OnePlus X issue apart from SD Card - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm facing the following issues apart from SD Card
1. Sometimes, when unlocking the screen with pattern it lags.
2. On pulling down the notification drawer it lags and freezes for about 10 to 15 seconds.
3. Turn On/OFF Airplane mode lags
I guess above 3 are software glitches. Yes or No?
Did anyone faced these issues?
Do I need to replace the device or I have to wait for software update?

well 1)on toggling FLIGHT MODE IT LAGS A LOTT!!!!!!!!!
2)pattern unlocks lags sometimes
3)CLOSE MOST RECENT APPS CROSS BAR GOES MISSING

I'd wait, they appear to be software glitches. They'll fix them eventually, or you can wait for Cyanogenmod

[Q] Touchscreen problems on lockscreen

I was wondering if anybody experienced problems with the touchscreen on the lockscreen.
When I wake up the phone from deep sleep and try to enter the pattern to unlock the phone the touchscreen behaves like it has a loose connection. While I am drawing the pattern it cancels the input as if I was not touching the screen anymore. This happens at completely random times but only on the lockscreen.
After a few seconds, maybe around 20, it works as intended again.
This happened already on GB and continues to do so on ICS. Having changed the Kernel and Roms a lot with all kinds of wipes lets me think that it is a hardware issue.
Does that happen to anyone else?

few tablet issues; wifi, screen flash, touch, shut downs

Just bought one... have the newest update but my wifi still shuts down once I hit the power button and i am unable to find a fix. Second every now and then, and becoming more frequent, when i touch the screen a black oblong shape will flash black ( almost like a thick lighting bolt shape) about a third of the screen. Has anyone else had this happen? Also The touch screen itself wont respond properly, I have to touch multiple times sometimes to get a response.( not to frequent but enough to be an annoyance ) lastly it will power off a random at least 1-2 times daily. Other than that I like it, just has a few bugs to work out.
The screen flickering and wifi have always been bugs with both Sony Tablets with the later being fixed in release 5, or at 'seast it should've been, if thats what your on.

For the wifi problem you can try installing "Advance Wifi Lock" (google play).. just install the free version, that should fix your problem.. let me know if it work!
What device?
If it is the Sony Tablet S, factory reset to fix most issues but there will be a few issues like screen flickering hidden in the settings while changing notification sounds and a few system server issues where the OS crashes to the boot animation and then System UI crashes, system server crashes in to a bootloop of crashes and stuff.
So system server/system UI is a bug sometimes.

AOSP 4.2.2 - Status Bar Lockup

I've noticed a problem on both the CM10.1 and Carbon nightlies where seemingly at random the status bar locks up rendering me unable to drag down the notifications interface. This was not an issue on 4.2.1.
A reboot always fixes the problem but it's still a minor annoyance. I've been trying to identify specific apps/services I've been running when the lockups occur but as far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason to when it happens. The only constant I'm aware of is that the lockup always occurs as I'm attempting to drag down the status bar to access the notifications. It'll usually get about 1/4 of the way down the screen then all of a sudden it goes away and the status bar no longer allows me to drag it down. I can usually use the phone for several hours (while checking notifications frequently) before this happens but sometimes it will even occur shortly after a reboot. The phone is otherwise fully functional following the lockups.
Has anyone else experienced this or is aware of a fix?
I also notice this once in a while, also the animation for expending the notification drawer seems choppy

