Hi, after I rooted my Oneplus X and installed all necessary features like Xposed installer etc I cant get Greenify (donation package) to work, specifically the GCM Push notifications. It gives me an error that the ROM is incompatible. Is there any way for me to fix this?
Thanks!
Same here.
Haven't seen a fix yet...
Maybe it'll be OK on CM12.1 builds once they're available?

[BETA] Greenify 3.1.2 build 1, 1/26/2017 is on the Play Store for beta testing enrollees:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
Anyone tried it yet? Please post feedback here if you do. Thanks!
This new Greenify version uses Prescription. Read more here:
https://github.com/greenify/greenify.github.io/blob/master/README.md
From the Play Store listing:
"What's New
NEW: "Prescriptions (beta)", the community-driven precisely targeted blocking rules. (Learn more: https://github.com/greenify/greenify.github.io)
NEW: App shortcuts for Android 7.1.
Improved the support for privileged working mode (ROM-integrated).
Wake-up monitor and cut-off now works on Android 7.x in root mode.
Fixed wake-up monitor in root mode on the first installation.
Fixed root privilege check on some devices."
I have installed subject version Greenify on my system-less rooted 6.0.1 with Xposed. I have not seen any signs of the Prescription enhancement which is supposed to be in this version. I have seen Greenify activity logged in SuperSU 2.79-SR2 log. Everything seems to be working normally as before so far.
Thanks for adding the shortcuts in Android 7

I just installed beta Greenify version 3.1.1 build 1 from the Play Store. Working fine and no clue what changed . The people running Nougat will see the changes.
Thread title has been updated.
So just to clarify, prescriptions don't work past lollipop?
Where did that come from? I think Prescriptions applies to Nougat currently.

There is an issue when want to read the guides how to configure system via USB-DEBUG for some features to work on non-root Marshmallow (e.g. wake-up tracing or doze on the go)
There's no link passed to external applications (browsers).

It's my first time using Greenify on Nougat.
I installed the latest beta and granted WRITE _SECURE_SETTINGS, and DUMP, but I cannot enable Doze on the Go.
It says it is not compatible with my ROM or device, is it normal?
On Marshmallow, I could eanble Doze on the go with DUMP permission granted..
My device is Sony Xperia Z5C.
I can't read Chinese, but my "Doze on the Go" switch is also grayed out and says "Already enabled in Xposed features". Do you have Xposed installed like I do and what do those Chinese characters say ?

That says "My device or ROM is incompatible" (I guess, because parts of the phrase is cut out).
I don't have Xposed installed, and my device is not rooted. Does Doze on the Go on Nougat need Xposed?
p.s. It is not Chinese, but Korean

If you are using the stable version, you will not be able to enable Doze on the Go. I also had it. I think that the stable version is not fully compatible with Nougat. In the current beta (3.1.2 build1), it works and you can enable the option.

You can enable it in only one place. If you have enabled it in Xposed features, the other option will be greyed out. The Xposed option works better. Unfortunately, Nougat is yet to have Xposed.

I'm using the current beta, too. But I cannot enable Doze on the Go... Did you root your device?
I didn't, and just granted DUMP and WRITE _SECURE_SETTINGS permission through adb...
What I want to know is if Doze on the Go works on non rooted Nougat device...
I don't have N and don't know if DOTG works with N.

Hi guys,
I ported a ROM for the MT6735-powered ODYS Slade X55 and now I am confronted with some issues, like no IMEI and my camera shows too dark photos. WiFi and BT seem to work (I am connected to my wifi network at home) but it does not recognize any SIM-cards I put in..
So I have to play around with some libs. But copying of cam libs from lib/lib64 to the port's-lib folders does not work. Sometimes it ends up with black screen during the boot process and it remains in this state till I use the old libs from AICP rom. A litte bit strange...
Does somebody have any tips for me? I can provide the current ROM and logcat's if you need..
Good: It worked from the first minute, no more changes were required to boot the rom (instead of changing the kernel in boot.img).
So, if you can help me or want to, just tell me
Thank you!

Hi, btw there is a new version, I have to update the op. If your tab is able to boot this ROM depends on the SoC and some little changes to the ROM. The Slade uses mt6735 chipset, the rapid7 uses other chipset, I believe. So there are more changes needed for porting correctly. And I do not have such a tablet, what makes it difficult to try ROMs.

