While using the Xposed module, App Settings, and using custom DPI and Screen for (Settings), Nexus Imprint will generate a "unfortunately, Setting has stopped" message when trying to set a new fingerprint.
To resovle - In App Settings, (Settings) write down the custom values so they can be re-enter later, Turn off (Settings), save and reboot phone. Nexus Imprint will now work after the reboot, add new fingerprints as desired. Go back to App Settings, Turn on (Settings), re-enter the values that were wrote down earlier, save and reboot phone.

I installed a new ROM (neutrino 2.5), I noticed now when I install an application now, at the top it gives me a notification, "tab here to configure privacy settings" (not verbatim). So I can go into an individual app and modify the settings. This is all fine and dandy but I have no idea how to get back to this menu once I modify the settings. Its a rom based on CM7 and I looked all over in the menus to find out where I can go back into the application and change the privacy settings, after I configured them on the initial install from the notification link. I locked some apps down too much and now they don't function properly.
Go to your apps and open pdroid
I have rooted my phone and I'm using SuperSu. I noticed that every time I open an app that requires root, I get a little notification at the bottom of the screen that says root access granted. This happens anytime I open an app that requires root. Is it possible to disable these annoying notifications?
Thanks
Every time you give root to a app there should be the option to remember your choice forever, so it won't ask you again.

Found the setting.
For anyone else wondering how to turn of notifications. Simply open the SuperSU app and select an app from the apps tab. After selecting, you should see a popup with different options, one of these options will say notifications. Click the notifications setting and a drop down will appear, from here you can choose to disable notifications.
Is there a way to change the selections you made on the EULA screen during the Setup Wizard, specifically changing things like allowing third party usage and diagnostic data? I've tried the Nova Launcher Activities method to start the SetupWizardTestActivity, but that doesn't lead to the screen where you select mandatory and optional portions of the EULA. I should mention I know this can be changed with a factory reset, but I'd like to avoid that.
I think what this check box does is just enables Activity Logs in Settings -> About phone. Just go there and uncheck it.
That item is for Google services, but does not allow for adjusting third party app activity logging.
From time to time various system settings get switched to off:
- Device administrators
- Notification access
- Accessibility
I've already deselected all MIUI battery optimizations, so not sure what's happening.
One potential culprit I suspect is Mi Cloud. When it's running a backup, I notice that these settings get reset, along with some other settings (my Nova Launcher; Google Keyboard gets selected as default, whereas I had chosen Swiftkey).
These are the ones that come to mind, or that I've noticed, but there may be others.
Suggestions?
I also notice that Xposed asks to reboot, as if it was switched off and back on.
Upgraded my Redmi Note 3 from MiUI lollipop 5.1.1 to SIimROM Nougat 7.1.2. My phone is rooted with Magisk & also has systemless xposed.
First, I want to disable quick settings pull down from the lock screen. I'm able to use every toggle on my quick settings screen without the PIN code. Wouldn't want to allow that without the PIN. Gravitybox Nougat doesn't seem to have an option to disable that.
Second, on MiUI, whenever an app accessed my location, I also got a notification that displayed which app was using location. This doesn't seem to be the case on AOSP Nougat, all I get is a location icon in the status bar, but have no idea which app is accessing my location. That isn't of much use, is there is a root app or an xposed module that can display which app is accessing my location?
Third, the max volume on my ROM seems to be too low, I can't hear most YouTube videos I watch without keeping the phone very close to my face. Which mod would be the best to increase system volume? I don't care about other equalizer settings & all that, just want a way to increase max system volume.
Fourth, when I first setup a lock screen on my ROM, it seems to have encrypted my phone. But when I turned On accessibility service of an app, I no longer see the secure PIN screen that was asked before at boot. Some searching made me realize that turning On accessibility disables encryption, don't know why this is the case. 4 of my apps need the accessibility service to do their tasks, is there no way to have the accessibility service enabled while also keeping the phone encrypted? There must be some workaround....
