------------------------
deodexed
zipaligned on boot
1% battery steps notification icon
overscroll glow (white)
disabled capacitive button lights
allows it to go to mininal brightness when dark enough (autobrightness)
minimum clock speed to 192MHz from stock 384MHz to save battery
my build.prop tweaks
blocked ads
DSP Manager
removed some bloat
removed Wind's bootanimation (that was ugly as hell....)
disable ext4 journaling
sd cache to 2048 to improve speed
updated crap loads of system apps
I am probably missing a few more, can't remember all
Planned Features:
------------------------------------------------------------
30 Media Steps (done)
Transparent Scrollbars so it does not look so "old" (done)
CRT off animation (done, thanks to heyjoe66!)
Webkit text reflow disabled by default (looking into this)
Fix garbled camera preview and video playback (looking into this)
* done means will be added to next release
Bugs:
------------------------------------------------------------
- Mail cannot start and FC every time due to some hard coded lines in Mail.apk, it requires an odexed framework. FIXED IN RC2
- If you are coming from another custom ROM, you must nand restore to original or RUU to global. Otherwise, you will get codec issues for lines in videos and camera previews.
Install instructions:
------------------------------------------------------------
Unlock bootloader
Install TWRP recovery
Nand backup (boot, system)
Flash Clear Wind zip
Reboot
If you are coming from another custom ROM:
Use hasoon2000's toolkit and install original Wind's kernel or flash RUU
Install TWRP recovery
Nand backup (boot, system)
Flash Clear Wind zip
Reboot

I will be deploying through fastboot, no need to flash custom recovery theoretically. And the deployment only flashes the system partition, I also have a stock unmodified version of system(not even rooted) so you can always go back to stock if necessary.
So all you need is unlocked bootloader, but you can always relock it after you reflash my stock system.img through fastboot
I'm willing to beta test it
(Side note: I'm in the need of the stock wind rom, hope you have it )

You can find the most recent WIND/GlobaLive RUU's and most others in my public Dev-Host folder (linked below). I uploaded them here because if was very hard to get an open download slot at FileFactory.com (used by Football & TMartin) Dev-Host has been reliable me (I donated a little $$ to them as well, so we can all have easy access to these files).
***I got all of these RUU's from Football & TMartin except Globalive 1.46.1500.3 which is from bbs.gfan.com (Chinese Web Site)***

Turns out, you can't use fastboot to flash images that big.... I am not sure how RUU could. I searched it up, seems like a lot of RUU's are having the same issues.
You will need to use custom recovery, for this one, I chose TWRP. (might work with CWM)
It is in your best interest to do a nand backup for now with your stock unmodified system because I never tried RUU if it can fully recover. I can provide the stock recovery image later so you can restore using custom recovery and flash the original recovery image via fastboot then relock, no need RUU at this point.
You flash RUUs by renaming it to P85IMG.ZIP (correct me if I'm wrong) have it on your sdcard (don't remember if Internal or external) then boot into HBoot. It will find the file and flash it. Not sure if you must relock your bootloader or not.
Wait....I sent this with Tapatalk?

Yeah, I am aware of the process, but it is just that i found some other HTC devices getting the errors. I am not sure how RUU handles the process, even renaming it to "P85IMG.ZIP" might end up extracting the img files inside, one of them being system.img.
for the global RUU's, they come in exe format, I think it walks you through the process to restore it, but I never did.
Have you tried adb commands?

Pretty sure within recovery, I can adb shell and use dd to copy it over, but it will require 1.5GB + on the sdcard for the uncompressed system.img. so yeah, that is why i made the update zip instead, easier for people to use. If they are required to use custom recovery, might aswell make it easy for them

I would hit you up with a thanks, mine are all used up for today. Will owe it up tomorrow. The picture looks great though! Nice and tidy rom. I too can not stand the boot animation and all the bloat from the stock rom.
No camera (lines instead of live image), no WiFi (error), no Exchange Sync (force close).
Wiped /data - still no success.
What's wrong? What kernel do I need?

