Its 2.2.1.5! Are there any changes to S-Voice functions? (finally being able to set calendar appointments? or maybe updates to contacts)
And here I am still on A0A4. I hate Verizon.
Don't worry we will get that update sometime in the next 6 months. Gotta love Verizon always being last too update on everything

Would be nice if this update allows us Android 6.0 users to get the watch to work.
OTA.
Its much more faster and responsve...didnt even do a reset.
Have only tested it a couple of minutes. Will share if i find anything new with it.
Hope that they fix the damn always watch faces on ao we get more than digital and stock.

Was this update BOG2 or BOK1? I see the latter on Sammobile, released for SK Telecom and "Unknown".
I had manually installed BOG2 months back, so wondering why it would be available OTA only now.

It was the BOG2 OTA.
.......0k1 just received OTA in the UK. Feels snappier.

I took a chance and installed the BOK1 SK Telecom version on my Gear S bought in India. Went off well, and it does feel a bit snappier.
Also, I see an option in Gear Manager to forward calls from the Gear S to the phone (earlier, you could only forward from phone to the watch).
Anybody get their Gear S (with new update) to connect to a non-Samsung device running Android 6.0?

Still don't have the new play store. Don't think Google have ever been so slow.
I got it whilst trying to get the AOKP milestone to play nice. Had to reinstall GApps. Looks good, but I actually miss the old layout.
As far as tablet apps has there been more of them ? I had the nexus 7 for a few months and there wasn't many tablet apps . I really want another android tablet but I wish they had more apps

Yes, the new interface looks better, but I really hope goolge can improve it better just like itunes.
Has anyone actually had the new store pushed out to their N10 yet? I got it on my Galaxy Nexus within a day of when it was announced, and yet still nothing for my tablet. It seems like Google is using the same slow, random, and crap update process they use for pushing OS updates.

I got it 2 days after. What OS Update pushes? You mean all the non-Nexus devices and carrier-locked devices that carriers/manufacturers completely lock down against updates until they can put their blockware/bloatware on it?
EDIT: I do know what you mean by slow and random update process, as it is frustrating, seeing as my phone got the new app store like 3 days after the Nexus 10 did. Just don't feel OS updates are relevant

Not just 4.2.2, every OS update Google has every pushed at since they started the Nexus program. I find it weird the new Play update is doing the same thing, for every other app update in the Play Store every user gets updated at the same time.

Now just 4 apps are being shown on the screeen

pathetic

I'm looking to trade up and exchange my current 16gb to the 32gb before my 14 days is up. What I want with this thread is for EVERY POSSIBLE USER that has received their 32gb S4 to confirm whether or not it came with the ME7 update. This will help myself and hopefully a few others decide whether or not it is in our best interest to make the switch or just buy and SD Card to help us sleep a little better at night. Personally, I like the latest and greatest and the more memory the better. I have no problem filling up space (not intended to be a fat joke). Please post if your 32gb S4 came with the updated ME7 or under.
Thank you!
I got mine yesterday it didn't have the update. Rooted and loked right now.

Thanks for the few replies. Anyone else with the 32gig version please feel free to chime in.
Are you getting it online or in store? I've thought of this as well and figured i would do it in store but ask them to power on the device and look for myself first. But I'm sure a root method will eventually turn up.

I traded up to the 32GB, arrived today via FedEx. Did not come with the update installed, but did download it immediately OTA as soon as I activated it. That said, you have the option not to install it once it downloads.

Here's what it does.. Both of my 32G came with MDK.. but both of them downloaded the ME7 update OTA when I activated the phones on my Sim cards and got it set up. However it gives u the option to install now or install later. If u don't want to update then hit install later..

Oh yeah, didn't have the update, got mine on Friday. Although it did download the update, I just set the time to install the next day, then I put a custom ROM on this beast

Got mine on Wednesday. They were setting it up at the store and I could see the update loading. He had to pull the battery to do something with the SIM card, so the update stopped, and when the phone came back on (he was still setting it up to activate) he did something to delay the update.
The next morning, after having the phone on the charger all night (but shut off), when I turned it on in the morning, it was installing the update (must have somehow downloaded the rest overnight (but the phone was off? ). So I just let it go.
Didn't have much of a chance to do much with the phone besides downloading my apps the first day and setting up my go launcher settings, so having the update day 2,I couldn't tell any difference.
But this phone is a ton snappier than my old phone -HTC Rezound, and loving it so far. My main reason to root in the past was to get the latest version of Android, since HTC and Verizon neglected my old phone. This one has the latest version already and with 32gb internal, I'm not concerned with the bloat...
I ordered a 32GB S4 via Verizon's website on 7/26 and it was still on the VRUAMDK software version. Luck of the draw I suppose!