Hi,
I would like to de-google my phones ROM. At least I would like to replace the google package installer and manager (googlepackageinstaller.apk) with the installer from AOSP or CM.
Could you suggest me how to do this? If I only remove the file/folder from the /system/priv-app directory, my phone stucks in bootloops. Would like to avoid more mistakes like this.
Thanks

@JRapsky - Did you ever determine how to replace the Google Apps variant of "Package installer" (packagename: com.google.android.packageinstaller) with Android "Package installer" (packagename: com.android.packageinstaller)?
unfortunately not, sold my phone and bought a new one with LOS support
best regards

Process at your own risk!
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
Instructions
1. Install custom recovery - use my twrp
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Magisk\SuperSu additional packages (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and Magisk\SuperSu
Information
My port based on:
firmware: A320FXXU3CRD4 (Galaxy A3 SM-A320F 2017) Android 8.0
kernel: J600GDXU1ARE2 (Galaxy J6 SM-J600F 2018) 3.18.14
Removed only knox and few features (nfc, fingerprint, radio)
Fixed touchwiz home app to allow rotate
Work
- ril (calls + mobile data)
- wifi (current fix is workaround, need to review) - it's working, but need wait to turn-on, on wizard it can take a lot of time, after boot it will turn-on more or less fast (20-30 secs after boot), once it turned-on - it will work correct till reboot
- sound\mic, vibra, hardware keys
- gps
- both sdcards
- flashlight
Known Issues
- bluetooth
- wifi issues (it's working, but need review, see comment above for wifi)
- camera (working only flashlight)
- keyboard (it's working, but working in phone mode, you can change firmware to tablet in build.prop, but in this case should be issues with download languages)

work in p585m?
Thanks for t580 version! I already did the test and it works very smooth and fast. I love it and much more than android nougat. I hope you can make the camera work, since that is the only thing that makes me come back nougat!
Thank you very much for this great project!
Hi when I want to add a Google Account, I constantly get 'settings stopped' popup. Also, I can't add my Samsung account
Hi! Does someone know how I can get Ctrl functionality back?
OMG! I didn't have any hope about this. Regarding the camera, what do you exactly mean by working flashlight? Does it mean there is no functional camera and only the flashlight works?
Thanks for your great work.

My only issue with this rom on sm-t580 is that my samsung account don't work. It shows Processing failed.

For these days I have returned to the stock rom. But in the next few days I will test this rom with more time and I will give my point of view. But in summary everything works very fast much better than in nougat and it is more pleasant, at least the little I could try. All tested in a tab to t580 wifi version
Things that do not work and others that have worked well (including those already mentioned by the OP)
- Bluetooth
-Camera (Only the flash works to use the flashlight)
- Always on display this feature does not work. Maybe it will not be compatible, I do not know.
- Wifi worked very well, no problems.
- Samsung themes seems to work (a feature that we do not have present factory and thanks to it is a port of a cell phone we can enjoy it)
- I did not have lags for the short time I used it
At the moment this is what I can comment. Thank you very much OP for this magnificent port! He's a genius!
@Valera1978
This is quite interesting port and ROM. Fact that, most of Tab A Series tablet may not see official Oreo (8.0), your ROM may come quite handy.
good job!
Hell yeah Valera!!! You read my mind right now! Right before I logged on I was like man I wonder how stock Oreo that's like on my Galaxy s8 would look on here! Thanks!

Yes, full wipe and even format data since it showed 0mn internal storage after the first flash. I used the official twrp since the modded one was only for t585

Boot to twrp. Make a factory reset, than wipe data. Go back and wipe all, than install Rom. I hope this work for you.

In my spare time, try a little more. The account of samsung gives error in processing therefore the subjects can not be installed for example in addition to the synchronizations that this service offers you. In my case it is not of great importance, although it will be for other users.
I keep insisting that the system is very fast compared to nougat.
There are some problems due to the fact that it is an adaptation of a rom from a smartphone to a tablet. The keyboard is one, which is solved as the OP said by modifying the build.prop.
When applying a wallpaper, it does not look good in the horizontal format, it remains vertical. It is solved using other galleries / launchers. It's not a serious problem, it's just a detail I could observe.
Loading screen when the device is off, also presents problems of image resolution.
At the moment this is what I remember, I will detail more as soon as I can.
I repeat, I used the rom for wifi version in my t580 installed with the official twrp last version, after doing all the wipes and format data.
I congratulate the author of the rom, this is incredible! Thanks thanks!!!
Is there anyway to have the data partition decrypted? I've tried and it's still encrypted it.
