Hey guys I was recently trying to unroot my Nabi 2 and ended messing up the OS.I tried pressing Volume+ and Power to get the recovery screen but when I choose Recovery Kernel or any other option on that menu it either freezes my Nabi or turns off.I just wanted to know if it was possible to install and run TWRP.Thanks in advance!

Have you tried reinstalling TWRP via fastboot yet? Have you read through this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nabi-2/general/nabi-information-t3229119/post63388394 or more specifically this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63388394&postcount=2
You may have the wrong TWRP version also, there are 3 different versions depending on Nabi version bootloader.
I believe you said you had 2.1.27 or something, I don't think we have a backup rom for that version. It might be best to go straight to 3.0.13.

Ok, So I've recently updated to stock gingerbread 2.3.3 with baseband .35. I rooted my phone with the SuperOneClick method. Root was successful (Finally).
I then wanted to install a custom ROM, so I installed ClockworkMod's ROM manager, flashed the clockwork recovery image and everything. I decided to make a backup image in case I didn't like the new ROM. I then selected the "Backup Current ROM" option, and left my phone to it's own devices. When I got back about 5 minutes later, I find that I have a hard reset on my hands :| To add to that, I don't even have a backup image!
I tried doing that a couple times more, once, I even held the POWER+VOL.DOWN+HOME combo and all. The same thing happened each time. The recovery backdrop and a sliding progress appeared, after about 4 seconds, the progress bar stopped moving, it shifted back to the LG boot logo. If I kept the combo pressed, it would go on and on for about 5 times, if I released it, it would just continue on to the boot and I would get another hard reset every time. I tried "Reboot into Recovery". Same thing. Once, I selected "Install ROM from SD card", with the backup option selected. Somehow or the other, due to the combo or something, I came to a screen that had four options.
1) Reboot
2) Install from SD card:update.zip
3) Wipe data
4) Wipe dalvik cache and cache
I was able to scroll up and down with the volume rocker, but the only other button that worked was the Home button, which toggled between the screen I mentioned above and a screen where all of the text was removed and there was just the recovery background. I finally popped out the battery and booted, and got yet ANOTHER hard reset.
HELP!
It seems Clockworkmod recovery was not flashed correctly. What you see is the stock android recovery. The recovery key mapping is:
volume rocker-up/down
menu (left most button)- select current option
back - go back
the behaviour you see when pressing the home button is normal.
After using Rom manager to install CWM recovery, it is not recommended to do further operations through rom manager, best uninstall it. Instead, boot into recovery using the three button combo and do operations from there.
I would suggest try again to re-flash CWM recovery.

Thanks, but do you have any idea WHY using ROM manager is a bad idea? Just curious.

Well, one reason I've encountered is that while flashing cwm recovery, if the download fails for some reason, Rom mananger has flashed the incorrectly downloaded file without verification resulting in a fastboot semi-brick for many users.
Another reason is related to the way it operates the recovery. I'm not very sure about this point, but I've seen many people having problems with backups and flashing.
Thanks, you were brilliant. I flashed another recovery from ClockworkMod, this time with a WiFi connection, and everything worked great.

I just got a galaxy note 2 not a day ago and I finally managed to root it, but for some god forsaken reason I didn't have a custom recovery. So I used casual thinking it would help me out, but when it was uploading the recovery it said it failed. I'm now in a boot loop and odin nor casual are recognizing my device in download mode. I can't get into recovery either. Please someone help! I'm about to have a nervous breakdown.

I used casual last night and it got me into a boot loop, and i had a breakdown !
Are you able to get into recovery at all? power phone off, then press and hold the Home button, Up volume, Power button *until recovery starts* dont let go when the device boots, keep holding.
After using casual the phone was able to go into TRWM or something (whatever recovery program it flashes). If you are able to get into recovery do a factory reset (not the advanced one) and your phone should work.
my phone boot loops after every flash and requires a factory reset, but still keeps the rom add.
I am thinking casual is not the way to root

Checkout this thread by Adam Outler called "DON'T ACCEPT OTA UPDATES" in the Verizon Galaxy Note II General section. I'm aware that you aren't experiencing this specific problem, but it should fix your boot loop problem. You'll need the two files that he makes available just below the picture. I've had others tell me that they used those files to successfully fix boot loops.

Adam has stated that if all you want is root, using CASUAL is like "killing an ant with an atomic bomb." CASUAL is for doing an irom unlock. In short, you get everything unlocked - recovery, bootloader, and root
Also as long as you read and follow directions, unlike most people are doing, CASUAL works perfectly fine.
Hi guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy S Plus where, after flashing CWM with Odin, and installing cm11, I don't know why,I'm stuck on an infinite boot animation. But that is not the big issue. I need to enter Recovery Mode, where I have a backup, but the problem is that my Volume Up button is not working, so I can't use the Power Button and Volume Up(I also don't know what could possibly wrong with it, if you could help me also with that, it would be awesome ) one to get there. So I was wondering if there is some other method to enter Recovery, I suppose by computer. I think that when I used Odin, the device restarted being in Download Mode, and I think that it hasn't to be On to do that. I hope I'm not wrong.
Thanks
And sorry if someone already asked that

there was a problem with calling and i load this one. LeECO_Le2_X820_MAX_5.8.018S_REV2_CUOCO92.

now i want to load this rom but when i try to recovery by volume up and pover bottom combo,
its always shows me eui recovery screen.
i tryed many time to setup twrp but no happend.
i tryed to update by eui recovery screen but says no apk
any one help me?
advance thanks
You have to install twrp, you Lost it
Hi venezolano69,
thanks for your answear.
i tryed to install that many times. but it doesnt come on recovery screen.
i dont know whats going on
Did you solve this after?
I received my Le Max 2 yesterday....
I enabled usb debugging, unlocked the bootloader and then flashed the twrp recovery image which it says is successful but when I then exit and press volume up with the power key to enter recover I get the eui recovery screen....
That is strange.
I never had problems with this. Just follow the steps men.
Found the problem.
I was rebooting normally after flashing TWRP and then turning back off and then into recovery, instead of rebooting straight into recovery mode from fastboot. Once your are in TWRP in gives you the option to permanently disable the stock recovery system.

Hi all,
I own the Acer A3-B20 and had it rooted some time ago with Kingroot. Installed a system update by Acer a few days ago and since then the tablet only boots in Recovery Mode. Resetting to factory defaults does not help, the filesystem integrity checker shows a few modified files.
Only viable option in recovery mode seems flashing a new firmware and I tried to do so with the currently available offical ROM from Acer: "AV0L0.B3-A20.RV03RC06.WW.GEN1". Flashing starts successfully but ends in the android screen of death (lying robot with red triangle).
Does anybody have a better idea on what to try? I haven't been able to find another firmware to try except the aforementioned.
Cheers,
Jarek

Try Wiping your System partition then doing a Clean Install of the ROM using Fastboot.
Hopefully there will be a option in your Recovery to restart the device in boot loader mode(that's fastboot).
Hi,
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I'm not able to enter bootloader mode. Recovery mode has an option "Reboot to bootloader" which causes the tablet to power down, nothing else happens.
Also, booting up with Power+Volume Down/Up (tried both) only boots to the same recovery mode.

To access the recovery menu on my B3-A20, I use the Volume-Down by itself; The Power+Volume-up combination starts a Chinese factory test/debug menu.
