Hi! I recently bought a chinese tablet which is actually comercialized here in Argentina under Magnum Tech brand, model number x704.
It´s a 7.85", A7 arm dual core 1.2ghz, 1gb RAM, running Android 4.2.2. It runs a little slow, and for instance when playing Asphalt 8, there is a little delay with the turning controls.
Given the specs, I guess it could run smoother an ICS or the previous SO, and even better with a custom one.
So, does anybody know where can I find the roms for this tablet?
Please let me know if you need any screenshots or any additional information.
I would really appreciate your help.

It is fake. Have TECA LTE706B.
Antutu really shows 8 cores, but if the CPU is loaded to 100%, only 4 cores running, the others are stopped. Ram size is 3 gigabytes not 4GB. Benchmark results are exactly half that of the true 8 core!
Photos have a size corresponding 13Mpix, however it is only recalculated from 2Mpix and maybe not even that. The quality is terrible, and if I set the camera on 2Mpix and then 13Mpix, the quality is exactly the same. The tablet has the same author of kernel version and the build number is identical to the ROM for Dikon706... Exactly the same!

I have a TECA 706B 7 inch Tablet, but I don't know how to give you ROM or firmware.
Can you help on that?
Sorry off topic.
Hello. Do not swear, that question is not on. I would preobresti tablet, that are interested in this -. TECA 811S 4G 3.6GHz octa core 64GB 10.1 "Full-HD ANDROID 6.0 Not where I will not find reviews on the tablets of this firm if anyone that knows prompt.
Confirm Stingerray: It is fake. I can add something.
Really it has 4 cores of MTK6735 processor, 1GB RAM and 12 GB ROM. No ways to use more than 1GB RAM, on 800M used memory device has stopped working.
An attempts to fill more than 12GB - files have disappeared. To fill 11GB - OK.
Real size of the screen - 6.7". Battery experimental test - 3000 mAh. Device name is PS-LTE706, easy to find on Aliexpress. Price, naturally, much less.
Hi all.
I'm having a Huawei Mediapad X1 (7d-501u) however after purchase its performance was really really poor and laggy. Updated the software to B011 version , still the same poor performance (maybe just a very bit less laggy) ... So am I the only one with this experience ? Are other people satisfied with this device performance? It should be packed with 2gb ram & 1.6 quad processor... Actually I was expecting a monster in my hands...
Please share your opinions.
Thanks.
The hardware advantages of the X1, are: its screen (size and quality) and its huge battery. Processor and other performance issues are not. Just compare to previous top phones like the oneplus one.
The X2 should correct this, but maybe too late....
Totally agree with you. The screen and battery are great, but compare the performance with even much inferior devices like my samsung tab 4 7.0" which i thought it was a slow device untill I bought the X1 !
I really miss my old note 8.0 it was liquid smooth...
I want to make a port of android lolipop to my device (GT-9063T). This phone have only the stock 4.2.2 android and no custom roms.
The rom i`m getting as a base is the stock 5.1.1 update for Galaxy J1 Ace (J110M). The two devices have:
Dual sim support;
480x800 pixels
1.2 ghz, quad core processor
1 gb ram (the same tipe of ram too)
8gb internal memory.
Obs: There is more stuff, but i think the important ones are already here.
Are these devices similar enough so i can port the update more easily? If yes, what is the best thread you can link me to? I don't care about speed, i have the patience to spend a good time working on this.
Well, thank you guys for the attention
I'm not a developer but I believe in the end it boils down to similar processors

I don't know whether I should wait for the rn4 or go for the rn3. I'd really love the helio x20, but I don't think that would come to India cause of the lawsuit. Hypothetically, if it is launched, how would the software development be? Would it get many Roms? Cm especially? My second question is, if the rn4 comes with sd 652, it'll be like trading 3 mp of the rear camera in the rn3, for 2 cores in the rn4! Although, I'm not really into photography, that 16 mp cam does sound nice so do the 2 extra cores really make a difference, especially in gaming?
I've got the same question about the rom development for mediatek. I've used cm nearly for 2 years and I'll be switching to miui. It doesn't matter if there won't be cm for the rn4 mtk. Miui is good and I'm willing to do this change.
Being a photography amateur, i can tell you that mp doesn't do a difference. It's the sensor that counts. If the rn4 has a better image quality, go for it. Gaming depends on the gpu mostly and the adreno is more powerful than the mali. Will gaming be better with the 2 cores? I can't tell you.
Btw if that helps you, I'm buying the rn4 mtk insead of the rn3p.