How much was the 32gb? I got my s4 16gb a few days ago and it was like $249 upgrade price at verizon store with $50 mail in rebate :crying:
I did my phone upgrade via flywire.com
The phone arrived without the sim card installed.
I left the sim card out
Rooted it, twrp, installed apps via wifi, froze SDM using titanium backup, made a nandroid backup, installed cleanROM.
One can do a lot without inserting the sim card.
Samsung asks to download something initially (over wifi) , and when booting up after performing a data reset. I always said NO just in case it was the dreaded ME7 update
Online order here. It came with it.
I just got one of these in the mail. Does anyone else have one?

no i have it on my wrist right now. i'm not impressed tho in that the software is crap it has some bad bugs that being said tho if it didnt have the bugs it would be pretty cool (the truesmart I've pre-ordered will be better tho)
I think that the bugs are coursed by them trying to mix elements from the app drawer and the home screens together. it has no homescreens or widgets but has folders were you can put 3 yes only 3 apps per folder how useless. and sometimes apps show multiple icons per app installed worst i've gotten is 3 for one app install and only uninstalling it will remove it. also after you've filled so meny pages of apps it starts not showing some of them so you have to do a device search to find/open them. and if i try install say nova or next 3d instead of the usless default launcher they would be fine but. the notification bar totaly vanishes and stops working. so until someone makes better firmware for it or maybe the omate firmware will work on it ? it has omate firmware on it now and the model number also says omate. i'd just be worried about breaking it by doing that and couldn't anyway unless someone makes a root hack for this? so atm its not as good as it could be.

I would like to see how it works as a smartwatch All these discussions about various android watches got us far away from the original concept of smartwatch, to be a remote display for your smartphone where you get your notifications upon which you decide if you want to take out your smartphone to proceed That's how it works with MetaWatch and Pebble, a simple notification smartwatch. As much as I'm looking forward to Omate and other android smartwatches, these crossed the threshold of smartphone on your wrist which is an overkill for a lot of people. So, I would really like to see how this AW-414.Go will be able to deliver notifications about incoming calls, text messages, Gmail, and POP/IMAP/Exchange emails.

I am not sure if you can use it like the pebble it errored when I tried bluetooth it to my phone with the app that seems to be the one that does that and It didnt come with any instructions/manual.

I disagree in the sense that having a full android os means you can do a lot more with it and customise it however you want plus you dont have to use its built in phone/3g if you dont want to. I mostly use mine at home on wifi. The battery life is a joke on 3g and exstremely bad if you actualy actively use it with 3g/phone enabled and not just with those on in standby mode. But thats to be exspected due to the size of the batterys in these kinda devices.

It looks like T-Mobile has resumed the GS5 software update, but now it's NE6 instead of NE5 (the version that was pulled). I was able to update via Kies. I'm not really noticing anything new as compared to the NCH firmware that the phone shipped with, so I guess it's just a bugfix release. I can verify, though, that my LTE speeds seem perfectly normal, so I guess NE6 fixed whatever that problem was in NE5. Even though there aren't any new features, bugfixes are always welcome.

It's not placebo. It is faster. This update was pushed to the international phones a while ago. It improved the camera, fingerprint sensor, and the overall lag. That's why it was ~185mb.

Got it last night. Haven't played with everything yet, but it's definitely faster and more responsive! Battery life seems to be much better too. When performing a fast reboot, the list of running background apps is about half of what it used to be. Also, connection with the Gear 2 neo is stronger.

Now for KitKat 4.4.3 :fingers-crossed:
This is supposed to fix the MMS bug right? That's been by far my only problem with the S5. If it also speeds up the camera, wake, etc, that's great as well.
And I guess I'll have to use KIES finally, as I can't manually pull it yet, unless someone has the zip!
Edit: Kies is grabbing it for me. Kies has sure cleaned up since the last time I used it a couple of years ago... I'm really hoping this fixes the MMS problem. Literally half the time, if I send a group message, I don't get all the responses. I activated my iPhone again for the time being pending this update.