Because you are using a Wind variant, and you have installed a custom ROM with custom kernel not supported by Wind variant. you need to use the toolkit to flash Wind's kernel and flash Clear Wind again

Can you point out where can I find a stock 1.46.1500.3 kernel?
BTW I flashed [Kernel]Amaze[2.6.35.13](v009)OC~1.73/JRCU/UV/CIFS+UTF-8/Power Saving[Mar-13] kernel now.
WiFi is now working, but still no camera/Exchange.
Are you sure Exchange force close can be kernel-related?

Faux's kernel has different video codec handling, your camera or any other video playback in youtube etc in horizontal will look like that until you install the Wind's kernel. You will need toolkit version 3.1, not 3.0 on xda. you can find it on android-dev.us
I am getting FC's on the Mail app too, I think it is the result of deodexed framework. I see lots of other ROMs are having the same issues logged in thedebug monitor. Anything else FC's?

No other FC so far.
Just flashed stock kernel. No go, still lines in camera.
Wiped data, system, cache.
Trying to reinstall the rom.
UPD
Performed a clean reinstall. Epic fail.
Same here, getting lines in the camera. Everything else works fine (besides mail FC)
Okay some of you might know that even with knox triggered you can still flash a custom rom and it will work great and you can go back to the stock rom with knox triggered of course by doing a backup of the rom before flashing a custom rom.
I have flashed every custom rom that @Silesh.Nair has for download for the mega 6.3 and they all flashed and device booted up without any problems, i did not test every feature in each rom but i just tested wifi and camera mostly and they have worked like they should.
So any member with the i527m version of the mega can flash any one of the roms that are for download by @Silesh.Nair which you can get from his link in his signature of his post..below are all the custom roms i tried..just the info screens only.

And if you notice were it says SElinux status it says it is permissive instead of it saying enforcing like when you are on the stock rom with knox. Hope this will help some of you out and at least you can try a custom rom if you like, i use TWRP recovery 2.6.3.0 for all the installing of these roms and my backups of my stock rom.
I will put up the pic for the lego rom shortly as i could not find the pic for it at this time...lego rom pic is now included. :good:
Awesome post. Save a lot of time to find out which one works and which one doesn't.:good:
I personally have tried CM11 and Beanstalk.I like both of them but stick to CM11.I also tried Slimkit bit it went into a boot loop for some reason..
For both CM11 and Beanstalk, they both display phone model as GT-i9205; but I manage to change it back to SGH-i527M from property build file.
Also, the notification light don't seem to work on my phone even though I have enabled them, could be a hardware problem in my phone. But so far, the phone runs very smooth. No complain at all.

Yes, you understood what I meant.
OK, so earlier I tried to flash Resurrection Remix using TWRP and it failed! I rebooted the phone but it would not start up. So I rebooted into recovery and restored the nandroid backup. Now the phone is back to stock brand-new-in-box state except for TWRP being the recovery program.
The stock ROM of my phone says Android V4.2.2. I recall reading that the RR rom required V4.4.2 or higher. Is this the reason why the flash failed?
So now I'm thinking of flashing the latest CM11 from Silesh Nair. Would this be easier to flash from stock ROM? Also, do I need to install SuperSU on the stock ROM before I proceed to flash CM11?
Thanks again!

Try the newest TWRP recovery from @Silesh.Nair download server here and go into recoveries folder and then the TWRP folder and download the 2.7.0.5 zip file as these recoveries have kitkat support and put it to your internal or external sd card if you have a external one and flash it with the TWRP recovery you have in your phone and re-try that RR rom as it should flash it, as TWRP will also root the phone for you if it detects that your phone has not have it..and if you like to try CM11 you can also.
If you need the SuperSU v1.93 in a zip file which you can also flash with TWRP and just put it into your sd card of your phone also..and you can download it here UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip and after flashing the newest TWRP recovery you can flash this afterwards to ensure you are rooted.
OK,I flashed TWRP 2.7.0.5 and then CM11 successfully. Phone booted up fine. I just noticed that I'm not getting LTE signal like I did on stock ROM, I'm only getting 3G. The phone is locked to Rogers. Does CM11 support LTE? Any other custom ROMs for the i527M that support LTE?
Also, if I want to try the RR ROM, do I need RR-specific gapps or can I use the CM gapps?
Thanks again!

