I am running 5.1 release from android-x86 on my tablet and the touch isn't working, when I try to run the same build on my notion ink cain tablet, it works perfectly.
So I checked device manager on both the tablets for touchscreen and found out that both touch screen are same.
Also on my notion ink cain tablet touch works only when the type cover is unplugged, when i boot to android with the keypad plugged then the touch doesn't work. Have to restart it with the keypad unplugged to get it working again.
So I kinda concluded that it might be a problem with my tablet not detecting the driver properly even though its already there but I'm not sure. Please help me out somebody,
I wanna know if there's a way I can test which driver file is running on my cain tablet which makes the touch work there and also is there a method that I can use to install/run the driver manually and make the touch work.
Thank you..
In my case the screen works, but the clicks get seem registered at the wrong places, is yours the same? Maybe you solved it but didn't update the answer?

New build (27/6/10): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=640785 Thanks Rhobuntu team! Check the linked thread for download and changelog. Fyi, for it to boot, assuming you have a touch pro or fuze, RAPH100 or RAPH110, you must change the mtype is startup.txt to 1910.
Working:
Touchscreen and Calibration
Keyboard
Screen rotation (press end call)
Sound (at least partly; phh got alsa working)
Simple 3G setup: first start Menu -> Network -> Configure 3G, after that run Menu -> Network -> Activate 3G and wait about 40 secs for the Dialog to appear
Sleep and power button (Works on Rhodium though)
Charging (Might require to be plugged in in Winmo before booting ubuntu.)
Wifi should be painless now.
Cpu throttling for better battery life
Framebuffer (Slowly though)
Not working:
Bluetooth
Video acceleration
Capacitive buttons
Radio
GPRS
Brightness control (Works on Rhodium but might work if you use shift+4 and shift+5 and disable auto-backlight in WM)
Gsensor
Proximity sensor
Stylus removal detection
I'm working on it when I get the chance. I'm a college student learning electrical engineering so I don't have much time to work on this.
and how do we install it? im downloading the file now does it run with haret same as android off a SD card or does it need to be flashed?

Same as Android. Just put the folder and ubuntu.img in root and change your mtype.
ok thanks i seen the img file and was hoping i didnt have to flash cbf re flashing again and having to re-setup my old OS
ive just extracted the folder and img file to the root of my mem card and changed the mtype to the same number as it says for raph 1910 when using android i booted haret and all i got is a white screen it hasnt changed for last 5 mins.
Tell me how it goes. Specifically, try using the command line. My / key won't register, whether with hardware or software keyboard, which makes console commands all but impossible.
I think mine is currently building a data image. Not sure it's compiling something in Haret.
sorry i just found out when i saved the start up txt in the zip file it didnt save i just changed the mtype on the mem card and haret booted, but its stoped at msmfb_start_dma 6321.563 ms after vsync request but all the numbers on the screen keep changing been like this for 5 mins or so.
now the screen has gone black and have a little blue square on the top left of the screen, is it still loading or dont know ?
Mine is doing the samething. I opened the keyboard and closed it again and the text came back still doing the same thing.

yep same here center lights now flashing and liths r on but screen still isnt doing anything
I just remembered, you should rename your img to Ubuntu.img not ubuntuarm.img or whatever it is. *Facepalms*
Also, file structure should be:
/Sdcard/Ubuntu.img
/Sdcard/Ubuntu/startup.txt
/Sdcard/Ubuntu/zImage
/Sdcard/Ubuntu/initrd.gz
/Sdcard/Ubuntu/haret.exe
Now that would help wouldn't it. Give it a try in a minute.
Well it's running but clearly the calibration is off. Looking around now.
Let me know if your / key works. I need that for the console.
yeah very hard to use with the pointer with no config and also it double clicks almost every time i touch the scrreen, maybe u could talk to the people from xdandroid and see if u can get there touch config to work with this?
OK it runs that's a good thing now it's time to start playing with the calibration settings to try and get it close. right now it's about a 1/2" from where I touch.
CLICKABLE
Yeah I know. How will you edit it? Through the console on your phone or will you mount the img in linux? I tried using the console but, like I said, my / key doesn't work so commands are impossible. Does it work for you?
Oh I'll save that for later. Just wanted to make sure it loaded for right now. I'll see what I can do. maybe it's about time to download a new copy of linux.
wow amazing, hopefully this will get as much attention as android

