htc droid dna 4G - HTC Droid DNA

hello..
I have the HTC DROID DNA by Verizon. Bought it from US but i live in GREECE now.
Is there a way to use 4G on my carrier here? (VODAFONE/COSMOTE/WIND. i have SIM from all the carriers). i only get HSDPA from GLOBAL network type. If i select LTE i dont get signal.
Im s-off and rooted. Rom:CM 12.1, lollipop 5.1.1
I dont mind if i should flash another ROM. i just want to use the 4G/LTE that DNA supports.

Unlocking more bands?
Hello guys.. as i mentioned above my problem is that i cant get 4G on my Droid DNA on a non-Verizon SIM card.
i found that the day supports the LTE band 13(700) - Verizon only for 4G. Is there a way to unlock mroe bands on this phone; (like FDD-->900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2600 MHz?
thanks in advance!

Development here is slowed now. But generally I think the band's have to do with hardware so unless your 4g band is specified in the phone specs then no way to add a band.

thanks!

Good question did you ever get a reply on this?
O think it only supports overseas such as the e.u. and all. I think you would only get 1x data no 3g

DROID RAZR - UNLOCKED *DOES* WORK ON T-MOBILE USA and WIND MOBILE and V-TRON CANADA
Late thread revival... meant to respond to this one months ago! Whoops!
Anyway --- YES! This WILL indeed work with T-Mobile if you get the proper unlock code!
This has 4 different GSM frequency bands and 4 different UMTS frequency bands.
This means that you will get T-Mobile GPRS / EDGE coverage everywhere, T-Mobile 4G coverage in areas that are rolling over to 1900MHz as well as 3G roaming on AT&T in 850 and 1900MHz areas where T-Mobile doesn't have native coverage (Wausau, WI and Appleton, WI are two examples I can think of offhand)
Of course, you won't get LTE coverage, but you will get HSPA+ 4G / HSPA 3G and EDGE / GPRS on T-Mobile USA and Wind Mobile in Canada.
I'd like to try this.
Has anyone had verified success at this? I'd like to try if possible.

[Q] Droid DNA network unlocked? How does ESN effect users outside of the US etc.

I recently posted this in another thread, however I am desperate to buy a handset so I will post ot here too.
I am now again looking at buying the Droid DNA due to being screwed around by previous seller on eBay! I wanted to ask this: Everywhere seems to state that the Droid DNA is network unlocked. Is this true? If it is then why are people sometimes stating on eBay that only GSM will work and no DATA outside of the US! (I live in Australia and this is obviously important to me)
I am seriously getting so confused because of mixed seller listings. Some people say it is factory unlocked and some people say it is locked to Verizon. What is the deal? Also if the phone has a bad ESN or they fail to make a payment later on down the track and it does become bad, does this mean it will stop working in Australia or is it solely based around US and Verizon in general?
About the seller on eBay, I have now been refunded my money for my recent transaction. The seller did not mention that the device didn't come with it's box, instructions, charger etc. He also has no intention of mentioning it because he has relisted it without even indicating it. He is just trying to get an international buyer to deal with it is my guess. It was just a handset and a case. Very misleading, I am lucky that I confirmed with him just before he was selling it. It was one of those buy it nows that need to be paid upfront.
Thanks guys!
It is factory unlocked. You can pop a SIM in and it'll work, assuming your carrier uses one of the band's the DNA supports. Mms is apparently an issue for some though.

Bad ESN won't affect you 1 bit on GSM network in Australia.
There are always some noobs who sell products on eBay without knowing what their product can actually do. Like those who mention it being Verizon locked. Cdma and LTE is Verizon only. HSDPA is unlocked.
From my Note 2, right in your face....
Thank god! Now I can just buy whichever one is the best price, rather than it telling me it is Unlocked and such. I am so damn happy now. I was worried that DATA wouldn't work! I am best to find one with a bad ESN and from someone who thinks it is Network locked then
PS Does it matter if the phone has never been activated from their side?

Hi, Can someone answer this query. I am looking to buy from one of the auctions on ebay US which says the phone is "verizon locked" and has been activated on verizon. I will be using this in India. So I need to be confirmed that all Droid DNAs are factory unlocked.

All Droid DNA are carrier unlocked. As long as your network is supported then you are good to go.
2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100

Thanks, but based on responses above it looks like outside Verizon, 4G and CDMA bands are network locked and won't work. Is it correct understanding? Or if my carrier just supports those frequencies it will work?
In other words is it fully factory unlocked for all bands?