I flashed both CM11 and RR custom roms on my i527m mega and it shows 4g well it shows LTE on the my phone which is the 4g in my area as my wife's phone shows 4g instead of LTE...so it should work..i see you have the i527m model and did you flash the right rom as one will show melius3gxx and one will show meliusltexx in the title of the rom and you will need the meliusltexx one to have 4g working.
And with the gapps check out @Silesh.Nair post here and in his signature you will see GApps with 4 links to them..most members use the BaNkS gapps for custom roms as these gapps will have 4.4 kitkat support which all the gapps in his signature have. :good:
I did flash the LTE version - CM11-20140602-UNOFFICIAL-meliusltexx.zip. I also flashed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip from TWRP.
Although my phone is locked to Rogers, my carrier is actually Fido and the Fido LTE SIM card works with Rogers without unlocking. As I mentioned, I had LTE on the stock ROM prior to flashing CM11.
Any other suggestions to try?
Hi SM, still trying to figure out this LTE problem. When I flashed CM11 and RR using TWRP, I only did the factory reset option. Should I try again using the advanced wipe options? If yes, which partitions should I use?
Thanks again.

Well I installed CM11 again and lte was working and I checked around in the ron but could not find anything on a setting for the bands.
In TWRP use advance wipe and check the first 4 boxes Dalvik cache, Cache, Systen and Data and try reflashing the CM11 rom and see if kte will show up.
Sent from my SGH-I527M using XDA Free mobile app
OK, I just did the advanced option to wipe dalvik, cache, system and data. Then reflashed CM11 - still doesn't get LTE. Also the carrier says Rogers Wireless instead of Fido on the lock screen.
Do I need to change the APNs? After reflashing, there are 4 APNs created including:
Fido FTE = ltemobile.apn
It's weird that it would create a Fido APN yet display "Rogers Wireless" as the service on the lock screen.
@starmaster10: I see you have tried so many custom ROMs on this biggie phone! Which one of all these do you finally prefer? OR maybe just stock Samsung itself?
Well, to be honest, all these non-functioning this and that on custom ROMs (LTE, WiFi, touch, etc.) has scared me to take the risk of custom ROMming! I just wish by now, a non-invasive rooting method existed for Mega 6.3" with KitKat. Man, on other phones, it's just so easy and no-brainer to root but with Mega! Naah.
Mega is a production phone for me, all I wanted was to root it (I don't want custom recovery) that doesn't screw Knox!
Well the two custom roms I liked the best was resurrection and the dirty unicorn rom as those roms had some nice features in them..but I am on the 4.2.2 jellybean right now for a while already..I will most likely install the kitkat 4.4.2 NE5 rom in a while and at least I can still install some custom roms down the road..and knox is triggered on my phone due to rooting and installing a custom recovery TWRP 2.6.3.0..as it is good to have backups in case something goes haywire.

Hi,
I want to install a custom rom for a friend that has an unlocked SGH-i527m. I wanted to ask several questions:
1. Which ROM is both fast and stable with minimum numbers of bugs!? I think KitKats are fine. I need something that doesn't give my friend a headache.
2. The latest download link provided by Silesh.Nair is for InvictaOS-7.1.2-20170704-athene-v4.0.zip ... Android 7.1.2... Is it stable?
3. Is it possible to install any ROM that is in the i9205 section? What other i9XXX can I install on this device?
4. Do I have to look for a certain recovery for each ROM? Or can I use the latest recovery available? I have seen some devices that there is a specific recovery for each ROM.
Thank you in advance.
My Model is a SGH-I527M.
Baseband version. I527MVLUCNE6.
Can anyone tell me which phone this Mega1 ? Mega2 6..3 or what????

