I'm running on a fresh installation on my MT2-L05 (Chinese ver) LP 5.1.1 with TWRP and SU Root.
I tried different GApp packages which I found by googling, but none of them seem to work perfectly. After a lot of trials and errors I found a package that works partly but unfortunately causes Google Play Services and Play Store to crash constantly (with or without latest Updates, with and without Cache cleaning, etc.)
So that's why I would like to know, what worked for you
OpenGapps (OpenGapps.org): pick ARM platform and nano (confirmed by several XDAers here) or try other variant.

EDIT: In case that somebody faces a similar problem. I got it working after many (>20) flashes. This is what I did:
1. Flashing the official LP 5.1.1 package from HUAWEI
2. Flashing Recovery
3. LATEST SUPER SU --> Reboot
4. GAPPS: gapps-L-4-21-15.zip --> Reboot
5. Backup
6. Deleting the DATA partition --> Reboot
7. Fixing MicroSD and Int-SD permission with the respective Playstore Apps

Current rom: CM10-20120919-UNOFFICIAL-p4
I installed gapps, and Play Store constantly crashes. When i run it, i get message "Google Play Store has stopped". I know, there are many advises, but nothing helps me
I did:
1) Cleared data and cache (settings-> applications-> market -> Then clearing cache and through Titanium Backup )
2) Wiped Dalvik cache
3) Wiped factory (through recovery and Settings)
4) Wiped cache
5) tried to make dir /cache/download (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25212906&postcount=26)
6) tried to use gapps jb-20120729 from here :http://goo.im/devs/cdesai/gapps/gapps-jb-20120729.zip and jb-20120726 from here : http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip

I had the same problem till today i could fix it.
Try to download this : http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip and install it through the CWM recovery =) Worked for me ^^ Gl.

Thanks for advice. Unfortunately, can't use it I have CM10, it's Android 4.1.1, jb... gapps for ics won't work

I have the same problem as described by Fire_cat and I did the same steps to overcome it. I did research the forum to try to get a better understanding of this issue, to no avail. I also experience the same problem with CM9 and CM10 with appropriate gapps for these versions.
I disabled goo applications and was able to install one app successfully Rom Toolbox Pro after which the problem started all over again.
This strange behavior appeared 6 days after me first rooting and flashing CM10.1. Strange because it happened overnight when the day before everything was smooth.
Whenever I load Play Store, install or update an app, it will download it and when it hit 100%, the tablet (P4wifi) crash and I can see the CM Logo for a minute. As said, I cleared all cache and data multiple times, fixed permission before and after.

Just a quick update.
Las night, I started over but this time using the gapps-jb-20121207-wingray-signed.zip someone suggested might help.
It was unstable untill I disabled all google apps, launched Play Store, downloaded Opera and then rebooted to the CM logo.

I started all over again, this time using the last gapps-jb-20130129-P75xx.zip, Still as soon as I log into my Google Account when first booting the tablet, it systematicaly crash. Gmail is acting normaly. Any attemp to download an app will reboot the tablet. Some random crash.
For the sake of it, I tried with a different google account. Same problem.
And how to solve the damn reboot problem
I was finally able to restore to a functional CM10.1 with latest Gapps and install apps from Play Store without crash!
I was unable to connect the tablet to my mac or pc using Debug options.
On my mac through DDMS, I was able to access the file system but not to completely browse it.
So I decided to navigate the file system on CWM to see what it looked like. I noticed that the file architecture was very wrong; In /sdcard was and other /0 with inside an other /0, so the file system was repeating itself as many time as I tried to install CM10, CM9 and CM10.1 without never formating /system.
Here's what I did to get a stable tablet:
1) Use odin to flash the latest CWM (Choose yours on droid basement(cant post link))
2) Reboot in recovery
3) Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache and Data
4) Format /System
5) Reboot, put tablet in debug mode, drop latest Nightly and latest Gapps
6) Reboot in recovery and install both from sdcard (no more recurent directory showing)
7) Reboot and get a stable tablet.
Voilà
I'll try to help if you encounter a similar problem. I come from the iOS world so I'm not that much experienced with droid.

On my "old" i9300 (Samsung GSIII), I try to install a lot of ROM. All of them works well without Gapps. But if I install Gapps (Open Gapps - nano, micro, mini - and others for Android < 6), phone freeze, reboot or say "Unfortunaltly * stop working" (* is wildcard for all Google apps) at boot.
Of course, I erase /system, /data... all ! And I format all. Nothing works !
So, is it possible to install the strictly minimal (...only Play Store ) only with apk ? I try to install Google Play Services and Google Play Store, but it doesn't work ("stop working").

Hello all -
I recently installed CyanogenMod 12 (mimicking Android 5.0.2) on my LG Optimus G At&T (E970). I then attempted to flash GApps (ARM, 5.0, pico) onto it. Every time I try, however, I boot into several errors, the annoying "Unfortunately, ... has stopped". The apps involved in this are Google Backup Transport, Google Play services, Setup Wizard, and sometimes more. I am forced to resort to a manual install of the key GApp APKs (Framework, Account Manager, Play Store, and Play Services). It would be a great help to me if I could acquire some assistance from anyone with a possible solution.
As a side note, I have used the following methods to try to install GApps:
-Standard TWRP 2.8.3.0 clean install
-Open GApps app (with root access)
-Will update after I try FlashFire app

Hi, everyone. I'm a noob in custom ROM installing or Android in general so obviously my first try ended badly.
Device is LG Nexus 5 (just 5, not 5x,5p or whatnot). I chose LineageOS 14.1 to install, and followed all the steps.
OS itself installed, I believe, correctly (atleast without any errors during install), but Google Apps don't install at all.
I tried, like, every single option on opengapps dot org (choosing "ARM" platform and "7.1" Android) and there's always this message in TWRP log during install: "NO changes were made to your device".
I tried to download GApps manually afterwards, from the phone, but it's not the solution: Google Play Services are constantly crashing and connection with Google Account is interrupting.
I hope you can help me :crying:
UPD. Problem solved. There was not enough system memory

I have a GOME C71 as a secondary phone which i use for my work as a test bench (mainly website development)
When i bought it on facebook, there was already all the google stuff installed, but the UI randomly crashed when I pressed the "running app" buton. So i decided to flash a stock firmware (found at needrom.com)
The flash was ok, but now, there is no GAPPS anymore (even if the ROM description says GAPPS included). Tried everything (some Google apps installer : didn't download anything, Installed manually the framework, the services and all other google apps : launch but stuck in verifying information)
So, if someone have a trick to make GAPPS available on this phone, or if someone has a custom ROM with GAPPS, please tell me as i really need google services for testing stuff.
