Alright, so I've looked around the internet and found a little info about this issue
There's this case where if I enable/disable mobile data and wifi on my phone, it just crashes and goes into soft reboot
I've looked it up on the internet and not many people seem to talk about it, and those who do were asked to bring a log file before the issue, which i tried to get but this issue is completely random and I'm unable to reproduce it, it just happens to occur mostly when enabling or disabling wifi/data... Sometimes my phone would just be in my pocket and still does that random reboot.. I get a phone call or make one and the phone reboots, stock kernel or custom, stock dpi or custom..
I've look on the internet and I found this post on modaco forum
http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/...121-android-511-for-zte-open-c-kis-3/?page=10
Here's the post ;

The post isn't on forum specific for our device but from what I've read on other forums and posts, it's a universal issue present on basically any CM 12.1 running device
If the image isn't loading for you or can't open the link here is what's posted :
Open adb shell on a pc or terminal emulator on your device (if you have CM 12.1, go to settings > about phone > tap on build number multiple times, get back to settings > developer options and enable terminal shortcut)
type this in the window first : su
then :
setprop persist.sys.strictmode.disable true
I haven't tested this yet, I will download the latest CM 12.1 build and report back with my results if anyone's concerned
I can confirm that this works its not a solution but it's a work around , but it fixes it so, fine by me
EDIT : nvm issue still persistent -.-
I tried this on my xt1032 falcon with CM12.1 snapshot and it solved the random reboots problem completely.
The performance of the phone decreased a little bit overtime since then but i don't think it relates with this fix in any way at all.
Thank you VERY much for sharing this fix! I've been searching for this across the internet for a looong time.
Regards.
Idk about falcon, but since the adding of this patch, the issue is gone for me since the line i posted didn't work for me
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/128280/
The command i shared worked for some people but didn't work for others, but this patch fixed it for me and now I use cm 12.1 permanently
Glad the command helped though
Although the command worked for me and since knowledge is never to much, here comes a noob question: how do i install patches?
I have to confess that i get lost on those patch pages with so many links and i have a hard time knowing what to click, haha.
Btw, i think this random soft reboot problem should be included on the cm's known issues page even if it can't be linked to a jira bug report as they demand.
Regards.
Just install latest nightly and it should be fine.. I'd recommend a clean install though

I am running FlappJaxxx' AOSPxXx-v0.6a
When I go into Tools and try to install any of the launchers, Netflix mod or S-Voice, it always responds with "Failed to download / install ... "
Tools can download and install the ad-blocking host file.
I cannot put this in the development thread due to my post count, and I haven't seen any other poster with the same issue so I can only assume that there is something amiss on my end.
Has anybody else encountered this, and have you fixed it?
reflash the rom
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
The flashing of the ROM is not the problem, this issue has occurred on every FJ ROM that I tried to download launchers from, whether I try to download them before installing anything else, or later on it the life of the ROM.
Did you try and see if you had the latest update of FJ Tools?
I did,
At the time of writing 'Check for updates' reports v5.5 installed, but didn't return anything for Latest Version Available
I have also tried via WiFi and Mobile Data, so the issue doesn't appear to be with Comcast / My Wireless Network setup or AT&T.
Terminal Session to see if you can get FJ Tools to work
In FJ's original post he does show you how to get to a terminal session to fix this... or something like this...
either way do the following.... do not type anything other than what's after the dash -and hit enter after you type the commands
1. Start a terminal session
2. at the prompt type - su
3. note: This means you are superuser...
4. at the prompt type - fjtool upfjtools
5. go back to the tools section and check version and then if not updated update
If it works... hit my thanks button.
Good luck
I hit your thanks button, because I believe that fix does indeed work...
Thank you....g