Ok, i'm fairly new to this stuff but have successfully rooted and modified several of my devices over the years. I've been attempting to upgrade my vs985 to as close to stock 5.1.1 as i can and after much reading decided on jasmine. I was rooted on kk 4.4.2 12b and I had no problems. the main reason i wanted to upgrade was for compatibility with my android play car stereo. I didn't have twrp so first i downloaded flashify and quickboot then flashed twrp from flashify. All good so far. Next I downloaded jasmine 9.0 and 9.1 or at least i thought lol. As it so happened i mistakenly ended up with one of the files being just the kernel for 5.1.1 35b. Must of been a long day cause I mistakenly failed to backup my current system and proceeded wipe data, cache, dalvik, and flashed the kernel file. As you might imagine it didn't turn out very good. I was stuck in boot loop. Fortunately I could still get into download mode so I was able to use the lg flash tool and I brought it all the way back to 10b stock firmware. Then i grabbed stump and rooted and flashed twrp again. at some point i noticed my cell signal was all over the place, up, down , no signal and it roamed almost constantly if there was any signal. I've had this phone and service for well over a year and never had anything like this at all. I knew it was something I did. I checked the back cover to be sure it was on properly and had good connection with the antenna and all checked out. I decided to go ahead and do the upgrade to jasmine 9.1 hoping this would correct the issue. Well no dice. I did create a backup this time and proceeded to wipe everything and flash 9.0 reboot then wipe nothing and flash 9.1, i guess as you call it "dirty" then reboot again. Here is a link to where i got the zips and instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63305722&postcount=4842
in the instructions it says "RESET factory from within ROM (in Settings) - REQUIRED" . this step seemed strange as why would i do a factory reset on my device and erase everything i just did? would it not return it to original? I wasn't even sure if that was what he meant so i skipped that. After all was finished my signal was still all over the place could hardly make a call. it was bad. So once again I used lg flash tool and returned it to stock 4.4.2 10b, this time I wiped the data, cache, delvik and system. To my complete surprise the signal had not improved, in fact it could have actually been worse. As I said waaaaaay at the top of this post before i started all this i was running 4.4.2 12b, not sure how i ended up with 12b as i don't remember any upgrades after i downgraded to 10b and rooted. I froze the ota's with titanium backup but maybe 12b was pushed before i was able to freeze them. Anyway I couldn't figure out how to get 12b back now so I just flashed the 4.4.2 12b modem instead, This time I wiped cache and delvik before and after the flash then rebooted. This fixed my signal, everything seems normal now. no roaming and good signal. my software build however still shows 10b, but I guess thats correct since I only flashed the modem.
I really want 5.1.1 on my G3 but I need my signal too lol. can any one help me figure out how to get this done, can I flash the 12b modem on 5.1.1 this is where i got the file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/development/rom-jasminerom-v1-0-t2904641 it is way down the bottom of the page. Sorry for the extremely long post i just wanted to make sure i didn't leave any details out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance
@Allen227
i dont know if jasmine flashes the L modem when you flash it, but if it doesnt, that would be why you are having issues after flashing the rom.
other than that, i dont know what would cause modem issues.

@Allen227
TL;DR but yes, JasmineROM flashes the appropriate modem. v9.0 only flashes the 24B modem because it doesn't contain a fuller set of the necessary partitions to allow the 35B modem to work by simply replacing the 24B modem with the 35B one.
You can flash the 35B bootstack after flashing JasmineROM 9.0 and the 9.1 update, or SkyDragon 6.x, but you must not be on the 35B bootstack before flashing either UNLESS you also flash the 35B bootstack again after flashing the ROM.
For reasons why: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=64064555
Edit: I meant to add, the 35B boostack contains the 35B modem and everything needed for it to work with JasmineROM 9.0/9.1.

