After all this changes in XDA...a few Developers leaving...and other are rising, wich Rom is the most stable, smooth, fast and light at the moment?
Write your opinion about wich ROM are you using?
What about AOKP? Xperia X10S? CM7, CM9? Jaf (Fera's) ROM? Debrand Engine? M&M's MIUI? Donut HD? Wich path to take now ???????
Donut HD is good for X10
This is the link

If you talking about high performance, good for daily use, im proudly say DonutHD2.1 ROM recommended plugins are insidw my signature links if u view post here in computer internet or phone browser.

DiKeJĀ“s Dixperia 7, or wait 4 days and he will release Dixperia 8 - i cant wait for it, it will be awesome ROM ( like DX7)
try JAF/Fera for smooth butter like experience or MoKee v0.3 for lots of free ram plus amazing battery life
I also don't know which ROM to go for. I have tried Feras but never tried JAF - is it good? Like the look of the system menu with all the options on that ROM.
Whichever ROM I try though I always end up going back to WolfBreaks! Is JAF better?
Feravolt's ICS! Very cool rom, right now the best for our X10!

I've tried one of the ICS ROMs but it appeared sluggish because of the capped FPS. If that was not a problem I'd definitely use it
Been using donuts hd since it's first release...in my opinion it's the best for daily use.fast and reliable..it's like a superfast stock Rom without need of unlocking bootloader or changing kernel

Use a kernel that has fps uncapped then.

Hey, is it done at Kernel level then? I was using the Alpha5 ROM by ChampionSwimmer (AOKP one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1682343)
Would the kernel I used for that be uncapped? (FXP modded kernel)
Thanks

FeraVolt's ICS is very far from sluggish and fps is uncapped as far as it can be, up to 32 in 3d and 38 in 2d, sound is amazing, no colour issues, working deepsleep, it's fast, stable, smooth, beautiful and awesome. But, like all custom ICS roms, still no camera. It's your choice of course, but i can highly recommend this one. I never tried JAF but read a lot of good and positive things on that rom too.
I've tried almost every rom & I can confidently say that imo Z's CM7ZMOD is the best, it has the perfect balance & combination between speed & smoothness, stability & customizability
Right now I'm using Achotjan's Stock Replacement Rom which is also pretty good, not as fast as CM7ZMOD & a few minor bugs but still greattt

I'm not sure if fps uncap works with cm9 you'd have to check

I think that ThGo v.17c with ThKernel n4-2 ( or ThKernel n5-1 which is extremally powerfull ) is the best for Xperia X10 for now.
What you guys think about M&M's MIUI ROM? Is it up to date, stable and smooth like the ones named by you guys?
In terms of battery use, deep sleep and speed of reaction, RAM availability?
I used to have the Xcream, atm I'm on Dualcore 5.1, and I think I miss it...
What impression did you have?

I see, Jay, you think I'm a n00b...
I just wanted to start a discussion.
I think I know what I'm talking about mostly...
Just that since fxp130 cm10 there wasn't a ROM I really liked...
And fxp >130 don't have any camera abilities. At least 130 had no preview but it still took pictures.
That's why I posted this...

So i've been using a custom rom (ICS) and it got really laggy when i installed just 7 more applications the booting takes longer laggs and so on.
But with GB the battery and performance is mutch better on the Xperia Mini.
So what features do i loose with downgrading do GB?

Hmmm...you won't lose nothing much if downgrading to GB in phone features but you will lose a lot of apps in Play Store that compatible with GB....most of the latest apps/games that come out recently has the minimum requirement is on ICS and above....
Thanks dude. ICS sucks. JellyBean Isn't stable enough yet. Gb is the best for now.

Hmmm....FM Radio and Notification Light works in Jelly Bean v4.1.2 (unless you use nAa Custom Kernel v3.+.+, FM Radio will not be working) while in Jelly Bean v4.2.2 only FM Radio didn't works....Notification Light work fine...
Well i use a GIngerbread custom rom ofc. i wound use the official GB because it's bloated with apps i will not ever use. I found a nice Xperia S styled rom and i use it the battery is mutch better performance is 10x better. Hopefully when NobodyAtAll will start developing Roms for these devices it will be top notch stuff.

So you are saying that GB still beats the custom JB roms(i.e. CM 10.1 LX, FXP CM 10, etc.)??
In therms of my daily usage. If the FM radio , notification lights worked then Jelly would be the best beast of a rom.

Well, If the JB room has its focus on performance, then its better than a GB one, at least from my experience

Hmm....even if GB and JB has the same number of app and the same configuration, JB is still superior than GB....JB is a continuest evolution in Android development....what ever bug in previous release on Android is fixes in the next release + new features/addon in every next development....
now the main problem is right now, our MDPI devices is born with GB as default Android version, so basically GB if perfect for our devices...ICS is in the other hand is a minor upgrade before SONY abandoned Sony Ericsson product...so whatever bug in ICS will never be fixed by SONY, instead SONY release JB for 2012 devices...what we have in JB right now is probably 70% capability of the true JB come from Dev in CM....
Also to my knowledge, there is not a fully working camera/video recording on JB, that is pretty much the only reason keeping me on ICS right now.

Hello Guys.
Recently I flashed Project GX in hope of lagless and smooth UI. In fact, it works pretty cool, my question is if there is any better (less battery draining, less useless apps pre-installed) Kernel and ROM that I can fastboot and flash.
So in conclusion I am looking for:
- Very good performance,
- No UI lag at ALL.
- No lag in games (well it's not Xperia Z1/2, but still)
- More than good battery life.
- No carp-apps installed.
And please no CyanogenMod as my phone doesn't seem to like it.
Cheers.

Stock ROM is the best ROM - after installing so many ROMS you realize that it is better to keep stock ROM.
But if you still want to use custom ROM :
Try these. i felt they have very few bugs with almost no lags.

If you can live with it, stock Gingerbread is the best ROM for Sola. It is really light on RAM and smooth. Crap apps can be removed afterwards.
May you live long and strong, so my memory lives on...
Use
4.1.2 ultimate ROM v11
It's like 4.2.2 in Xperia z ultra and super fast and light
With this Rom I could play. Modern combat and NFS most wanted wirh no lag,,
In custom Roms that I tried it was the best
Sorry for English

Hi, i'm with the MIUI.eu Rom at the moment but i'd like to change Rom, what Rom would you suggest me?
I'm looking for a Rom with the best camera quality (i know that it will be worse than miui probably), battery life and features.

I guess camera and ROM doesn't have much of a relation. I would suggest you to try the latest port of google camera with hdr+. It wheels with most ROMs.
For better battery life you can use a custom kernel like radon which i personally use and i have to say it's pretty awesome in terms of battery and performance.

I suggest u to use cosmic os..there r not many users..but it one of the smoothest n stable ROM I have ever seen...camera quality is quite comparable to miui...this ROM has zero ui glitches.. If u want customisation then there r bunch of customisation which r useful unlike creepy unwanted features found on other ROM(RR ROM)..its based on caf..so the battery life is excellent... Its has color engine feature of aospa ROM..plzz do try this ROM...its excellent...u ll b shocked by the performance