I think that the issue is due to my not yet having any external storage.
Hi everyone. My Nexus 7 upgraded yesterday to 4.2. Everything is running correctly except that all of a sudden, last night, I could no longer access Google+ or Google Messenger; instant upload (which goes to G+ stopped working); and none of my apps will update. When I try to refresh Google+ I get the following message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Hitting refresh only returns the same message. I tried logging out and logging back in and it will not take my log in. Instead I get an error message telling me that G+ is unable to connect to the servers. I checked my internet connection and everything is working correctly. In fact I have no problem accessing Gmail, calendar, youtube Drive, GVoice, Etc (all on the same account).
When trying to update apps sitting in the update list, I get the following error if I try to update them individually:
If I hit update all, all the updates fail with the same error:
By comparison, I'm not having this issue on either a Galaxy Nexus or a Transformer Prime, both running 4.1 (they both continue to work correctly).
I'm at my wits end and short of doing a factory reset and hope that fixes things I have no clue what could be going on. Of course trying to find someone to speak to at Google is like finding hen's teeth. If anyone could advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, really helpful. This is why I hardly post here anymore. You ask for information and some numb-nuts always has to answer with something stupid like "just root it".
I was actually wondering if you have root, I will never encourage people to root when a problem can be fixed in a different way. Upgrading to 4.2 doesn't have to mean that you did it using stock-software.
Found a fix (no thanks to AmeesingNoob). I had to purge the Nexus 7 of all the Google accounts (Settings -> Accounts -> Google Accounts -> select the actual individual account(s) -> open settings menu -> remove account). You can remove all the accounts and your device will still function. Now make sure you are on WiFi and add your Google account back: (Settings -> Accounts -> Add Account). once you do that several Apps (mainly Google ones) will prompt you to allow access. once you get past that, everything should be back to normal - no need to do a factory reset and no need to root.
It's finally time for me to do what every XDA user done already - root my phone and use another ROM. I haven't ever before done this that's why I'm very excited.
I'm trying to follow this noob-friendly guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213910 . I read it like ten times already, but I still have some questions.
1. I want to have a CM rom. Should I get Lloir's CM 12.1 or the official CM 11? The thing is, I won't be able to get another rom for almost a year and I want a quite stable rom.
2. I guess I should install the latest TWRP 2.8 recovery from this forums, am I right? But then, why on the official CM download page there is a separate "Cyanogen Recovery" file?
3. According to the tutorial, I should install SuperSu, is this the right version?
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/
4. The thing I'm worried about mostly - my digitizer is damaged and I sometimes get "phantom touches", I can't tap anything on screen, the only solution is screen off & on. What if phantom touches appear when I'm in recovery? From what I read most things are controlled by physical buttons (which work), but not all, some requires to swipe. What then? Can I turn the screen off or abort the process and start again?
Thanks in advance for every reply.
If you need a stable rom you should stay on stock.
1. I use CM12.1 and used CM11 before. I prefer 12.1. They all have some more or less annoying bugs -> read the threads and make your own decision
2. Use the TWRP version which is linked in the rom thread. Cyanogen recovery has less functions and is not public released for x+ afaik
3. CyanogenMod is shipped with it's own su-management app. So no need to install SuperSU
4. you can turn screen on and off in recovery
Thank you very much!
An hour ago I installed CM12.1, I may say successfully, because it booted and now Play Store is downloading GBs of apps., so I can't in fact do anything .
Maybe just one lat thing. If I'd like to install a CM12.1 update in the future, do I have to wipe everything? Or just flash the boot.img and rom and that's it?
CM says you don't need to wipe, but Lloir sometimes wants us to wipe x)
In CM12 root must be enabled in developer options btw.

Hey guys, Pokémon Go should be literally unplayable on this device (stock ROM runs Android 4.2.2). I'm here to explain what ROM to use in case that you want to play Pokémon Go without lag on this device.
If the device explodes in your hands, and your face gets in fire because of your device's overheating, just don't blame me for the error you made for following my steps, I'm not a developer nor a computer.

Requirements:
You need to flash one of these ROMs: CM11 by pollos (leaving XDA, Spanish webiste, but I hope you all know how to translate it or just pick the link from the entire thread) or CM13 by EdwinMoq.
GLTools (no warez: GLTools [root] (gfx optimizer), if you want to use warez version, remember RAM memory, you'll just take advantage of it lately, remember)
Fix graphics lag:
Procedure:
Tick the three checkboxes and then, hit Install.

}
Put the red highlighted areas to the same value as the image shows.
That's all, reboot your device just to make sure that everything is saved successfully, and open PGO .
Side-effects:
Graphics errors, such as black areas or totally blank video data from some things (generally the map and the Pokédex).
Video feels blurry and sometimes distorted (when the graphic to show is too complex to render).
Fix GPS issues:
Procedure:
Download and install Artas182x's L9 GPS Fixer
Open L9 GPS Fixer and click those buttons:
1 - The device will cache an update.zip to the recovery, and a script. Then it'll reboot and flash the GPS drivers.
2 - Will ask for LTO pathfiles, those are going to help the GPS to connect with speed and accuracy.
The main problem that i found with Pokemon GO on P768 is GPS and not lags, the character is not walking correctly. This app GLTools fix this?

Thanks for letting me know about that other issue. I forget to put it in the post.
Please check my latest edit.
I finally updated to Windows 11 64 bit a couple days ago and the only problem I've found so far is that when clicking on hyperlinks in messages, nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution?

Thanks for that but I've already tried that and it didn't work. I saw that posted for pre-Windows 11 and it rarely worked then either, although for some people it worked for a day and then reverted back. I never had this problem until I updated to Windows 11, which is why I think it's related.
Another thing that happened when I reset the PC and Android apps is the Notifications section of the left third of the screen like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I didn't have that before, so I can I remove it? All I want to see are the contacts my messages are from and the messages themselves.

Seems as though as many soft resets, hard resets, doesn't matter how many times one will reset - it turns out to be another Microsoft Annoyance.
-- This work-around seems to do the trick for some folks until the issue is addressed by the dev team - but even the work-
around can be annoying depending on each individual.
I have this problem too. I can open links on all but one of my devices. Now that I think about it, it might be the only one running Windows 11. Very frustrating.
Sorry I do not own phone link. I have the old your phone version on w11.
