I have tried so many ROMs but none of them supports "Say Ok Google anytime". Is this a device specific problem or what? I have tried several ways to fix but they're all in vain. So anybody knows how to enable it or have it working?
P.S. Dynamic GApps solved the issue.

At first you must have installed Stock Gapps (I'm using OpenGapps).
And as for the second, the trick is you must have selected "English (USA)" in Voice Search Languages as your primal search language.
It's because this feature is enabled only for USA. But you can select your own language as the second one and it will work fine.

Stock gapps are necessary for it to get working? Because I'm using opengapps pico version. And yes my primary language is set to English USA everywhere.

Unfortunately in my case problem with "voice everywhere" was solved by Stock Gapps .
I've used anything from nano to pico to banks dynamic GAPPS and it's always worked on all of them right out of the box so I don't think it's a GAPPS issue.
Would you mention what rom so many did you use? If you are using nougat, ok Google is automatically on once you complete Google assistant setup...

I don't know about stock but the problem was related to pico version. I gave a try to Dynamic GApps and it worked for me finally! Now Google now working perfectly too.

Yes I never had Google assistant setup on first boot while using pico gapps. Maybe it was due to lack of necessary librariesor something. I tried on AOSPExtended, Legend and Lineage.

Add "GoogleAssistant" keywords to gapps config. If it's not working try enable Google assistant via magisk module.. If thats not working, i dunno, maybe its libraries thing, like you said before, or maybe hardware failure.. Hope this solve your problem... Cheers

This can be tricky, especially in modern android where you have a choice to make: Do you want an almost all Google OS or do you want AOSP OS?
These days, when you install your gapps, it uninstalls the CM apps unless you only use PICO. (which is just the basic for playstore functionality) Google will replace stock apps like Calendar, Calculator, Launcher, Browser, Clock, etc.
Personally, I try to limit Google and use AOSP, but the choice is yours.

No worries, there are a lot of hardware functionality issues. The camera doesn`t work etc...what can i do?
Go to http://opengapps.org/ and choose ARM architecture, the select 7.0 (android version). The choice of package is yours, but I personally like to use the aroma package. Even tough the touch functionalities sometimes glitch and I need to use the volume keys, you can choose everything you want, from apps to install to if you want to remove ROM default apps.

I personally love ResurrectionRemix because of its stability and customizability. About LineageOS I can't say much, since I only used that for something like 2 weeks, just to test.
I agree RR is one of the better ROMs.

If you get that error while installing RR(or any other ROM), it means that the installer script checked if your device is compatible with that ROM and it is not. Did you download the right ZIP for your device?
I think you can also get that error if you didn't wipe the necessary partitions. Usually you need wipe "/system", "/data" and "/cache". Make sure to make a backup of them before wiping.

This rom do not have Google service or Playstore, its stock China rom. A lot of Google force close when you install Google service and Playstore. FC seems never stop so it's headache unless you can stop the FC.

I am using open gapp pico, all Google apps work perfectly.
I deleted some apps in ROM that I don't like, now it's pretty clean for me.
There is a small problems that, when set to English display, some menus are not shown correctly, looks those menus are in Chinese and not translated to English.
CBG 28S v2 also work fine for me, it come with Google service and Playstore, debloated most Chinese apps

I am surprised you have stock recovery, I thought that zip is not real stock, so I was able to use tWRP to install that zip. normally tWRP cannot install stock zip.

Tried practically all versions of Google Play Service but still no luck. Keep getting the Google Services had stopped message. Removed the Google account and added it back, then I got the Problem in Communicating with Google Server. Had to revert back to 026S and wait for the official OTA update.
Unofficial OpenGApps for arm/arm64 Devices:
I built these from the OpenGApps git, just updated to API=27 (for Oreo 8.1). ARM64 fully tested on Google Pixel XL (Marlin) as working :good:
Currently Available Packages for ARM:
Aroma, Micro, Mini, Nano, Pico and Stock
Currently Available Packages for ARM64:
Aroma, Micro, Mini, Nano, Pico and Stock
IF you need a different package, feel free to request it in this thread. Although, IMO, "Super" and "Full" aren't really needed...
Go to my AFH to download: GApps Packages
These will be updated periodically, until "Official" comes out. If you have any questions, feel free to ask...

Thanks for the response! I did try the non-rooted google assistant, and it will work if I hold down on the home button, but I am not able to get it to work with voice input from any screen by saying "OK Google." That option is grayed out for me in settings. Again, I only have this issue with android 8.1 roms. 8.0 roms work great for me. Thanks again for the response!!

Yes, that is correct, pico. I'm going to try to install a larger package. Any suggestions based on what's available. I normally like nano but don't see that as an option.
UPDATE: I just installed micro and "OK Google" is working. Thank you!!

Downsizing!
I had completely forgotten... you can force any version of opengapps to install as a "smaller" version of the package by including a text file (UTF-8 created in regular ol' windows notepad worked for me) with the following path & name:
Code:
/sdcard/Open-GApps/gapps-config.txt
...and including a keyword for the 'downsized' package you want to install, in my case the Micro variant:
Code:
# Downsizing the 12/15 mini build to micro
MicroGApps
The # turns that line into a comment; everything else on that line is ignored.
Aroma installer doesn't work quite right in TWRP for my device (ZUK Z2 Pro), but I can take a Super or Stock or Mini or whatever larger-than-Micro install and turn it into Micro just by putting that text file with those lines in it in the right directory before flashing the opengapps package.
Here's a link to the documentation for more tricks like including or excluding specific packages:
https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Advanced-Features-and-Options
Hope this helps!

I use opengapps on my Samsung S5 with LineageOS. I've never tried microg. Microg has problems with LineageOS because of signature spoofing. I don't know if that would also cause problems with AOSP.
If you use opengapps install the pico size. It is smaller and less likely to cause problems. You can install any additional services not included in the pico package from the play store.

Open Gapps is Gapps. It is not really different from just installing from google (not putting down what they do here, just saying). Also, you will not be able to install on Android 10 as we have no TWRP.