Freezing, reboot and get stuck, sticky screen loading on Qualcomm RN4

For a week or two now,* I have been having some funny things happen with my Redmi Note 4 (Qualcomm, Global) phone.
Before that it had gotten water in it and basically shut down entirely, but they fixed it and got it up and running. When I picked it up they showed me watermarks on the screen, saying that the screen had frozen only once but that it may just be lagging.
Since then I have had a few symptoms of an issues, perhaps hardware issues, but potentially something that I can fix without paying more for parts.
Here are the things that happen:
- Music stops suddenly (screen on or off) and the music app has to be reopened (DoubleTwist, Miuiu's Music app, etc); Somes while in Doubletwist, if I click to visit home screen (square button) than the music stops. (this is the first issue that I noticed).
- 1-2 seconds of white screen before already-open apps appear after selected; Sometimes problems with apps loading or screen goes black when loading
- When closing apps or returning to home screen, it looks like the desktop(?) background comes up and then a second after is is re-populated with icons as if system is refreshing the home screen
- Once any of these issues begins, it usually worsens and the cell phone gets slower, behaving more and more strangely until not even useful to me; Reboot clears it right up for an hour or two or whenever this wierd stuff starts to happen again
-It seems like if I make a point of using the phone modestly, slowly, I can avoid these issues from starting up
- Sometimes reboot rometimes hangs on initial black loading screen
- Sometimes if I hit the power button to turn off the display, I can not turn it back on with that button (neither does the battery-dead orange light flash), so I have to reboot.
-When I turn the phone screen off while it has been working fine, I come back later, turn on the screen to find that it is now on the boot logo screen and it stays until I hard-reset the phone.
So, these are potential issues I have guessed at:
* Screen damaged? So far, other than watermarking at the top and some backlight bleed, sensistivity is perfect on the phone, and symptoms involving screen always seem to be triggered more by apps or pressing buttons.
* Apps or Android corrupted/internal memory damaged? I backed up via Settings and did a Hard/Factory Reset, then restored from backup. I still have the problems.
* RAM partially damaged? I test RAM with two apps and none of them showed issues. Namely my available RAM and used RAM reported always add up to the 4GB my phone has.
*Other Hardware Components failing? I used 3 apps to check all of the hardware devices and sensors that I could think of. Vibration is the only thing that does not work, and honestly, I don't care much about vibration.
Today I have suspected that settings may being at fault, and/or battery savers turning off my audio. Battery savers often identify my music apps as using "excessive amounts of power," perhaps because the speakers at involved, but it does make me think... I removed any battery-related and security apps, then turned off all battery saver options in settings earlier today. In 2 hours of music listening after that, I have not had any shutdowns, but I am not convinced I have solved the problems. In the weeks after this, the issue is back and the audio issue is always followed by the phone operating very sluggishly.
I have done a factory reset and restore, and the issue persists. Do you think there's any point in trying to do a clean reflashing of MIUI? Could it be a software issue or definitely hardware?
What advice can you give me?
Thank you for reading.
You can try booting in safe mode and then check if the problems still persist. Other than that, I suggest you to get advice from senior members of the forum.

Miui 9 does not have safe mode to boot in.

Question [Solved] Bootloop noticing after MIUI 14 Update

Firstly I wanted to clarify one thing that my phone worked okay after the update. I didn't realise it has updated until after a boot loop.
Just FYI The camera in my phone have been crashing randomly when taking pics and the pics weren't having the full resolution. It was 1280x720. This wasn't an issue for me and I ignored it for like 3-4 months.
So my redmi note 10 have had some random reboot issues lately which i didn't give much attention to. It wasn't frequent just rare random reboots. Few days back I noticed my phone rebooting while in use and it started to loop for a few times and when it loaded into lockscreen right after unlocking, the power button started to press automatically triggering the power option screen and then the emergency calls as well. It stopped after a few taps on the power button.
A day or two later it rebooted once again while the recorder was on and and this time it boot looped a few times and showed the lockscreen and crashed booting back once again. A few tries after that it booted up and I was able to use it for another day.
The very next day, it did the same. Started to boot and loop once again. But this time when the battery is sufficient enough or the phones cool and haven't been used for a while, it boots into lockscreen but freezes and crashes. At one occasion, it stayed just a few more seconds long enough to open the passcode screen but crashes before I could type anything. Then it loops once again and before even reaching the lockscreen, boots back into MI Android Powered screen right after the three dots blinking page. And randomly it boots into lockscreen as well. But once the battery is down or the phone is heated enough, it barely goes into lockscreen.
Booting into safe mode also shows the same. It sometimes boots into lockscreen but doesn't show the 'safe mode' text in the bottom.
Right now when I had kept my phone off for a while it booted into lockscreen twice and the screen dims immediately before freezing and crashing.
The third time it just went back to the MI Android powered logo right after the three dots blinking screen.
Guys please let me know do you think this is a hardware issue or a corrupt software update?
I know software update issue can cause bootloop but does it reach till the lockscreen? My phone consistently gets into the lockscreen when the battery is sufficient or the phones cool enough.
What last update did you perform?

MIUI 14 which i didn't even realise until I checked the settings app one day after a boot issue
What version do you have?
For me see screenshot, works fine!
Backup your data and clean flash with Mi Flash Tool, you can then exclude any software problem
This issue have been resolved.
The issue was the CPU couldn't handle the heat once the device turned on and would reboot right after reaching the lockscreen and loops.
Thank you for all your suggestions, though.