You might have to pm funky and ask him. If your 4G is the same frequency as what is listed then I don't see how they could block it outside of the US
I just found out that even with a blacklisted ESN the phone will still work with any activated SIM. lTE phones uses the IMEI and VZW can't block those. there is another thread in this sub forum that talks more about this

[Q] Carrier Unlock for international use

It is my understanding that my(our) DNA would be ok to use internationally with another provider.
How do we go about unlocking the DNA and freeing it from VZ ? I apologize in advance if this was posted elsewhere as i didn't find anything.

Its sim portion is carrier unlocked for use on any compatible GSM provider out of the box, no unlocking required. I use mine on T-Mobile. Other CDMA carriers is another story. If the service uses a sim card you're good to go as soon as you insert the sim card and boot up.

Well, HSDPA network as its GSM, but yes, any GSM network using the frequencies the DNA can use will work without any modding or changes.

Did it work for you?
I have a Droid DNA that I plan to use on my trip to Switzerland using provider called Salt. Did you get your droid DNA to work wth the European service providers? Did you have any difficulties?

[Q] Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE

So ive been browsing around google and searching. I know usually unlocked gsm phones cant work if trying to use it on a cdma network like sprint and verizon. Im currently on sprint and was wondering if the z ultra LTE version can work through sprints network? I came across this http://www.mobicity.com/sony-xperia-z-ultra-4g-lte-c6833.html if you look in the recommended network it also says sprint on there. Was this a miss type or is this true? If its true..probably thinking of purchasing one to use for sprint.

Your safest bet would be the C6806. It's duel band LTE. so has frequencies that work on AT&T as well as T-Mobile.
Do you know what frequencies they use? Then you can work out what verizon or sprint uses

AT&T uses 4G LTE : 800/1800/2600 MHz
http://www.wpsantennas.com/cellular-frequency-information.aspx
This website suggests that:
Spring uses 4G LTE: 1900
The C6833 uses 4G LTE on the following: 800 / 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600
So according to websites... you should be able to get 4G using the C6833
But even the C6806 will work... as it runs 1900 and 800...

well you will always get 3G.... but according to those sources you will get 4G with what ever device you use.
I'd make the jump, as 3G+ is still nothing to sneeze at.
I have both the C6802 (3G+) and C6833 (4G)... [its a long story!!]
The 4G isn't a hell of a lot faster... Maybe thats just over here in New Zealand...

I went to a sprint store and asked..they said it still wont work even if they both have the 1900 bands.as those are gsm bands and sprint is the cdma band.
Will any of the sony xperia z ultra versions work on Verizon network? Thanks
VZW is CDMA like Sprint, and will not work because this mobile phone is a GSM global phone.
Two different radio technologies.
Sent from my C6806 using XDA Free mobile app
No luck. You won't be having much of a link on this.
I highly doubt any z ultra would work on CDMA networks.
Why don't you go for Galaxy mega 6.3 if you really want a big phone. It's a really good phone as well! Works on CDMA..
Ill just use the xperia z ultra on AT&T if i decide to get one. Right now im looking at 4 devices. Nexus 6,Note 4 international,Note 3 international, and the Sony Xperia Z ultra.
Has anyone found any new info on this at all.

I'd say check and see what frequency they operate at then compare it with the max. As long as your sim card slot is unlocked it should I would think.

I have a Sprint One Max that I sim unlocked and use a straight talk at&t sim , mms works with go sms , or evolve , just have to manually set APN settings I get a better signal than I did with my htc sensation with a straight talk t-mobile sim , no LTE but HSPA , I know the Max is compatible with at&t or t-mobile straight talk sims and pretty much covers all bands for just about everyone but I would still double check with the provider you want to use just to make sure

So LTE isn't an option? Are you using a 4.2.2 ROM, as I am...is it necessary for me to revert back to 4.3? Sorry for the 21 q's....

no,not yet at least, i think it has to do with straight talk and not the phone cause I'm sure it covers the bands and I have been on 4.3 and currently on 4.4 ( was on viper rom now on nusense) and have tried everything to get lte going but my hspa speeds are still pretty good though so no complaints here , but again I have a sprint Max with a straight talk at&t sim so not sure if it would be the same for yours or not but I would think so