Check the Redmi Note 3 (MediaTek) development thread if you want to get an idea of the scope for development (in short, some but not much). There are reports that there won't be a Snapdragon version of the Redmi Note 4 and you might have to unofficially import it. The difference in camera performance is negligible. Real world performance is identical, but GeekBench states the Redmi Note 4 has about 20% better single core performance, 50% better multicore performance and 25% better graphics performance on average. Also, the Redmi Note 4 has 10 cores which is 4 more than the SD650 and it is based on the 14nm architecture vs the 28nm of the SD650 but batterylife remains the same between the two.
Basically, the Redmi Note 4 is a slightly better phone but won't have anywhere near the amount of development the Note 3 has seen thus far. It not get CyanogenMod, but I think it will.
As a photographer I can confirm that higher megapixels doesn't necessarily mean better. Although people were saying that there's not much improvement in the rn4 cam over the rn3. I'd still take the 4 over the 3 anytime tho because the design is much nicer

So you're buying the rn4? Despite lesser development for mtk? Although MIUI is pretty great, many still do prefer cm and it being an mtk device, it reduces options for os change which I don't REALLY like... But according to notebookcheck.com the mtk GPU is better than the adrenochrome 510!! Which would've sold it for me, but mtk devices can't come to India because of a lawsuit with Ericsson and they're not planning on making a Qualcomm variant :'( also, when you get the phone, do tell me about it's camera performance!!

So the rn3 is still the better alternative, isn't it? Btw, the problem with unofficially importing it is that first off, it'll be in Chinese, so i have to fiddle around for the English version or flash English MIUI and then I don't know if I'll get warranty coverage, which I don't think I will... Lastly working with mtk devices scare me a bit, cause ive seen software like mtk flash tools, which I dont really understand! My mother has a Panasonic eluga turbo which is mtk and there isn't a single rom for that!!! (Literally)

You are NOT wrong!! The rn4 does look better! It's more squarish and well defined! The rn3 is a little curvy for my taste...

I'm on the fence on this one. I have a gut feeling that overall the Redmi Note 3 Pro might have better day-to-day performance because it's software is better optimised (X20 devices showed significant GPU lag in the beginning due to bad drivers, yet the Note 3 has open kernel sources and CAF builds). My heart says "Note 4" ("better" SOC, looks) yet my brain says "Note 3" (Awesome ROM support, cheaper). I hate the rounded plastic looking design of the Note 3 yet I think the Note 4 looks pretty good with its all metallic build and reflective chamfers (it just lacks a USB type C port for symmetry and reliability). On my Mi4c I stayed mostly on MIUI despite loving CM13 because of the better camera software (I am super-critical of camera performance, but I don't have high hopes for either of these in anything else but perfect conditions) so I think given the choice I would anyway have a MIUI running Note 3.
Usually, the reseller that you buy it from has a 1-2 year warranty, look out for those if it matters to you. I personally always do my own repairs, but we have a local reseller that repairs Xiaomi phones should I ever get stuck (I extrapolated it's the same where you come from). Generally speaking, Xiaomi is very tolerant when it comes to modifying devices, but you might have to read up more on that regarding your specific country.
I have flashed MIUI on a MediaTek Redmi Note 2 without any issue or difference from the Snapdragon versions. The Note 4 already has an English custom ROM available it's great, I've used it on 3 different Xiaomis before (Mi 4c, Redmi Note 2 and Mi 4). Here is the link: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-9-15-19.34208/ . I haven't used flash tools on MediaTek devices but had to on several Snapdragon and Exynos devices. They're stupendously easy to use, you don't have to worry if it comes to that.