In the future, please do not post the same thing in two different threads. This is against XDA's forum rules. Also, no reason to hijack an only partially related thread. I answered you in the JasmineROM thread.
Sorry for rule breaking, actually i did not aware of that. will avoid surely next time and thanks for reply. hats off to you.
Thanks for your help guys. Last night I figured out my phone was allowing me to send and receive text messages and make outgoing calls but was completely unable to receive any calls. Signal still terribly inconsistent, it would be on 4g one minute then you could watch as it dropped then no service. There'd be no service for 3 or 4 minutes then it would repeat that cycle again. If I switch from global to cdma/let in settings it would immediately regain full signal. Then the cycle of it dropping out would start again. I got to looking through about phone in settings and realized my imei number was missing, all zeros. I'm assuming that probably is the root of my problems. Not sure what to do, I doubt Verizon can help. Phones not insured or under warranty anymore. I haven't researched this New development on te forums yet it got to late last night. If anyone knows of this problem I could use your help. Thanks

If you go into the main Verizon G3 section or possibly the non-Verizon G3 section and use the search field to search for "IMEI" you'll probably find a helpful thread. I think it involves the QPST program on a Windows PC. You'll need the IMEI that it's supposed to have, so hopefully have that on the box or Verizon's website lists it.
Sometimes that's seemed to happen for some people when flashing TOTs, KDZs or ROMs. I've been lucky, it hasn't happened to me through all my flashing over the past year. Once you get it fixed, rooted and put TWRP on, you can back up the IMEI partition in TWRP. It's called something else in TWRP like EI or something - I forget.
Good luck!

I have spent sooooo many hours on this. The qpst apk wont see my phone I have done everything the tutorials suggest. the instructions are only applicable if there are no issues, in other words, in a perfect world. I'm sure its something stupid and very simple but I don't even have a place to start. First, its hard to believe this works on all OS's, but it doesn't state anywhere what it is and isn't compatible with. that info would be helpful. i have spent 4 hours a day for over a week trying to get this fixed and I'm no closer than i was when I started. Very frustrating. I'm still open to suggestions or any help that can be offered.

Disclaimer: Flash at your own risk. I am not responsible if you brick your device. Happy Flashing!!!
Flashing instructions:
1. Backup then wipe current rom.
2. Flash 10b efs restore you created from 10b kdz or TOT or you can try the flashable 35b bootstack.
3. Flash rom and restart wait for a bit it will start optimizing.
4. Rom should boot up and you will see 4g signal with bars. VS985 users still need to enter this apn from here. https://apn.gishan.net/settings/769_13_verizon_apn_settings_for_lg_g3.php
5. After entering APN 4G with signal will come up. It has the r roaming icon just make sure data roaming is selected. Dont worry you are not being charged roaming. 3G and 1X working.

Yes on your first question. I will look at the zip and see if anything would cause that. Are you wiping first then flashing the rom and then flash 35b bootstack and then reboot?

I wiped then flashed as I was already on the 35b bootstack. When that didn't work I just flashed the 35B bootstack and tried (didn;t work) then tried flashing the 12b boot stack... tonight I'll try the wipe, install, flash bootstack (35B) and see if that works.
Thank you! I appreciate your time!

Can you tot back to 10b or restore a 10b rom and use that backup efs Zip file by autoprime.
Then boot into twrp flash the efs backup restore it created then flash rom then 35b bootstack then reboot. I'm going to reflash the rom just to see if this happens to me.
Update: Reflashed just as I explained and the rom is booting just fine.

Efs info: I met you halfway you can Google about the bootstack.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/efs-lg-g3-efs-backup-restore-t2907329
OK, I found the system image/modem image and boot images and flash program for them from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56100153&postcount=1 going to try that today.
once I install these images, and then backup the efs, do I need to boot into the 12b system first or can I just wipe again, restore the efs backup I created then install Prime / 35B Bootstack and reboot?

