After i took a couple of slowmotion videos. I have noticed playing them with the stock video player switches on auto brightness for some reason. Am I the only one facing this issue?
Thanks
Mine does this with any video played on the stock player.
While it's playing, if I pull down the notification menu, it shows that the auto brightness has been enabled again and unchecks itself once the notification window completely opens.

I when i record a video and play it back. As soon as i start play, the screen dims.
I just got my S3 a few hours ago and its not stock. Is that a normal behavior?
My previous HOX did something very similar.
thx, nearly
Check for the brightness settings in the video player, it's on auto brightness, turn it off.

thanks a lot
Everytime I playback videos i've filmed they look very dim, yet if I hit backup it momentarily shows the video at its correct brightness level. Plus also the preview of the video is at the correct brightness level.
I've tried changing a few of the phones Display settings but nothing seems to stop this from happening. If anyone has any ideas it'd be appreciated.
Go into a video, pause it, hit menu and change the brightness from inside the player, disable auto-brightness as well while you are at it.
Ahh got it. I was doing that but initially could only see a few options, this time though I tried scrolling down and saw a load more including settings where I was able to disable auto brightness. Thanks.
My S3 seems to have no adjustability for video playback brightness. I recorded a few videos and during playback there is no options to adjust playback quality. When the video starts it is bright then goes dim but if you transfer it to the home screen (small pip window) it will re-brighten before moving to homescreen. Am I missing something?

Same problem here, anyone?
While video is playing. Menu. Settings. You'll see the video brightness option.
Got it!
I figured it out, the settings are there but only before rotating the phone to widescreen. Thanks!
So I downloaded a screen filter app of Google play and I've noticed that when I switch to full screen in the YouTube app and the play/pause button disappears the screen turns washed out. I don't remember it being like that before I got the app so I uninstalled it and that didn't work so I reset my phone but that still didn't work. It also happens watching videos off the internet in the stock video player. Is there a way to fix this or has it always been like that?
When I go into the gallery and click on the video it auto plays (without me hitting a play button) and then auto loops. I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to turn both these features off.
thank you in advance.
Bump..... Anyone?
Pretty sure it's a built in feature of the gallery, not sure if it can be turned off
I actually likethe autoplay feature in my Samsung gallery app in my Galaxy Note 8.
There is a speaker you can tap to get sound or turn off video sound.
My gallery recently stopped autoplaying my videos, but a phone restart fixed that.
I like this feature.
