Power Saving Mode Turning on Automatically - Samsung Galaxy S21 Questions

Is anyone else noticing that the power saving mode turns on automatically? I can't figure out what is causing this but it's driving me crazy.

This is a diagnostic question: is this happening when your battery level is over 50%? Or is it possible the battery has gone below the trigger level?

Try calibrating the battery and check your settings. Disable low battery conservation.
Clear system cache.

When you go to Settings --> Battery --> 3-dots menu and you click on "Automatisation", there are 3 options and one is about auto-power saving mode according to your usage

[Q] Power Saving Mode keeps changing my settings

So I have set my power saving mode to come on at 30% and for it to disable everything except wifi. The problem is that after I charge my phone back up, those settings remain disabled even though power saving mode is turned off, so I have to manually enable them each time. Is there a way around this?

What ROM and kernel is on your phone?
If you enable user specified power saving with your customized settings (30% battery => shut down everything accept wifi), and you did not disable this power saving mode, when exactly is the power saving mode disabled?
As soon as you plug in the power cable?
And is it not re-enabled automatically, after pulling the power cable out?
Sorry, but I did not exactly understand your issue.
"those settings remain disabled even though power saving mode is turned off" => Yes, that's correct. If the power saving mode is turned off, all power saving settings should be disabled.
This sounds to me like "normal" behavior.
Maybe I misunderstood something in your description.

I'm on stock 2.3.3 and KG2
And I meant that these settings do not revert themselves after I finish charging the battery. For example, at less than 30%, my power saving mode turns off syncing. But once I finish charging my phone back to 100%, the syncing is remained off, so essentially, my power saving mode never really turns itself off even after charging.
I noticed the same thing - it's very annoying to set my screen timeout to 2 minutes, and when power-save mode comes on, it gets reset to 30 seconds and stays there.
I ended up turning off almost all of the power-saving features, and setting the threshold to 5%. I'm running the stock rooted kernel with NoCIQ, so I already have a pretty substantial battery life (~24-30 hrs with normal usage and wifi at home).

Have a look at MyProfiles app from the Market.
Maybe it can help you to switch between different profiles based on system triggers.
Or use AutomateIt app to define rules when to toggle wifi, bt, gps, etc.
Just worth a try...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I kinda want to get to the root of the problem here as opposed to installing an app to mask it. Does anyone else know what's wrong with my phone?
There's nothing wrong, that's just the way it works, it change your setting when activates but doesn't change them back.
I no longer use it, since I have GPS/wifi/BT disabled unless I use them anyway.

[Q] System Power Saving

hi,
I'm using android 2.3.6
The "System Power saving" feature seems to be turning off my Auto-Sync - i cant get push emails on my gmail. Has anyone else noticed this?
Hence im talking about System power saving and not User Power saving mode
What's wrong with that? Auto Sync uses a lot of battery as it constantly draws new data from the server every few minutes, and System Power Saving is aggressive power saving, so expect most things to be turned off, so it maximizes battery life.
because I looked at the settings for User Power saving mode. it had the feature that disables the auto-sync process.
Thats why I didn't think using System Power saving mode will also disable the auto-sync. that would be kind of like double-handling. I guess im wrong
Hey there. If you want proper and customizable power saving get SiyahKernel, voltage control to tone down max frequency and 2nd core to manage active cores. The stock power saving feature is horrid.

Why does X-Reality keep turning off by itself?

I have a stock non-rooted Z2 and X-Reality keeps turning off by itself. I literally have to enable it everyday under display settings. Does anyone have this issue? Any idea on what might be causing it?

As far as I've noticed X-reality turns off when the device enter low power or power saving mode but doesn't turn back on when the phone is charged again. So your phone may be entering power saving mode and switching off X-reality every night! :good:
More or less. To avoid such a problem navigate to your low battery mode options and uncheck Turn off XReality when battery is on low level. Sorry for not so accurate names of options, Im using my mother tongue language on phone, but I hope you will found it

Battery Saver

Can't actually turn battery saver off when the battery is below 25%. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Weather I try to turn battery saver off in quick settings, or regular settings, it stays on.
Yes I have the same problem, it's my only annoyance with this phone (although I've only had it 2 days so maybe I'll find more!). On my old Note 4 I could choose what % the power saver came on at or disable it altogether but I can't find any options like that on this phone.
Anyone get a solution to this problem? It's been pissing me of since I got this phone...
What model? I'm on AT&T and there's no way to automatically turn on battery saver. Haven't had any problems toggling it on any battery level.

Change Samsung power saver GPS settings

Hey Guys,
I am trying to get as much battery life out of my S9+ Exynos (SM-G965f) as I can so I like to keep it in power saving mode. The only issue with this is using my phone for GPS navigation. While using google maps I like to just listen to the voice commands and keep the screen off to save a little battery. In power saving mode with the screen off it will kill the GPS location. The current fix for this is turning off the battery saving feature and then it will keep tracking the GPS location with the screen off. Problem being when turning on/off the battery saving feature it has an animation and goes through each of the setting when doing so.
Is there a way to edit the power saving settings so that Google Maps can still use the GPC location with screen off in power saving mode?
Also on a side note, my phones location keeps changing out from battery saving mode. How can I tell which app is changing the location type?