You can also go back to 10b via kdz. Here's a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140 to download the file and the software to use to go back to stock 10b. Then you would root again and install twrp and flash Lg g3 backup and restore zip from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/efs-lg-g3-efs-backup-restore-t2907329 It will create the 10b restore zip for you.

Yes,
Boot into the system to make sure everything is working then reboot into twrp then do your 12b efs backup and then wipe and flash the 10b restore zip/rom/35b bootstack and reboot.

Thank you for all you responses and input. It is appreciated!!
I gotta say thank you SO much for this! Never thought I was going to be able to run a non-Verizon based stock ROM or 5.0 UX with working 4G. Had tried countless hours with Cloudy and Fulmics and could never get it to stick through the first reboot. I was on XDABBEB's 47A stock based ROM and figured I would try flashing before messing with TOT and all that (more of a weekend thing) and all I had to do was wipe system, data and caches, flashed ROM zip then 35b bootstack right after (without leaving recovery) and everything was good to go. Didn't have to set APN's or do an EFS restore or anything. I do have the little roaming "R" above the signal bars, but that's merely cosmetic. YOU! DAH! MAN!
Edit: Just gave you the remainder of my "thanks" for the day :good::laugh::good: Sorry that's all I have to offer for now

Glad its working for you. Thanks for the update and yeah the instructions maybe just used as a fallback if your having issues or if anyone else is.
Thanks THEbigSWEEN! I've been trying everything suggested and still could not get it to boot.
I installed XDABBEB's 47A / wiped / installed this one and its is working.. Complete with 4g.. Still have the little r but I'm ok with that for now..
Only issue is it says 3minit is out of date and will not let me get into settings..
So not sure if a reboot or something else I installed caused this little hiccup, also usually on wifi so probably didn't notice immediately either, but I was still getting the 4G indicator but it wasn't connecting. After adding the APN everything was back to golden though. Easy way to get APN to show up for anyone who doesn't know, if you switch network mode to GSM and wait 5-10 seconds the option will show up.
As for the 3minit out of date error I don't recall seeing that or having any issues switching between a few of them, but shortly afterwards I switched to the circle battery from G3 Tweaksbox. Maybe it was a certain one or category you were selecting?
Edit: Oh, and glad you were able to get it to boot following the same course I took! Everyone should be able to enjoy some fully functional 5.0 UX goodness!

I ended up having to put in the APN as well. Thanks for the advise on that!
All is well at this point. The 3minit thing is still occurring but it's a minor thing. can't see anything else that is not working right at this point.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
If you want to help out follow the building guide and then submit a patch to our Gerrit instance.
Installation Instructions are available on the wiki but the basics are below.
*NOTE*: You must be Bump'd for this to work. This requires flashing via custom recovery *TWRP* for "ls990”.
1. Download the ROM and Open GApps (recommended Open GApps here). You are going to need to use the arm 7.1)
2. Put both on Internal Storage
3. Reboot into recovery
4. BACKUP CURRENT ROM
5. Factory Reset/Wipe if not already on LineageOS 14.1
6. Flash the ROM ***(if installing GApps flash it prior to rebooting or you will have to Factory Reset and start over)
7. Flash GApps 7.1
8. Reboot
9. wait... wait... wait...
10. Profit
To get root/SU, flash the arm su package available in the "Extras" download section or here.

