I don't know particularly about extended standby mode, but if you greenify an app and subsequently highlight it, you get an icon with a play symbol on top of the screen. Tapping it will run the app. After that you can highlight it again and then degreenify it.
So greenify extended standby mode again and try.
I already tried that.... When i click on the play icon it tells that the app has no launcher entry

So I have set my power saving mode to come on at 30% and for it to disable everything except wifi. The problem is that after I charge my phone back up, those settings remain disabled even though power saving mode is turned off, so I have to manually enable them each time. Is there a way around this?

What ROM and kernel is on your phone?
If you enable user specified power saving with your customized settings (30% battery => shut down everything accept wifi), and you did not disable this power saving mode, when exactly is the power saving mode disabled?
As soon as you plug in the power cable?
And is it not re-enabled automatically, after pulling the power cable out?
Sorry, but I did not exactly understand your issue.
"those settings remain disabled even though power saving mode is turned off" => Yes, that's correct. If the power saving mode is turned off, all power saving settings should be disabled.
This sounds to me like "normal" behavior.
Maybe I misunderstood something in your description.

I'm on stock 2.3.3 and KG2
And I meant that these settings do not revert themselves after I finish charging the battery. For example, at less than 30%, my power saving mode turns off syncing. But once I finish charging my phone back to 100%, the syncing is remained off, so essentially, my power saving mode never really turns itself off even after charging.
I noticed the same thing - it's very annoying to set my screen timeout to 2 minutes, and when power-save mode comes on, it gets reset to 30 seconds and stays there.
I ended up turning off almost all of the power-saving features, and setting the threshold to 5%. I'm running the stock rooted kernel with NoCIQ, so I already have a pretty substantial battery life (~24-30 hrs with normal usage and wifi at home).

Have a look at MyProfiles app from the Market.
Maybe it can help you to switch between different profiles based on system triggers.
Or use AutomateIt app to define rules when to toggle wifi, bt, gps, etc.
Just worth a try...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I kinda want to get to the root of the problem here as opposed to installing an app to mask it. Does anyone else know what's wrong with my phone?
There's nothing wrong, that's just the way it works, it change your setting when activates but doesn't change them back.
I no longer use it, since I have GPS/wifi/BT disabled unless I use them anyway.
Is it possible to complitely remove sleep mode (or stand by, i don't know difference) from phone using Android? Even if I press lock key, just to show lock screen but not be on sleep mode (or stand by, i don't know difference)??

My stamina mode is always on but appears not to work at all. I keep getting notifications on both wifi and LTE from all apps that can produce them (not only whitelisted), and I get them immediately even when the "queue background data" is on.
I tend to be forgiving because battery life is fantastic. With my normal use I usually don't go under 60% at the end of the day. The phone uses maybe 0.5% / h when idle.
Indeed, stamina mode does prolong the battery. I got 2days 18hours till10% on stamina mode without any wifi, but on 3G.
Always on with around 8 apps on the white list. Get 2 days of normal day to day use. A little less if on heavy usage

Always on, but as someone stated, i dont see it working. Dont get me wrong, battery life is amazing, just that my background data seems to be working same way doesnt matter stamina on or off.. for example i have torrent app, its not on whitelist, still downloads just fine after phone goes to sleep.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you want Stamina mode to always be on you have to change the setting:
Settings > Power management > STAMINA mode > Activation
to 100%
I did some tests because I was confused after reading the manual, and it appears to me that just toggling STAMINA mode to "on" does not turn it on permanently. It still waits for the battery level to drop to the activation threshold you set.
I personally set mine to 20% because I don't want STAMINA mode on all the time.
Let us know if you know more about this or experiment more and get some results. The manual is really not very clear on STAMINA mode.

Good observation, I haven't use the stamina mode since it came out of the box. How was the battery life when Stamina mode is on?

Great. I'm a little curious about the battery life of the new HTC M8 if they can also get 2 days in stamina mode? Same settings as yours?

It seemed very good, maybe half the drain of regular mode, but I have limited experience because the Z2 battery is so good I rarely go below 20% :victory:
Hey guys, yesterday I just got my third Z2 due to faults with the others and I simply don't understand what is wrong with this phone! My estimated time with stamina mode is down to 1 day and a few hours again down from 6 days yesterday night! Is it the way I am charging it or is it just buggy software? I don't have any apps I don't need on my phone and even tap to wake is off. The battery works normally I guess although it is draining a bit fast (7% in 30 minutes while using it) but I don't understand what could be causing stamina mode to play up!
Is there a work around for the notification lights not working as normal in stamina mode. Its the only thing that stops me using it daily.

Yes, you need to install Xposed Framework and load the Xperia Stamina LED module. You'll need to be rooted first however.

I've seen this "eco controller" in previous Xperia models' forums, but couldn't find it on the Z2.
Am I missing something?

I want to know is this two doing the same thing?
First i thought STAMINA mode only disabling data transfer only but stamina mode closes the Greenify app and its Auto hibernation when phone on standby.
To work Auto hibernation i have to add Greenify in STAMINA mode "APPS ACTIVE IN STANDBY" section.
Is this mean STAMINA mode also closes the apps on the phone?
If answer is yes then why i need Greenify addition to STAMINA mode?
Please help me out.
I'm using Sony xperia sp (C5303) rooted.

Well Stamina halts applications while the device is in its sleep. Greenify however, hibernates an application. A hibernated application won't run unless something wakes it up. Unlike Stamina, once you wake your device from sleep, all activities will be resumed!
You can benefit both of functionalities, by adding Greenify into the list of apps in the Stamina settings. This will yield a more battery saving result, being Greenify to hibernate apps, and Stamina to halt other apps from running, when your device is in its sleep.

I need some help. From where should I select Greenify application into "Stamina Mode'' list. I can't find any apps in standby section.
Right now, since I started using Greenify I had deselect Battery Stamina Mode. Sorry for the English.

Simply touch Stamina Mode. You will be taken to the next screen with Add Applications. Then add Greenify to it.

Yes, If you want the app to function properly while the phone is sleeping, you will need to add those apps in the Stamina whitelist as well
Is anyone else noticing that the power saving mode turns on automatically? I can't figure out what is causing this but it's driving me crazy.
This is a diagnostic question: is this happening when your battery level is over 50%? Or is it possible the battery has gone below the trigger level?
Try calibrating the battery and check your settings. Disable low battery conservation.
Clear system cache.

When you go to Settings --> Battery --> 3-dots menu and you click on "Automatisation", there are 3 options and one is about auto-power saving mode according to your usage
