What's your goal with this kernel?
I hope that it stays close to Francos kernel as much as possible with the only difference being that its for CM. There is just something about simple kernels

This baby is Awesome on 6.0.1. You need to already have fastboot flashed your 6.0.1 img files first but getting 6+ hours SOT and very fast.

Nicely done, been wanting to try this. For some reason, auto-flash from the app didn't work for me, just rebooted with the old kernel. I have twrp, maybe that's the issue.
The zip worked fine, and I am now experiencing the Franco kernel goodness. Thanks!!!

I've decided to make a flashable zip of the latest kernel I've been working on. It's based on gproj, with added faux gamma/sound/voltage (thanks paulicat!) and BLX and additional governors and schedulers.
This kernel also has a min frequency of 162 MHz.
The zip includes the lights.so for canadian geebs.
Included governors:
msm-dcvs
userspace
smartmax
powersave
ondemandplus
ondemand
lazy
interactive
intellidemand
asswax
wheatley (default)
performance
Included schedulers:
noop
deadline
row
cfq
fiops
sio (default)
This should work on all CAF based ROMs (CM 11.0, Carbon, Mahdi, etc)
I'm not responsible if this damages your phone, destroys data, etc...

TeamVanir presents
VANIR
Yeah, it's got a HEMI.
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
BY LINARO, I MEAN GLOBAL "-O2 -fstrict-aliasing".... we didn't just switch toolchains. Here at Team Vanir, WE GO HARD.
I created this thread with the permission of Dave Kessler, one of the lead devs for Vanir Rom. This is not my work, rather the awesome effort of the Vanir Team. If you feel like donating, donate to the team, not me. I am not a dev in any way shape or form. Calling me a dev is like calling Mark Sanchez a quarterback. The goal of this thread is to help users with issues, and just talk in general about anything really.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op
Download
Download - DHO builds
Gapps - Vanir recommends the latest goo.im gapps or DHOs gapps
Issues:
- Flash CAF-Based Kernels with this ROM
- stop flashing the moto X binaries. they do not improve anything for you and aren't even for your device.
- open source camera and launcher3 do not have the same featuers as the google versions. use the latest
banks standard gapps if you'd like these. His gapps are super legit and always up to date.

Hello everyone, after long studying both kernel and ROMs, i've decided to start building a ROM of my own for the device OnePlus One. After this I was motivated to try share this work with other devices too.
I'll try always share a odex and also a deoxed version.
Download
Features:
Updated SQL to 3.10.0.2
Optimized SQL code for faster Read/Write
SuperUser
Camera Next
Improved Code of frameworks
Optimized Build and compiled with GCC 5.1 (only kernel is GCC 4.8 for now)
Improved sound with speex resampler
Improved bionic with many optimized libraries
Translation to Russian
More than 150 mem fixes not included on cm builds
Alot of aliasing fixes and ready for aliasing optimizations (better)
F2FS ready for data and cache (only recommend over cache.
Wake Blocker added (don't need to add xposed and don't loose speed since you'll use a inside solution)
More coming soon
Share your opinion and suggestions.
I'm a very praticle user, and my aim will be to get a very fluid stable system, at same time with speed and battery, keeping most stock possible with the optimizations which will improve for real our experience.
Thanks

No It should not. That is left to be controlled at the Rom level but the kernel does support encryption. If you find behavior to the contrary, then please post Rom name and if Rom's Encryption was completely turned off or not.
I can see Hammerhead version on Androidfilehost. Does it have equally features like Shamu version?

Been running it now for a good day and a half, since I saw the post on Google Plus community and it is running nicely. Very nice work.

If you're referring to DT2S and DT2W then yes it does. If you're referring to Unlock tap Patterns, then that's not baked in.

Just to be straight, if I was to flash CM13 and this kernel it would force encrypt since CM13 in stock form encrypts. Right? I Matt want to be clear on this and I know that it sounds like I am beating a dead horse... Lol.. I have tried it already on other roms but have held off on CM until completely sure. Thank you.

You are correct . CM does force encryption. An alternative that you can do to keep your device unencrypted is using this

That is what I used to be on the safe side. And it worked like a charm. Thank you very much for the clarification.
Man I gotta tell you your bioshock governor is seriously the best governor I've ever used for my N6! This kernel really is solid. Thanks. I hope you keep adding some more things but as it is it fits my needs perfect til Android N drops.

Hey @canodroid15,
Great work on this kernel. Love it. Can you add multirom support? Thanks in advance

We will be adding more features for sure . We have a lot of devices we are planning to bring up for support so we are getting a solid base with solid features and modeling the rest after that.

Thanks for the kernel, I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces.
Is colour calibration on the way? The Nexus 6 screen is garbage without it.
Cheers,
-A

We will add more features as we move forward. At this time though we are busy bringing up some of our other devices.