the only thing though is this woulnt support calls or sms as far as i know im not a linux person if someones able ot make a app for it then maybe but to me its more like running a mini laptop i dont expect to see any phone support it but if anyone else knows more would be good to know. but to me this will not replace android but might be nice to run asside to android like winmo and android is atm for me.
So, I've had a BGP100 for quite a few years, (Probably at least 5) tucked into a drawer.
I used to use it for my old Ipaq HX4700. As I remember, it was okay, but the emulators available were pretty slow and there was some noticeable lag between button presses. I pulled it out today to see if I could use it on my Touch Pro 2.
The results were... pretty bad. I can get my bluetooth stack to see it, however there don't seem to be any drivers. Supposedly, there are some official drivers and people keep suggesting that I use those, selecting the HTC Magician option on install. Unfortunately, the drivers seem to have disappeared. All I'm finding are broken links.
I then installed the GamepadHD2BlackPanther exe, designed for the HD2, but it crashes almost instantly. Finally, I installed the BGP100 software and that came the closest.
It works for about 2-5 minutes before loosing connection. It keeps popping up the "Bluetooth Serial Port" over and over again, asking me to reconnect. I have to exit all open programs and then restart bluetooth and then the BGP100 program. Then do it all over again in 2-5 minutes.
Anyone have a working solution for the Touch Pro 2?
Edit: and it won't let me post links, so I guess someone will have to read my mind.
Im about to buy one soon, just to try it on my TP2 (Tilt 2) but it seems to work on the playstation emulator just that the buttons are not pressure sensitive.
I was able to find a driver or program for the TP2 so the gamepad would work on it but i still dont have the gamepad.
ill try to find it and post as soon as i can
if i cant get it to work on my TP2 then i still have my Axim x51v
HERE IT IS, use at own risk because i have not tested it or remember were i got it
i think it might be a modified version of the tool
EXE inside zip
Hi. Touchscreen works perfectly, but it happens sometimes not responding or pressing automatically. When I lock and than unlock, touch works fine for a while.
I have rooted the phone and installed custom rom (X10S), but still the some problem. I tryed with Function Validation to test touch and it works great.
Is there a solution and what do you think, is software or hardware problem ?
well it could be something more simple then the touchscreen "not working"
as for it touching things you did not touch i get that from time to time when my hands or screen are wet, sweaty, greasy
for it not responding it could be that your phone just "freezes/hangs" from time to time.
best way to test this is going back to stock rom and testing it then .
Hi there,
I cannot get my Universal Bluetooth Mobile Keyoard to work with my Sony Xperia Tablet Z. Sometimes it will ask for a code, and before I can enter it an error message pops up saying "cannot communicate with device". Other times I am able to enter the code with no errors, however, key presses are not registered at all on the tablet.
The most confusing part about this problem is that my Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard works perfectly well with my tablet. And what's more, when the Wedge keyboard is connected, the bluetooth module in quick settings displays the Wedge kayboard name. While, when the Universal keyboard is connected, the bluetooth module in the quick settings doesn't seem to pick it up. I have also tried using both keyboards with my Nexus 5 running Android 5.0, and both keyboard work fine. Even more confusion!
It's important to note that while trying to connect either device, I've unpaired the other from the tablet. Basically, only one keyboard is paired with my tablet at any given instance. Therefore, this is not the issue.
I've heard that there was a bug in 4.3 Jellybean which caused some connectivity issues with bluetooth devices. My tablet is running a Cyanogenmod 4.4.4 Kit-Kat ROM, so that issue shouldn't be present here (at least, I think...)
Has anyone encountered this problem before, or have a solution?
Cheers!

I think it is an issue of CM. Try stock ROM or CM12.

Turns out CM was the issue. Running stock 4.4.4 and it works perfectly now! Thank you so much!
Hey guys, I got a Toshiba Encore (1st gen 8 inch). Got Remix OS running, but the screen is stuck in portrait. If someone could even suggest a way to manually edit the rotation from portrait to landscape (I know stock android has that option), I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm looking to get bluetooth working but it just attempts to turn on and then doesn't.

Read the Tablet Mode section. You should at least get rottion apps to work.
For bluetooth you probably need to find a linux bluetooth/wifi driver setup that works then try and recreate it with Remix