Best rom ever for this device i came from resurrection remix .. pixel .. fulmics ... crdroid .. this one is better than all of them.
In camera app there is no 4k recrding option but you can use other camera apps and get this option. thermal and performance is just fine but not like stock 6.0 based roms but better than RR rom. Tnx a lot for keeping cyanogenmod alive
this rom have some problems with gapps some of them not install complietly and some of them don't work ...
Beautiful ROM! S'much appreciated.
Settings, More, Cellular Network, Carrier Settings produces the error:com.android.phone has stopped
Open app again. There is a reload/refresh circular button to click on the second line before "Open app again".
Having issues locating where/how to update PRL due to horrid DATA reception which is nothing new to this location.
Freedompop is the carrier.
LS990 running (latest) LineageOS version 14.1-20170611-NIGHTLY-ls990
Since Cell/DATA was not beautiful before the ROM Flash and horrid after, I flashed Modem VFC and although possibly imaginary, the connection is more stable but also still poorly and "apparently" not as good as before.

You need to flash stick to update prl properly but there are other options if you search for them. Carrier settings has always been an issue I'll look at giving that option again.
Flash "stock" STOCK - I was wandering around searching for a "stick" to flash. LOL Thank you very much for the reply. As a side note to this posting however the other options to refresh or update the PRL do not work as in ##72786# or *#*#72786#*#*. The later does seem to want to work but where it should normally prompt for the MSL, instead just goes to a blank screen with a dialer.
Now for the real issue: I'd like to keep as many of my applications on my ext SD card as I can. I can't move any of my applications to the ext SD card. There is an option in developer options that theoretically allows you to move all applications to the SD card, however, when this option is selected, there is still no effect.
This was an issue with marshmallow as well as CyanogenMod 13 I believe but was address appropriately in CyanogenMod 14. Again - I believe, but please don't quote me.
Thanks again for the release

Make sure you have the latest twrp wipe and install. If you are installing gapps make sure to install prior to reboot.
Last two builds...
Has anyone had any success booting the last two weekly builds? The 8/30 and 9/6 builds both go into a bootloop for me... the Lineage startup logo never appears... tried many things including erasing and clean installing and I get the same. Going back to 8/23, all is good again...

I think it was an issue with one of the CVEs that were merged but I haven't had a chance to figure out the exact issue yet. I'll get the build pulled.

I really appreciate the work done on this ROM! What I ended up doing is using a working boot NANDROID and restored that after installing the update. It worked fine for me but looking forward to future offerings with a working kernel.
I think it is this commit https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/189075/ which is causing the problem. I created the revert and I'm going to let some others test before merging. I don't expect it to be an issue and we can probably get it in before this weeks round of builds.
The latest download is available -> https://download.lineageos.org/ls990. Let me know if there are any issues with it.

I installed the latest update without any problem. The system booted up just fine. Tried Magisk this time for root and it also is working fine, passed safe net.
Secure Boot Error
I'm having some small issues with my most recent installation of Lineage OS nightly on my G3 (LS990).
I did the following:
I installed TWRP.
I advanced wiped the cache, system, and data partitions.
I flashed the LineageOS zip (lineage-14.1-20170913-nightly-ls990-signed.zip).
I wiped the dalvik cache.
I flashed the LineageOS su add on zip (addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip).
I flashed the GApps zip (open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico_20170914.zip).
I rebooted.
Everything seems to be going ok, but everytime I reboot, I see a "secure boot error, error 1003" at the top of my screen. Is there a way to get rid of that message? Also, is there a way to install SuperSU onto the device, or is the su add-on the root for the device? I enabled apps to have root in the developer options screen. The hash sign in the status bar at the top really bothers me for some reason. Is that something built into LineageOS or is that part of the su add-on? Is there a way to hide that?
Thanks for the help.

I can't answer your question about the error message (have never seen that) but you can install Supersu without any problem. I used it on all nightlies until this one, tried Magisk this time and it also works fine.

The only way to get rid of that error it's to install an older factory firmware (I think around zvb) and flash from there or go with stock. It isn't an issue but it lets you know that you aren't running a stock image. You should get it booting into TWRP and Lineage but not if you go to fastboot.
SuperSU and magisk both work fine if you don't like the stock implementation

Have you run into any issues with the cellular data connection only showing as connecting to 3g? At my house, I get 4g lte, but now LineageOS only ever shows me connected to 3g.
Thanks.
